As a Mavs fan I used to hate the heat but truth is ... The organization is a staple of winning even when times are bad. The heat find players even if they can only contribute minimally. Teams that find different degrees of talent always eventually win . It's the leadership

Love that last point from UD about Bam. Been saying this for years. The hardest part for Bam is going to be learning about when to do what when your skill set and responsibility dictate you do everything at all times. That takes time to learn, hell look long it took Jimmy, dude is peaking in his 30s. Not everyone is Dwyane Wade.

UD is anything but "wasted money". Some people talking about how every team needs a UD in their locker room. I'm going to take it a step further, and say every organization no matter what they do (medical, financial, entertainment, etc.) needs someone like UD in their squad/team. The man is so motivational! He walks like he talks, he keeps it real, and he doesn't back down from nobody. Only true Heat fans know the intangibles UD brings to the table each and every day.
I'll be honest. That's the type of interview I want to see. Ask the questions that the fans want to know. Ask about the rumors and reports. And UD did a great job being passionate, articulate and clear in his responses. Literally every team needs a UD.
Please never let the term assalytics go away.

NBA fans don’t need to understand. We love UD. If your a heat fan you understand. The 15th man doesn’t play either way. Ud value surpasses players who play daily
UD is the the man!!! So glad to have him around still! He's a multi coach, psychologist, competitive friend, a middle man, and ya technically a player! Money well spent! Ya assalytics is officially part of the Heat vocabulary now! ❤ Go HEAT NATION!
That last game of the season where UD balled out contributed to how we're now playing. It was inspiring. Just not for the Atlanta game lol
The casuals who throw dirt on UD don’t understand the NBA. While most teams 15th guy is just a practice pawn with no influence on the roster, Miami’s last guy on the bench just so happens to have the value to hold their best player accountable. He was a great player, is a great vet and will be outstanding in whatever role he takes with the Heat following the playoffs.

Ud a real OG That boy loves this team and that alone creates great culture
Love UD, a class act.
After seeing that interview and him getting into it with Jimmy Butler, he seems to be a prime reason for their success in the playoffs. A player coach who can teach and keep players in line and accountable, especially superstars, definitely worth their pay.
LEAD US OG.
Great convo by Dan Lebatard and U. Haslem.
friggin awesome, all the way around. what a guy
UD in this interview really shining a light on why hes been there so long. Im not talking about the playing in practice and being in shape - he was talking like a coach. Hes a big reason for the culture that Miami has, and has basically been the liason of that culture between the players and the front office. I really hope the Heat retain him and put im on their staff, if thats what he wants to do.
There are way too few "assalytics" comments toward the top here. Where are the jokes? & props to Mike for bringing legitimate questions instead of being an assalytics-kissing fan.
This is a heart of a champion 🏆.Love you from the heat fans forever 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Love that guy what a beast.
The way UD walked off the screen was legendary 😂
Remember when Jimmy was trying to fight Coach Spo and Haslem stepped in to keep Jimmy in line… Where is Miami now? The Eastern Conference Finals. That’s one of the reasons why you need guys like Haslem and why they continue to make nice salaries. It’s money we’ll-spent.

True Vet.
I'm not just saying this but.... There will be a huge void to fill when this man retires. Anyone who has a family where a grandparent is the backbone of the family and passes away will understand. That grandparent is not bringing in money or raising kids on a full-time basis, but is an essential part of the functioning of that family. And often when that grandparent passes away, the family is in disarray and things can go one of two ways. Either they don't recover or someone else can step up to the plate. I'm interested to see what will be the case for the heat next season, but I'm enjoying UD on this team while he's still there!
to add to the bam question I feel when you're the top defender on your team I would imagine your legs are not there as much as when you take defensive possessions off
UD! 305 stand up!
UD IS BOSS Don't be surprised if the sixers offer UD the head coaching job
And if another team decides they're willing to take it to the streets, the players know UD is sitting on the bench and one UD is enough to instill confidence to a whole team in a twelve man fight.
He will be next COACH of Miami, when time comes, Tell the haters that.
And Clint Capela was the nba rebounding leader in 2021
We love you, UD!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's what's most of the NBA teams needs
