I graduated HS with 30 college credits and got a full academic scholarship to a prestigious University and obtained a BSME in 3 years at no cost. I am a special education teacher. I have thought for 2 years that Trump has a reading disability. I tested students for qualifications for 25 years and he seems to fall into all the categories of a person with a reading/Language disability. This is also why I think he doesn’t want his school transcripts released. The more I hear him the more I am sure of this.

How could such a wealthy man not be educated? He wouldn't have been able to complete college. Future Presidents should be required to submit their college transcripts; no excuses, no exceptions. I would feel,sorry for this man if he weren't so downright mean.

As a child with dyslexia, I was embarrassed that at grade 3 I still couldn't read. I used to take my school reader home grades 1-3 and have my dad read them to me over and over again, I would memorize what he said for each picture, when I was called on to read I would recite the lines. Then half way through 3rd grade pictures started only appearing every couple pages, I had to memorize the lines between the pages. One day I lost track, was my turn to read and I swear to god I looked like Trump at that deposition. I tried to summarize what was going on in the story. Lol I got busted hard! Got the help I needed. But if I had to guess I would say when Trump looks at a page of words he's just seeing a swirling mess. Luckily my insatiable appetite for knowledge powered me through and once I learned how to read (I may be slow and have to re-read lines) I read everything I could get my hands on. It's not easy but it's worth it. Can't believe how a man in his 70s with all the resources available to him because of his wealth could simply spend his life avoiding it and being ignorant. Guessing Trump isn't just illiterate but also Lazy.

I was a child of the 70s with dyslexia. Luckily they found it early and I was able to get it straightened out by 3rd grade. It was still tough going through high school and college when it came time to write papers. I gravitated towards math and such because it made sense to me. I am avid reader now but I don't read fast.

I learned to read at a very young age coming from a family of college educated mother , aunts , uncles , older cousins . My favorite science teacher aunt owns a whole set of Encyclopedias, thick Oxford Dictionaries , Thesaurus , fiction/ nonfiction books , other notable authors , Philosophers , I READ THEM ALL. We lived at grandma, where all extended family also lives , bachelor uncles and aunts. They left me alone , no chores for me but they made sure I don't miss meals. So coming to America was an easy feat for me having an extensive command of the English language, able to pass requirements to obtain US visa . I was a university graduate myself , took extra units of literature , history , civics classes, history , geography , music , classical arts , architecture. Had enough of me blowing my own trumpet ? I came from an Asian country subjected to bigotry by Americans upon arriving . Then Americans elected Trump to the highest office. Just a cursory judgment of him I find him so illiterate, has a very poor command of the English language, zero knowledge of geography , history , cannot spell , very bad syntax, doesn't pay taxes , a fraud , a cheat , immoral , a groper , sex deviate with incestuous intents on his own daughter . I thought so highly of this country but after the Bushes Sr and Jr , then the worst came to be Trump . I conclude that republicans don't know what they are doing . They sure have a knack of voting into office the uneducated , lacking moral compass , warmongers who proceeded to murder thousands of innocents for being Muslims living in oil rich countries . And worst, making up lies as reason to wage unmanageable wars ( unsanctioned by the UN ) costing Americans Trillions of American taxpayers money . But of course approved by legislators who are spineless , cowards and dumb who never do due research. Sadly you are speaking the truth. When I was in the fourth grade I used to volunteer as a tutor. I started tutoring High School students. As I grew older I eventually began to tutor adults. Haha yea... Its been 4 decades now I mean a few weeks and its I dont know. I can accept a leader that has some difficulties with languages. But only if that leader strives to go around it. Use advisor listen to intel briefings. But this is problematic for many reasons. Firstly being leader/president rather in a country demands much. And I still think that there needs to be requirement for high offices beyond simply having cash and getting votes. This jobb is to important and this process should be done when you apply to run for it. This applies to democracies in general since we are a very educational driven society why shouldnt leader of the country require university degree etc?

Unfortunately, dyslexia was not recognised in the US until long after he was hatched, and the methods for successfully training students to bypass the problem came only in the last 3 decades. There is no way trumpf💨💨💩 was able to get through high school, even in his rich kids’ reform high school, without someone reading the questions to him, explaining vocab, concepts, or just taking the tests for him. r pray I'm dyslexic and its no excuse to not be able to read, I've had a college plus reading level since I was in 5th or 6th grade, the only time I'm at a disadvantage anymore is in drive throughs sometimes the menu signs look Russian lol or if I'm writing something I may misspell some words. I spend a lot of my time reading pretty difficult papers and studies.

And if he was going into a courtroom, would he really, honestly, forget to take his reading glasses if he needed them to read?? Seriously????

This is a man who’s been helped his entire life. His oldest sister did his school homework. He paid someone to take his SATs. Roy Cohn and then Michael Cohen served as aides for him. Ghostwriters wrote his books. Even one of his three wives worked for him and was better at dealmaking than he was. His niece almost became a ghostwriter for the sequel to “The Art of the Deal” for him, but as that niece stated, it was always “Too much and never enough” and then she eventually wrote a book that is critical of him. Well, I’m glad a majority of us said “This is too much ; enough!”.

I think besides his TAXES we should see his school transcripts!

I think this is the first of your videos that I ever saw six years ago and wow we have both changed so much. It’s been a long road but the journey has been made a little bit easier due to your reporting and your transparency and your integrity and integrity isoften in short supply, so thank you. If I did not mention it last time, I wanted to point out that you can actually watch books read on KZread. There are books read aloud on services like audible. There are KZread videos where the actual federalist papers are read aloud in their entirety word for word, and the idea of never having a book cover to cover, is more of a function of a personality deficit trait then a bona fide, inability to read I can respect people who have dyslexia, or other problems that make reading the traditional way not an option but if you don’t even wanna listen to a book being read with cool videos, visuals nonetheless than this is more deficit within your personality traits then a learning disability or visual processing error which you don’t really have control over my concussion. I struggled to read for years, but I still listened to books on audible like maybe a book or two a month and so with trumpet seems that there’s just no room in his mind to listen to an author might have to say, then difficulty actually reading which I can actually respect reading and writing down our some of the most complex processing tasks that we ask of our brain up there with driving, but no one dies. If you get distracted, just have to read the paper again but as a character defect, it’s a lot harder to get over becauseif you don’t have room in your head to hear the authors words for I don’t know half an hour a night you don’t have room in your mind for anyone else

The only reading he probably did was the classified documents. He probably didn't even finish it.

Someone should do a book quickly titled "Trump Can't Read" in small brackets below "(We're all fucked)", instant best seller.

David, every time I see him sign an EO, I notice two things. How big his signature is and how long it takes him to write it. I'm a business owner and I scribble my signature really fast to save time. I truly believe it's like the old days when illiterates signed with an X. He's mastered his signature but not much else.

To some small degree I feel sympathy for him. Who knows what kind of life he could have had of he had a pair of loving middle-class parents that had him in good schools and gave him the attention and affection every child deserves? He could have had such a normal and happy life.

However the fact that he may have dyslexia, or some form of reading comprehension or just a low grade school reading level is no reason to poke fun at him. In doing so, in a sense you're poking fun at everyone with an issue with reading. That's cruel. We should never become what we loathe, or dread. Besides, if such is the case..... who is to blame? Those that were supposed to teach him, & his parents as well. I noticed my son had dyslexia when he was in K- Grade. We worked with him at home, and he received extra help at school as well. I was on top of it. This man is a douche... but who carries at least part of the blame? Part of me pities him. It's obvious to me he was never loved & nurtured as a child should be.

I'm not surprised. And his supporters will _love_ this because they can't read either, they'll be comforted by a president who is on their level. The president always has such a huge influence on the tone and culture of any generation, and Trump's behaviour is constantly a source of sadness for me. Ignore all his policies, executive orders and cabinet appointments, ignore all the policy substance and just observe Trump the human being: He constantly lies, he is comfortable lying. He has very thin skin and has a tantrum about the smallest things, when anyone dares to criticise him or even question him he immediately acts with childish rage, spewing hatred and attacking that person with repulsive personal attacks about their appearance or other ad hominem remarks. Never touches on policy substance: he never argues for his ideas or tries to justify his policies instead he simply attacks and or tries to punish the critical people. We saw during the inauguration how he treated his wife, or the countless remarks he has made to female journalists and work colleagues, multiple rape allegations in the past (including rape of a child) and he also proudly engages in sexual assault: from his own words: "I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait (for their consent).. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything." This is the most troubling thing about his presidency, more than anything else. Trump has projecting this idea that it's _ok_ to be arrogant, selfish, cruel.. to care about nothing and no one, to act only in your own interest. To him there is no reason to be virtuous, kind, to show love to others. People are simply a to be used and if they are not useful then he will fire them. Whether he uses people for financial gain or using women to sate his warped sexual practices.He sucks them dry, like a vampire, and then removes himself from all contact once the well is dry. The Trump University case is a perfect example of it. He's just a classic con man. And I haven't even addressed his sexist or racist remarks either. All of this together is sending a message to young people and to all Americans. He says he's just getting rid of "political correctness" and that it's better to speak your mind, to be firm and straight to the point, to be brutally honest. He has no conception of the basic ideas of being a good person, of trying to help people and understand others. To carry out acts of kindness without demanding a payment afterwards. And already we can clearly see the influence this is having on Americans, particularly young men who are rapidly shifting towards this brutal, self-serving, arrogant persona in the image of their god, Lord Trump. The damage has been done and it may take generations before we see people return to a normal way of life, of sharing with and caring for others.

I mean, just look at his twitter account for example. All of his personal tweets are filled with spelling and grammatical errors. I think he probably can read, but it would be at the level of his speaking/vocab, probably around the reading skill of a 6 year old. There are also hundreds of examples where Trump has been reading from the teleprompter and has incorrectly pronounced very simple words, or where he has become clearly confused and started improvising, giving up completely because the words contain more than 4 letters.

Being a bit dyslexic myself and having two sons that are ranked 90 and 100% dyslexic, I have always thought this is his problem. However my son are smart, trump has always impressed me as having average intelligence or less. Put the two together and ... we get this.

Totally makes sense why he doesn't want his school records released.

I don't believe he actually went to any schools. I think "somebody" went and got well paid.

He can technically read but clearly not at a proficient level. I'd estimate that it's about a 3rd or 4th grade level. No exaggeration or hyperbole. He reads about as well and comfortably as most 8yo kids.
