@@funlovingvoyeur the point is not about going faster from the cam cars point of view, its about traffic blocking the roundabout because they all sit in lane 1 when 2 lanes available and traffic backs up onto the roundabout. the point of a merge in turn which was after the traffic lights is to reduce the length of traffic by spreading it over multiple lanes to free roads up behind to stop grid lock but so many people dont understand the concept it doesnt make a difference.

The first clip , the cars didn't "vanish" . The car at fault effed off to the left and the victim of the hit and run pulled up onto the path once he got through the junction .

@@chellebean8925 To be fair, there is nothing wrong with what he did. If both lanes go straight, and he is going straight, then use either lane. It's always the rule with merge in turn, use both lanes until the merge point, don't go into one lane super early because it can lead to congestion further back. It was very weird he sent a very long and defensive video in about it but I'm guessing he's had incidents with people who didn't like what he did. Bit odd, but nothing he did was wrong.

05:10 - "What's he doing?", it's a steep hill so going from side to side reduces the incline, he's obviously worried that he'll go so slowly he'll fall off. I'd be very wary about trying to push past a cyclist struggling like this just to save a few seconds. Well done for having the patience to wait until he gave up the struggle.

Whilst stupid to not cut in onto the bumper of the car ahead, the clip is suspiciously sped up. Between the start and the collision the gap between lorry and car ahead was large enough for an overtake but swiftly reduces even before brakes are seen. The onus is on the estate car to make the clean overtake and pull in once safe (even into the diminishing gap) without colliding. But there’s equally a responsibility on the lorry driver to be aware and hold a steady speed or aim to avoid danger (ie the stupidly reduced gap). A decent person, given time over again, would surely wish they just left a bigger gap. Even if the estate took bad action. Maybe the lorry driver is in total shock that the estate came across when it did. It does seem unbelievable. Only today I was following cars doing 43 in a 60 today looking out for a chance to overtake both yet keeping a 2 to 3 seconds gap. But when a gaggle of bikes came up behind it only seemed sensible to leave an even bigger gap. Sure enough whilst the front bikes got all 3 cars, the third bike took the gap I left. I want nothing to do with someone else’s mistake. Common sense is just lacking.

Not only too fast - the van entered the roundabout slightly ahead of you - the rules for roundabouts are to give way to the traffic already on the roundabout that is to your right - nowhere does it say you have to give way to traffic approaching from the right but not yet on the roundabout

#2 as soon as it came up I said its the A15! Terrible drivers on both the 15 and 17. Lincolnshire is a crazy place to drive!

#9 - what is he doing? Saddle set far to low, so they cannot efficiently use their thigh muscles to drive the bike. Result, slower and slower, ever more wobbly until they have to get off. So many people do not set their saddle high enough for efficient riding.

As someone who rides a bike frequently, I believe the seat/saddle height should be set so the toes of both feet reach the ground but allow proper extension of the legs when pedalling as well as full balance when stopped and/or dismounting (so you and the bike don't fall over). It also makes cycling up inclined roads easier.

At 8:46, I often have seen a vehicle on my right in this situation, know I have to wait for it, and so look left to make sure there's nothing coming from the other direction. It's the car you haven't seen that hits you!

#1 Cammer was in the wrong lane anyway, the car in front to the right was also in the wrong lane ,but was signalling. #4 Reg of the van: BT69ENE (or EME). #9 Cyclist should have gotten off earlier as he was clearly having trouble on that hill.

#16 - you had SEVEN seconds to react to that. - this was done entirely deliberately to get youtube content... you should have your licence revoked... shocking driving.

7:24, you both entered the roundabout at virtually the exact same time, and you were fair bombing along there. No need for a horn, a bit of common sense and watching your own speed there would have done the job.

"what he doing" says the guy in a car... the cyclist is cycling up a hill dude.

Number 8. If traffic is flowing you might as well stay in one lane. If it is stood still, use all available road space to help ease congestion.

pretty much what the clip is about. some people simply can't grasp that simple idea. clearly you've grasped it.

Definitely both lanes should be used - it reduces the tail-back length and makes best use of the road. If they didn't want drivers to use that second lane then presumably they would have coned that off, too.

At 2:0 the cammer pruposely sped up and cut the roundabout to make a situation. I notice this lots of times, it's actually the cammer at fault

Stopped before watching it all ... its just so depressing ...

There is something you can add to your bike so that the chain doesn't slip off. Unfortunately I don't know the english word for it. Maybe someone else could help me out here. Never had that problem again.

Not queue jumping at all. All done correctly. It's the people that don't use all the lanes are the ones in the wrong. Especially those that then go on to block the open lane because they want to wait in the queue. Its also not about getting ahead of everone else. Its about using all of the road correctly

#16 You need to have a serious word with yourself coming into that right hand turn like that when you can SEE oncoming traffic in the distance.. at the 7.53 mark you cannot see if anything is coming to turn right so you're risking a head on collision because you're annoyed someone pulled out on you with plenty of time to deal with it. He did that to avoid slamming into the back of the other lorry or tipping over turning left, which wouldnt garentee missing the other lorry, its also safe to assume he has a better view of that bit of road than his camera does. As for why the other lorry pulled ahead so much quicker, it could have a loghter load/no load, didnt have to stop on a hill and already had momentum from pulling out. As fr the last bit of the clip, clearly the lorry driver pulling out is god awful and needs to be banned from HGV driving until he takes further training on awareness.

@@musicjunkiie2393 I'm not sure what you're getting at here.. 1) He should've slowed down, you always slow down and use caution when a vehicle is waiting to pull out onto an A road, this way you cut the chances of T boning someone. 2) He did not slow down even after he saw the lorry pulling out, he used his annoyance at the bad emerge to give himself the gusto to carry on at the same speed (butthurt) and was seriously thinking about overtaking. I think you've read this clip completely wrong.

Come on don't be silly. The whole entire reason mini roundabouts are not solid objects with kerbs is for this exact reason lorries and busses wouldn't make it round them. This is clearly a lorry or bus and so it is expected they will have to cut the roundabout to clear it.

2:30 good example of how dangerous it can be to wait for the lights to turn green when you are cycling. I do hope that driver was reported.

#6: Seeing this too often now from EV cars with their off the line acceleration. If an EV is front of the queue at lights, I give it wide berth because 9 times out of ten it's this stupid thing they will pull because they know their 0-30 is likely to be better than most ICE cars.

No queue jumping, is correct. Space was available, and should have been used, it being open to be used, not blocked off. What the biker was doing was zig zagging in order to help them get up the hill, as far as they could. Doing what they were doing does help, but being to elevated could only manage so far.

number 5, maybe if you learnt how to use a mini roundabout properly, you wouldn't have that situation. the genius of mini roundabout design is it's VERY difficult to have an accident if used properly. the number of times i've had to educate people on this for the penny to finally drop. it's called a ROUNDabout for a reason wally brains, not CUTACROSSabout. looks like you're in a truck, so your turning circle is wider, which means if you took the correct path, you would have seen the back of them as you passed through to your exit. if that was a collision, believe me, you would be equally culpable if not fully.

@@garyboyle695 firstly, you're being pedantic with hgv/lorry when both truck and lorry can be used interchangeably einstein. now, saying you can't go around the roundabout because of the size is to coin your term "nonsense", because the video shows plenty of space on the left. you made zero effort to even ATTEMPT a wider turn to account for the apparent lack of space. instead, you chose to cut across because you're self entitled. that's obviously your general behaviour, so take this as a lesson on how to take mini roundabouts, in a truck oops LORRY or otherwise! as i said earlier, if this ended in a collision, you would have a very hard time getting away with your general walliness in court or justifying your action on the insurance claim.

5 - Physician, first heal yourself. You obviously cut over the centre spot rather than driving around it. 8 - Thus proving that you made up no time by "using all the road space". I've been in a similar situation where the closed lanes were blocked and the traffic speed in the through lane rose from 5mph to 30mph. 11 - Cyclist was riding an unroadworthy vehicle (evidenced by the chain jump). How is this your fault? 12 - Driver who stopped is an Audiot. Enough said? 15 - "When I blew my horn" - or "When I decided to provoke an idiot"...

11 Nobody said he was at fault. And a chain will eventually slip off. It should be mandatory for new bikes to have a thingy in place (don't no the name in english) that prevents it from slipping off. Most people don't know that even exists.

5:30 #10 cammer is another of those drivers who seem to think because parked cars are not on 'their side' of the road, they have priority over an oncoming vehicle that has already moved into the narrow section of road.

No, the red light applies to the white line at the entrance to the junction. He had already crossed the line when the light was on green. He was just clearing the junction.

Oh dear some one doesn't realise why mini roundabouts are not islands with kerbs etc.... it's for this exact reason HGVs busses and other large vehicles would never make it round them. It is expected large vehicles will have to pass over the island to clear the junction it's the only way they can make it
