Wrong Whey this was actually the first time ever that a judge scored it that way in the UFC. That was also the biggest gap in scoring results like Matt Brown said yesterday in a tweet after the fight.

His chin hasn't really been tested...Khabibs offense has been so strong that we haven't seen much of his chin, Barboza didn't land any clean power shots

Manga Panda are you blind? That knee didn't land, Khabib defended it. And Barboza only landed 1 spinning kick, the other 2 were blocked by Khabib (he ducked under 1 one them).

He's just a really high level wrestler that mixes up his takedowns and goes for positional advantage and brutal ground and pound. He's got a great game plan. Wrestling is really about overwhelming your opponent and positional advantages. He's gonna be legendary man

Edson threw some great kicks at Khabib in the beginning of the first round and they had no effect on him. Khabib just kept moving forward. Barbosa has arguably the most ferocious kicks in UFC. LOL, he was ​a cyborg in there.

He just knows how to make the wrestling and grappling flow. I love how he immediately goes for that arm the second the opponent tries to post. It's brilliant, not just being a brute about it. I picked Edson and I stood firm on that pick so I'm eating some crow but I knew the risk Edson faced and khabib is that damn good, u know what's coming like with maia except your getting your brains punched in and then your post ripped out immediately.

Watching this knowing Khabib vs Tony didn't happen 😭

Great insights - thanks! The Khabib - Askren point of comparison is interesting. I always thought the ferocity difference is deliberate in Askren's case. He only goes as hard as he needs to beat a given opponent (e.g. see Askren v Kadestam for a very reserved punching TKO finish). In a traditional martial arts sense, the more efficient approach may be considered superior. Khabib's ferocity is impressive, but it goes beyond what he needs to win the fight. Perhaps that's why Khabib is fighting in the UFC, and Askren never did. I don't doubt, though, that Askren could turn up the ferocity level if he felt a need.

Khabib said all week he was going to show his boxing and stand with a puncher. He went to his bread and butter with nothing new.

Chicken McNugget is making a mockery of our sport. This is the most competitive, most talented, most entertaining division and he is holding it hostage by not fighting. I don't want to see those two magicians (Ferguson and Nurmagomedov) fight for a fake belt. There is something to be said about the 70 kg (155 lbs) weight range in that the majority of people fall into this division, because the human population follows a Gaussian distribution, with a mean body weight of 70kg.

Heres something I find interesting about Khabib. Unless Im missing something, he takes down people from trips and body locks with out weakening them with stand up first and once he has them they seem to go into shock. Ive never seen anyone strike him from the bottom. Its seems to me that his opponents are more concerned with escaping only to find themselves in the same position moments later. Lets look at the way Conor fought Mendez from the bottom. Im not trying to say Conor was really punishing Chad, Im trying to say that is the perspective people need to have to try to defeat Khabib. Can Ferguson do it? Kevin Lee? Conor? Khabibs stand up is not great but his lay down is other worldly. Floor fist fights in 2018!

An accurate jab and uppercut will keep khabib of you his stand up is very sloppy and poor technique he is basically a lightweight version of chael sonnen but when it comes to grappling khabib has the best top game in MMA but he can be beaten easily and quickly imo
