Good tips. I was also thrown off the first time with the drop down ceiling anchor piece. Would also help to show how the AP slides in and is secured. Ubiquiti is 2x to 3x less than Cisco for a comparable product, but without live customer service. Cisco AP’s cost 400 to 1200 each, but you can contact a live engineer if necessary. Also Cisco charges an annual software fee. This is why the network geeks like UniFi products.

Is "friction" the only thing that holds the Access Point in place in the tube? Or is there something more holding it? Said another way: when you want to remove the Access Point from the mount...do you just yank on it? Is there a risk of it becoming loose eventually?

you missed it. I did not use the backing plate above the ceiling. I used screws and anchors (longer than those supplied) to hold the mount in the ceiling (plaster) and the magnetic cover plate hides them

The screws and anchors hold the mount in place, but what holds the actual Access Point in place? Am I missing a part where the AP is screwed into the mount?@@ejcheck
