Honestly, UConn women are playing with house money. They have no business going as far as they have with what they’ve lost this year. The freshmen need to calm down and exhale and realize they’ve already exceeded expectations. I thought Shade was tight all game and Edwards was sloppy. Ice Bready only had one cringe moment, so she was much better than last game. It’s just tough to play at this level with so few players. Only way they can win a game from here on out is just like this. And, as always, we have Paige and you don’t.

UCONN's lack of depth was really exposed. Paige Bueckers was very exhausted.

We need everyone contribute in scoring for USC game Monday. Ash not scoring at all this game, great defense by DUKE. The foul trouble is very concerning since juju is ref favourite 💁‍♀

Please OK Arnold, please do the team a favor and be the leader on court for them. You can do it, if uconn hopes to win ncaa's, they need you to be a leader on court.

Announcer: "You've got to be ready for that cut (Paige) because she (Muhl) is going to pass. She isn't going to shoot" I suggest Nika have at least one drive to shoot, to keep the other team "honest". Even a mid-range jumper would be good. Great defense, which Duke thought would be their strong point. Turns out Geno's teams are even better at it. Half-time score ... very low, but UConn leading well. The offense is scoring, but it's ugly at times. The Duke center is an odd bird. She's tall, but doesn't move well. Then things went cuckoo. If we can prevent that kind of thing, the team is very strong. Shoutout to Ice for coming in the game cold and doing well under pressure! Note: All the good highlights were when things ran normally. It wasn't odd epic long shots or desperation stuff. Normal.

Hope the women play better offensively next game.

Duke tries to replicate UConn with strong defense. But UConn D is even better. Magic sauce.

Paige is great but, she still favours that leg. Drive on her weakness. Conscious or not, there is something there for the offense to note.

KUDOS to the UCONN men. Game tied at 23 during the first half. UCONN goes on a 30-0 run. UNBELIEVABLE. Edwards reckless play and fouls almost cost UCONN the game.

The refs were rough on UConn in most of the game. But, there were also a lot of Duke fouls and turnovers. When the spotlight is on, the refs can't get away with too much nonsense. And these are supposedly the better refs of the NCAAW.

I hate to say it, but that's all she wrote for the women. They need to get offense from someone other than Paige and Aaliyah to go on, and I haven't seen it. When Aaliyah gets in foul trouble, it's all over. Kudos to Paige for playing the 4 on this undersized team and doing it well enough to get them this far.

Well, Duke was the best D team they'll face and it's unlikely that everyone other than Paige score only 17 and shoot 25%. Nika and Ashlyn scoted a combined.....3 pts. They avg 20 between them and USC ist exactly a juggernaut. You can score on them and JuJu is wildly inefficient Again tonight the media was lauding her 30 pt performance, but she shot only 8/28 and 2/11 from 3, that's terrible. She only shoots 39% and 32% from 3 on the year, and UConn's D is much better than anything she's faced. Their bigs are nothing special, so I think they have a real shot against USC, butnwill need to play better than tonight. Iowa is very beatableX but LSU's and SC'a size and depth are too much, they'd have to play their absolute best across the board and they haven't done that yet. The freshmen really showed their inexperience tonight and that can't happen again.

While what you say is true, by the end of the game UConn looked exhausted, worn out. This will be a factor on Monday.

I love Uconn but these poor players are exhausted, you almost lose a game entering the 4th qrt with a 20 pt lead? You can't inbound the ball...8 times? They've done well to get this far. Maybe start next year with a new training staff, too many injuries.

Muhl scored her usual 3pts. Edwards could not make a 2' shot, Brady just out right sucked. Don't go to the big dance when you're all left feet.

Edwards had difficulty for the specific reason that Duke got a very tall young woman to block and intimidate. Aaliyah outclassed her in every other way than height. Nika and Ash can shoot, but Duke's defense was good. I think Ice did well, particularly with the high-post offense. But yes, it was tough. Other opponents will present other defenses, some weaker than Duke's.
