I noticed you conveniently left off the assists record. Yesterday Caitlin had 15 assists in addition to her 29 points scored. She was an on the floor General making the most amazing passes anyone has ever seen. She was the General on the floor. The other super players were very good but not Generals making it happen. JuJu is very young so she's still learning who she is but Paige was out a year and she played well but she was not a general on the floor. She didn't control the opposition nor pick them apart like Caitlin did. Caitlin's team played a complete game, attack and defense both balanced and very effective. Caitlin was in control from the tip off. Caitlin was a team leader not just a scorer, a leader.

The woman game is slower and untidy to an extent. When caitlin plays she moves fast and is pristine and sharp and her style is the most entertaining and the closest to the mens game. I am black and would rather watch Caitlin games. The womans game is a little boring but when Caitlin, plays its exciting. My frie'nd everything is not about A and b. Its not about analytics. Caitlin put up those long ball from logo, its exciting...Steph did the same thing too and it propelled him to stardom... you are wrong bro .Caitlin has the long ball. people want to see the long ball, Citlin is the lady steph Curry, Bro , #fact# thats the fetish, the longball the , fast movement, her flashy passes. I would only go to paig game just for one reason: she is cute and attractive, but thats it. Citlin game is more exciting and adrenaling driven. stop being a hater. The women game is still not that exciting. but when caitlin takes the court it is. Also she was out with an injury for a season, which is the season Clark started getting the shine. But before her injury Beckers (sp) was the one everyone was talking about. It was made into a race thing when Iowa played LSU for the championship last year. They tried to make LSU city girls, because of the trash talk that went on. Until, it was highlighted that Clark was a serious trash talker herself and there were a series of highlights to prove it. Clark is entertaining and exciting, which brings money. She may not be the best player. But, the hype is bringing in dollars. So, media will continue to hype her, because it increases profits. It's not about who is better. It's about players that bring eye balls and increase ticket sales and advertising dollars. If race baiting gets tickets sold and revenue up, they will sprinkle that in too.

No doubt Paige was hurt by injuries. The difference between LSU and Iowa is that one team had 10+ players ejected for a bench clearing brawl and one didn't. One team had a confrontation with an opposing coach after the UCLA game and one didn't. One team had a player leave mid-season and another quit for 3 weeks and one didn't. I think the difference are more behavior than city vs. rural. You don't see city teams like UCLA or USC acting like that.

Maybe you forgot to look at the fact that Caitlin leads the nation in assists as well as scoring and she is one of the top rebounders on the team averaging around 7 per game. Yes, Caitlin's 3 pt shooting percentage is slightly below Paige's, but that is probably because Caitlin has the green light to shoot from 10 - 15 feet beyond the 3 pt line. Plus the fact that Caitlin is not on a team with other 4 and 5 star players (which is the case for Paige), she draws a lot more attention from the other team and is often double and triple teamed, and yet she is still able to get her shots off and make them at a reasonable percentage. So yeah, flip the two players and I bet you that Geno would give Caitlin the green light to shoot just as much as she is shooting now, and her numbers would probably be even more impressive. So maybe YOU should actually start watching some women's basketball, instead of listening to the haters.

I'm sure that is certainly the way to build support for women's sports. Personally, I think it's great that women's basketball has so many great players right now, Paige and Caitlin among them. It just so happens that Caitlin is doing things that no one else is (logo 3's, great assists, ect.) and that is bringing even more eyes and bodies to watch the games than ever before. Honesty if Paige had never gotten hurt she would be the it girl. Clark represents rural America and that represents the supremacy doctrine on which this country was built. Yep nothing will be respected or recognized if its too black. Clark extra pump up is because of Angel Reese you can't see me but I bet you felt me when I got there backlash for producing white girl tears. And LSU winning that championship messed up whatever plans the power structure had in mind include political plans they had in store. To note LSU has been duly crucified for not laying down and letting her run off with the trouphy you know not waiting their turn so to speak. Instead of promoting the defending champions this year or promoting these awesome freshmen break out players of course too many of them were black to grow the game they flipped the entire narrative to Catlin Clark under the guise of the scoring record. Then recently they rushed to loaded up her NIL coffers so she can have a higher valuation than Reese making her number one in WCBB. Then they made sure Reese didn't make the all American first team despite her numbers. But the final nail in the coffin is how they arranged the bracket for the tournament to make sure that two predominantly Black teams don't make the final four and for dam sure don't wind up in the championship game. Hope it doesn't back fire that might cause the game yo never be played. Even if last year championship game teams get to the elite 8 they figure they'll get their rematch game make their money and cheat if they have to to get Clark to the championship round to make their money. They figure lightening might strike twice but the South Carolina team won't get caught short this year so this the best they can set up if Clark can't get a title. People will swear up and down that this kinda of positioning and plotting doesn't go on in the form of market manipulation but we all know better the gaslighting is played out. They bout to change the face and ratio of the WNBA league too to in order to bring in investment dollars and corporate sponsorship. 70% black is not getting no funding. The only thing white investors have ever invested in that was 70% or more black was the slave plantation. We live in a society who has always had depraved indifference towards anything blacks thats not changing until this empire falls. Im not a fan of CC only seen her play once last year's team game. I immediately knew what she represented when they nearly roped up Reese and assassinated her character. I don't watch Clark play and don't get on platforms trashing anything about her I just like a different style of the game. But it's clear to see what is happening snd to me it's just the backlash norm. That's how power works round here and those powerless can't do much about it.

Go back to her freshman year and Geno had to push her early on to shoot whenever she is open. There are a few times when Paige will just take over a game. That double OT game her freshman year, she just went into PAIGE! mode and carried her team to the win. There is one ability that CC absolutely ranks higher than PB and that is AVAIL-ability. If I'm not mistaken, CC has never missed a start in 4 years. But girl from Iowa or girl from Minnesota, there has always been a friendly rivalry between those two states. In fairness, I am not from Iowa but I'm a CC and Paige fan. I have been following both of them from their freshmen year. I've been watching college basketball from Sue Bird's era in college. She is my favorite women's player. Mind you, I also play, and my fave position is PG, because I like to make plays and take command of the floor. I had a good medium range and penetration, but I enjoy a good assist better. Paige and Caitlyn both played well as soon as they started. I am in awe of CC's range and her court vision. I enjoy Paige's play, which is making her teammates better. Paige's medium range is deadly. They both see the play before it happens. I don't agree with the black or white thing. That's politics, I have a problem on "your image" that you are pointing to. I am Asian and not bothered if you're black or white. My favorite all time is Magic, he is black and before him was Oscar Robertson and Pete Marivich and during Magic's time was John Stockton and after was "white chocolate." All of them have one thing in common, they are playmakers. Both of these ladies are great! If Paige didn't get hurt and was not out for 2 seasons, she would have been head-to-head with CC, personally I think she would have the edge. But that is how it is. They both have done so much for women's basketball. Both are generational players. Let's tip our hats off to both of them. Correction, Paige is not the one who guards the best player of the other team, it's Nika (another of my faves). I agree with you, Paige is much more consistent. You forgot to mention that CC leads in assist as well. Also, it was Sab Ionescu and HVL that were close to Kobe and his daughter. He spoke with Hailey and Sab about their mentality and preparation.

@@henley7012 - double teamed? Um, the entire defensive scheme is all geared towards stopping Paige. Because Paige is such an elite mid-range scorer, the defense she faces is multi layered. In the last game against Syracuse at the end, she was defended tightly for most of the clock until KK handed off the ball to her. The defender crowded her at the 3 point line, so she stuttered towards the middle/top of the key. THREE people were sliding right in front of her. She threw a perfect pass to kK who rattled in the dagger three. She made on step at the middle, waited until the outside (to her left) react towards her before she made the pass. Perfect.

That will change if she keeps getting 40-45% of the points. But she has I think I saw 3 other players who can hit 3's or 2's on a regular basis. That may be why they couldn't focus on Paige like they wanted to. Caitlin's team didn't give her much support in her game. For some reason only Caitlin was a dependable scorer...the others missed far more than they sank. If they have another bad game with Colorado they will lose. Caitlin cannot carry the team on her own and it felt like she did in this game..if they don't step up and help her Iowa will be done.

You're a little over the top on the white things, it's also the over woke media trying to hyoe women's ball and there are 2 other major factors. First, CC jacks up shots from the logo which we've never seen women do before. It shouldn't matter because she misses almost all of them and it's still only 3, but it's perceived as another barrier broken...." see...women can do it too!". Secondly, there's a scoring record chase and that a super easy way for lazy journalists to draw in new casual or non-fans. As to the stats, look up PPP, PEP, win shares, total O and total D ratings and Paige detroys CC in everything that isn't pure volume based, i.e., measuring quality and not just quantity, especially on D. People also forget Paige is coming off a big injury and didnt play for 584 days, had THE hardest schedule in the NCAA, and had to CHANGE positions( playing the 4 on D) because of UConn's injuries. She's got THE best mid range game ever, is a better 3 pt shooter than CC, is maybe the best finsher at the cup in the game, is the best leader, is an elite defender, and has more dawg and clutch gene than anyone since DT. It's not close, CC is good but Paige has the best skill set of any female player ever and is in very excluive company w/r/t intangibles ( which is actually a genunie weakness for Clark). If she stays healthy, she will challenge DT for 🐐and IMHO, already is the most talented female player ever. 🐐status is as much a function of accomplishments ( particularly titles) as it is talent, but she's well on her way. CC is not, end of story.

If it were just Fox news or local stations down south, ok, maybe, but it's not. You've got Stephen A. Ice Cube, all sorts of black media types joining in, so there's got to be more to it. To me it feels more like pushing women, and the shame of it is the long 3 pointers (that she almost always misses) are what they point to as being so ground breaking for women. The irony is that Paige's whole game is what's so groundbreaking, here's a female who plays like a dude, she's completely unique and should be the perfect example . As a freshman, Paige she WAS getting all the attention and all of her teammates who got any court time except Nika were black. Paige has been much more vocal about her faith since her injuries and that hasn't helped with the media either. Either way, I hope people wake up and realize what they're seeing. I'm glad Geno spoke up. Even the Syracuse coach came out and said Paige was top 3 to ever walk through the doors at UConn and she hasn't yet won a title, so that tells me she thinks Paige is right at the top, but you can't say that when Bird, Stewie, Maya and DT have multiple rings.

Second thing is Paige wouldn't average 40 pts if she played for Iowa. Analytics don't work that way. Paige benefits from being on a team full of 5 & 4 star recruits you can't sag off of. Giving her more open looks. Caitlin plays with 2 & 3 star recruits. Third is Geno, and you ignore the biggest stat that separates Caitlin from everyone else. Assist! She is more than a deep threat. Caitlin is a floor general doing more with less. Fourth, let's be honest before last year tourny, nobody outside of Iowa and hard-core basketball fans knew who Caitlin was. The pressure and scrutiny her (and I would add Angel Reese) had heaped on them would crush most players. If Paige was better than Caitlin, she would have been projected higher in the Draft than Clark.

There is literally nothing that stands out about her game other than the media lifting her up as the greatest player ever, which is not true. But I get it, as I stated in the video. The Jermey Lin analogy was a good point. Jeremy Lin wasn't doing anything Kobe Bryant, Lebron, or any of the top players weren't doing, but the media lifted him up because he was Asian. If Jermey Lins' name was Jermey Jackson, nobody would even remember him or at least not the casual fans. Either that's true or not true. I'm not saying it's wrong what they are doing with Caitlin. All the advanced analytics say that Paige is the best in every category, so now MATH is wrong. Look, I don't have a dog in the fight. Clearly you do. So now we see clearly how biasness effects society. I would hate to be on trial with you on the jury. I'd be done for.

@@DarkBlackMagic Advanced analytics do not have Paige as the best player lol. She has lower Win Shares, a lower PER, and a lower BPM. All of these stats are strictly impact statistics. How about you do some research before you just blindly quote someone else. Dude, Caitlin is straight up getting face guarded full court and doubled at half consistently. It's not just shot creation that makes the difference here (and yes, I admit that Paige is a superior shot creator, as well as finisher and mid range shooter). You somehow claimed that Paige is a better shooter solely due to efficiency. Do you understand what volume is? Shooting 38% from 3 on 14 freaking attempts a game that are mostly 30 foot step backs is FAR more impressive than shooting 42% on 5 attempts of mostly open catch and shoot 3s (again, I literally watch both religiously). And you wanna know what the funny thing is? One of the best metrics for comparing shooters happens to be one of the more basic percentages, FTs. There's no difference in play style, or difference in the type of shot they're taking, just pure basketball ability shooting wise. And guess what? Caitlin has a better FT%. Please explain how the "clear" better shooter shoots 2% worse on the same shot? This doesn't even take into account Caitlins clearly superior playmaking abilities (yes, I'm aware that Paige is also an amazing playmaker, and that she's GROSSLY underrated in that regard). I genuinely can't understand how you could come out of this player comparison saying that Paige is not only better, but SIGNIFICANTLY so.

Paige has a 28% usage rate, which is normal from a star player playing a team sport. In layman's terms, Caitlin is dominating the ball like no other, so of course, her stats are going to be inflated. Paige given the same usage rate, would average 40 points per game with around 11 assists. You have to know what you're looking at.

Paige is great but Caitlin is over 70% of her teams offense. She has carried that team on her back for 4 years! Name a teammate of hers who will be a pro and then compare that to UConn. Caitlin, by the way, leads her team in scoring, assists, rebounds and steals. Paige is 3rd on her team in rebounds and second in assists. And Caitlin is changing the game like Curry with her logo 3’s. It’s not even close. When her teammates score it’s after she gives them the ball in position for a layup. She is the greatest female player of all time. Shaq agrees among many others. Paige was hyped after high school; Caitlin is just being recognized for shattering all the records. And as Magic said after her 40 point triple-double: no one has done that. Not Michael, Bird or Magic. And she’s done it more than once. You have to go back to Wilt in the 60’s to get there. If you are number 1 in scoring all time and number 3 in assists all time while leading your team in rebounds and steals, it ain’t hype in any universe.

UConn is favored by almost 10 points vs. Iowa. If Caitlin traded places with Bueckers, the spread would be about the same. I think it goes both ways. Clark has been called a pretty little white girl in the media. She's a 6 foot point guard, which is well above the average PG size, and pretty is a dismissive comment that I will with polite intent say isn't true. Add in off the mark comments, like from former WNBA star Swoopes, and there is a clear backlash against Clark.

Just look at tournament play so far this year. Paige is putting up 28/9/5 with 3 blocks and 3 steals with just 1.6 turnovers per game.
