Humble in defeat, I get how people don't love Mike Bisping and how they don't enjoy his fights, but I really don't see how people could hate him as much as so many seem to.

I doubt people "hate" him. Fans will shout and type whatever they're feeling at the moment but I really doubt that they have a strong hate for Bisping.

His title run was very detrimental to the sport: he held up the MW division, which used to be amazing, for over a year, ducking top contenders. Hasn't fought a legitimate contender since Rockhold and he didn't convincingly beat a #13-ranked 46-year old Dan Henderson.

Many other fighters would have said "I can't see with my right eye, that's why he caught me".

yeah they never are 100 %, GSP had colon problem I mean.. Those guys train so hard to get at the best level and sometimes they over do it in training, that's part of the game.

It was a back and forth fight, and before getting caught with the hook I thought Bisping was going to win. GSP was tiring and his face was a bloody mask. But that's the beauty of MMA, one punch can change everything. Congrats to GSP, who looked great considering the long layoff and higher weight class.

People like to hate on GSP, but I'd like them to find another man who fought and soundly beat as many former champions, took years off, and then came back a weight class higher to take the belt from the champion.

@@jrowlandj a lot of people hate on em because his fights would mostly go to decision and rarely end in knockout so people said he couldn’t finish his fights. A lot of people seem to say he takes steroids but thats bs he’s a good fighter and he was pretty nice when I met em in Montreal

I'm glad GSP managed to pull it off. It'd be awful if the GOAT was remembered for a humiliating loss after gassing out in round 3 (which is completely natural after being out for 4 years and moving up a weight class). It's a shame Bisping didn't hold the belt longer but it was just about the best loss you could have: a competitive and entertaining fight against a legend where pretty much everyone acknowledges that you were on track to win and got unlucky. It's a real shame that he came back too soon and suffered a career ending injury against Gastelum.

Legend Bisping. Great fight and graciously accepting defeat. Amazing fight overall and a pleasure to watch! Thank you!

Igor Roki I think he is now. 4 years away comes back steps up a weight class and chokes out the champ. He's got joint most wins now and 3rd most title defences as well

One of the best transformations of a person i've seen after they got older. Bisping used to be such a you know what, in his younger days. Now i love his personality.

Absolutely love Bisping, possibly the most down to earth fighter in the UFC. He doesn't even seem to mind losing this fight to be honest. I'd like to see him retire now but fair play if he wants one more on home soil in London.

Perhaps, but to be fair to Garbandt, it's possible that TJ only won because we have rounds (I am referring to the end of round 1 here). No such thing could be said for GSP v Bisping.

Also cracked his ribcage while sparring a couple of weeks before the fight, he mentioned it on Joe Rogans podcast a while back.

That’s exactly what a fighter should act like, trash talk all you want, Michael is great no doubt, but he takes his lumps and goes on, good for him. Same can’t be said about a few of those guys

You all hate him but I respect this man after this. He went out like a g imo. This card was lit. Never would've thought all 3 would lose their titles, especially with the confidence they've had. But I'm glad I purchased this card. One of the best next to 214 of this year.

Bisping is UFC hall of fame material for sure... he's one of the greatest middleweights in history for sure.

Props to Mike, good fight. No shame in losing, especially to Georges, I kind of wish he would have called it and walked away after this one. Nothing left to prove.
