    @@er1cmaurer And probably the most famous come back in all of arm wrestling. There's still guys today who repeat that line when they're in a war. Travis had a bunch of famous matches where he said some memorable quotes that are still used today. "Tell me I'm the greatest" was another one.

    You can learn a lot from Travis. The position that he was in to lose the match holding his arm that way using back pressure then gaining the hand control once Richard stood up and let him use that side pressure it's amazing Travis is my favorite armrest would besides John brzenk

    btw it was super impressive to see Travis peel back Rich's hand like that in the 2nd round before it went to straps (not to mention how impressive it was to actually WIN in the straps). Especially when he was 1 inch away from losing !

    Lupkes elbow went like 3 inches off the mat. As an arm wrestling referee, how can you miss that? Elbow foul is like the #1 violation to be looking for once the match has been set. Anyway, Bagent is a beast. Telling Lupkes to stand up during the match so that he could win, legend.

    yes it will. as you can see clearly in this video it makes all the difference. it adds a lot more leverage to your arm when you lift your arm off the pad. thats why its not allowed.

    I only just started watching arm wrestling and I don't know much about the sport but at 2:50 Lupkes lifted his elbow up and put all his weight into it for the win. Are you allowed to do that and if not what are the two referees for on both sides?

    the only time it is considered a pin is if, 1 - your hand or wrist touches the pad, 2 - your hand goes below the pad, meaning your knuckles overlap the pad.

    Have to give props to Rich though.. in 2007 ROTN (when Travis beat rich), the question was "Can Rich stop Travis' hit?", now the game has turned in Rich's favour and the question became 'Can Travis stop Rich's hit?". It shows that Rich has gotten even more explosive off the go through hard training (not to mention his age and recent injuries that he went through).

    having to own a satellite dish to see it. Martial Arts could have it's own CHANNEL with all the forms and tournaments that are out there but you get the "fluff" on ESPN because the market isn't supportive. When I lived in other countries I could see Savate, Eskrima-Arnis, all kinds of stuff. But when i got back to the U.S. it's breaking contests. Not to say those people aren't talented, i just feel like much more is left to be appreciated that I would MUCH rather see than what they show.
