UConn has that niche for Houston and the final four. Adama Sanogo’s presence inside was once again pivotal in the 2nd half and their depth

@@mythra7174 We're the only D1 school to do it, I think a D2 school did it in the 80s or something. Last time was in 2014 (we also won the field hockey championship that year too)

Big boy from Uconn carrying every time he’s in the post.

Sanogo is playing like Emeka Okafor in the tournament. He will be playing in the NBA. He's got a strong body. Luol Deng kind of upside. Hawkins made a good adjustment from the last game and let the game come to him even though he was in foul trouble. He shot at a high clip on low volume which is efficiency. Newton played a great game. This team has Final Four written all over them. Arkansas will be a great test.

As a diehard Uconn fan Arkansas will be a much tougher opponent. They have players who can match UConn’s athleticism and length. They are also battle tested from battling tough teams in the SEC… However, having said that Uconn started both games very poorly yet still easily won both. If they can put a complete performance together it will be a long night for the Razorbacks. Arkansas also haven’t been ranked in the top 25 since January with some bad losses to LSU and losing to Vanderbilt by 13. I know everything is different during the tourney but Uconn has already shown how dominant they can be when they’re clicking on all cylinders: They beat Alabama by 15, Iowa St by 13, Marquette by 15, Creighton by 10 plus other quality wins. Huskies are capable of blowing the doors off anyone when they are on and there is a familiar feeling to this current run. Still a lot of work to do (clearly I’m biased) but don’t be surprised if Uconn is cutting down the nets for their 5th National Title in a couple weeks!!

I was thinking the same thing, rooting for St. Mary's players, then talking about how quick they got back down the floor...as they went down by 11 points 😂

UConn had to back off on defense in the 1st half. Refs were calling touch fouls

st marys is super small. usually how it goes in the tournament smaller teams usually get so far until they go against a taller team

I don’t think it was the height that hurt them. Looking at the highlights it looked more like transitional & three pointers that landed that killed St Marys.

This team is long and have guys with wingspans Gaels would have too shoot well from 3 .

I don't think Arkansas has the size to deal with Sanogo, I think they try to double him and make UCONN beat them with the 3 ball, obviously easier said than done especially since UCONN has good perimeter shooters, that's why they have been so successful with their 4 out offense
