    Both respectful fighters, they both put up great fights. I'm getting pretty sick of people turning a competitive sport into what fighters like Diaz and other somewhat disrespectful fighters are making it. Respect your opponent or respect defeat.

    On top of being incredibly talented fighters, both of these men are class from the start to finish. I couldn't pick a winner before this fight, and I couldn't pick a guy to root for over the other. I hope these guys fight again in the future, but if Rory MacDonald and Condit fight again, I don't know if Carlos will be the #2 guy at 170# anymore.

    GSP dominated. The damage to GSP was done in a span of 30 seconds where Condit knocked him off balance with a head kick to the side of the head. GSP fell back and Condit swarmed, GSP scrambled and held on in guard, got up, hit Condit with 2 right hands and took him down and spent the remaining 2 and half minutes on top with ground and pound. BTW, you should see the cut on Condits face. GSP opened him up baaaad.

    I am complete agreeance with you and am glad people finally shed light on how much of a factor weight is. This is because a majority of fans probably have no experience with weight loss and gaining. GSP has to come up with weight he doesnt have where Silva has to lose the weight (much easier). Sounds like one person has his body to full potential and the other is just relaxin in the middle nice, fat and happy.

    GSP on fight night weight - 185 Anderson Fight night weight - 205 (weather in LHW or MW) Jones Fight night weight - 225 - GSP is 5'9 (fights @ 170) - Silva is 6'2 (fight @ 185 & 205) - Jones is 6'4 (fights @ 205) My opinion is, the only one at a disadvatage in this whole "superfight discussion" is GSP. His ability would be hindered by more muscle. Make Silva push some weights, and Fight Jones...They are 2 inches apart and have similar body frames. Thats my opinion...whats yours?

    Seems like everyone is forgetting that the difference between MW and LHW is actually 20 pounds, whereas MW to WW is 15. Silva weighed in against Bonnar at like 203 which he must be walking around at, Jones walks at 220 and GSP at 190ish, the size difference between GSP < Anderson and Anderson < Jones is marginal tbh.

    condit is 6'2 and the weight difference between Silva and GSP is much closer than silva and jones. GSP walks around at 200 pounds, silva walks around at 210, and jones walks around at 230. GSP just doesn't want to fight anyone that is bigger than him, but he took a fight with BJ penn that couldn't even make the 170 weight and had a huge size advantage.

  • @CaryChilton
    @CaryChilton11 жыл бұрын

    It is amazing he recovered from a full-on shin-to-whole-side-of-the-head-kick. The lumps and welts and redness are from short sharp elbow strikes from the guard. Obviously, never really hurt GSP or he wouldn't have stayed in top position taking them as long as he did. Still, GSP might want to reconsider that strategy in the future because it only takes one cut to the forehead to lose to a no-contest fight and would nonetheless END his win-streak.Bet your ass Spider was making that observation
