Uganda approves tough new anti-gay law - BBC News

A new anti-gay law, one of the harshest laws of its kind in the world, has been singed into law in Uganda.
President Yoweri Museveni signed the Anti-Homosexuality Bill into law after parliament watered it down.
The new law calls for life in prison for those who are convicted under the act and in some circumstances, people could face the death penalty.
The law has received international condemnation, with the US President Joe Biden calling Uganda's new law "shameful" and a "tragic violation of universal human rights".

Well duh. And people have the right to be disgusted by it. You don’t get to tell other people in other countries how they react to your disgusting, inhuman laws. This is absolutely shameful and a distraction so that the malcontents of the public can take out their anger at a marginalized community. It’s an easy target and beyond pathetic. We call this scapegoating.

Right! This reporting is so dishonest. When people speak against LGBT and homosexuality they are talking primarily about pederasty etc… the western media report you can be killed for being gay and how evil this law is… The question is, why are they so upset that men who rape boys can be killed in particular? Death penalty is in other countries but they don’t freak out like this. What a hill to die on defending literal pederasty which is primarily what this bill is aimed at stopping!

Go see what the law says in the middle east concerning this. The UN and the US approach the Middle East's LGBTQ laws with caution due to various factors. Respect for cultural differences, national sovereignty, and non-interference are principles that shape international relations. But when it comes to Uganda, the UN and the US have been more vocal in their criticism of the country's anti-LGBTQ laws.

Honestly tho it's the fact people actually believe the west give two shts about black Africans like when have they ever. All they have ever done to Africa is rpe it of it's natural resources and ppl and hand them wyt jebus in return i bet they are regretting that now. Europeans are mad because that's more cases of ppl seeking asylum on their door step. It is not African culture it belongs in the west let them keep it. There are black and arab countries on that continent and yet they are only dictating to the African ones while still trading with the arabs who also have the same laws why is that? Since the west open the flood doors women and children are no longer feeling safe etc it's a hot mess why would Uganda what that for itself. To prove it picture this scenario: -God designs 2 EQUAL universes each with one EQUAL subject and he tells the 2 subjects to not disobey equally. -Logically there is nothing to make the subjects diverge from one another, so either they all choose to obey or they all disobey. Whatever they do happens equally exactly at the same time for the 2 subjects. -Therefore outcome is deterministically tied to design, hard determinism is true. -Let's say they disobey. -God gets bothered that the inevitable result determined by his design happens as he predicted and punishes the subjects. -If god for whatever reason kept creating the same scenario again and again, each subject would disobey exactly as the last. He would send them to hell one after the other, as they would all be "sinners" . -That would be the sin factory, but according to theistic dogma it would be alright. God creating sins is a plot hole in theism that proves that either god doesn't dislike sin or that sin doesn't exist. This scenario is immune to the free will excuse, as it proves choice is logically determined. If it contradicts your holy book, that is because your book is ilogical. Please spread this argument around. *Common counterarguments: Theist: God gave us free will. Answer: Since determimism was proven above, whatever phenomena you call free will is a fully deterministic process. Choosing and deliberation don't prove indeterminism because they are mechanisms themselves. T:Knowledge of the future doesn't mean god is responsible. A:The concept of responsability is never mentioned and determinism is true regardless of omniscience. T:People choose different things. A:Hard determinism doesn't forbid a diversity of behaviors. T:God can do anything. A:Except be contradictory or there would be an omnipotence paradox.

He gave them an option: become Ugandan citizens by canceling your other passports or leave the country. This law has nothing to do with whether there are two genders or not. This law imprisons homosexuals who never talk about their relational activity to anyone else, who also believe there are two genders. You imbeciles cannot even make this ultra simplistic distinction and therefore should consider self censorship as a form of charity.
