Got the Huey today! I find some saturation is good, at least with my X-52 Pro. The physical stick I use moves further than the stick in the Huey can visually, so there's outer deadzone, so to speak. I have it at 75 for X and Y though I may try 85 tonight.

I suggest adding a button for night vision. I use vr so I also add gunner ROE and switching seats. So those are good to add into what you’ve already set.

Great vid Cap. I find reducing the saturation down to 70-75% with pitch and roll helps with helicopters in DCS. It reduces the physical stick throw needed to get a given cyclic input. When flying the real thing with a long cyclic control you don't move the cyclic very much at all, sometimes you fly just with a thumb and forefinger. Then going back flying in DCS with a short PC stick it just feels weird with 100% saturation.. Takes some getting used to in DCS as you have to be more gentle but I think it makes you fly more precisely. 20-25 curvature is a must of course.

The weakest one that it came with. And then oiled the feck out of it. Still not really loose enough.

From what I can tell, each plane must have its controls configured individually. Is there a way to set, at least, the basic controls in one place and have all the planes run in that dingle configuration?

There are a few controls that are global like VR Zoom that I always have bound but most important controls are plane-specific.

It would be really helpful if you could put your profile online for others to use.

Hey. So I have been following your videos for quite some time now and swear by them. I could use the communities help on this. I was setting my controls last night watching this video. I saved the settings, then swapped to a mission to load up setting. When I loaded them up, nothing saved. Then my collective and pedals stopped working. I deleted the saved file and now collective works and no pedals. Checked sim/ game settings, and nothing. All my other aircraft work. A little help on this? I created a map and we cancelled our missions night over this. Thanks

Yes a lot of us have had this bug. The only solution we found is to A) ensure you have latest version installed B) change 1 of 2 controls, then save it. Then re-load and change 2 more and repeat. Takes forever, but seems to work.

@@grimreapers Visualize a joystick and pretend it's your collective. When in the middle position, the controls are neutral. If you pull the stick all the way back you will be ADDING full collective (if not set to "slider"), and if you push all the way forwards, you will also be adding full collective, so the only way to set neutral Collective is to have the stick (collective) centered. If set to "slider" then if stick is all the way back, you are adding zero collective (neutral), and all the way forwards is full collective. I hope this makes sense. You want NO collective when the throttles are all the way back, and full collective all the way forwards, this is why it should be set as a "slider". Same for toe brakes. In the Tomcat for example, I could never figure out why the brakes were so shit when I pressed on the toe brakes, turns out that toe brakes are not set as a slider by default, so the harder I was pressing them, the less they were doing! Check Throttle/collective and toe brakes for ALL aircraft are set to "slider", and stick and rudder NOT set to slider (so that you get positive and negative X and Y inputs).
