Such an underrated song, this is a masterpiece! The song and the video go perfect with each other... So moving and beautiful. I remember when this song came out. I was like 15 and had just moved to a different school, in a different city, with a different people, in a different country. I was going through stress, anxiety, fear, and listening to the chorus always give me some hope that things will get better and I will overcome somehow. This song was on the radio this morning as I go to work. This is my fave song when it was released. I love the animation of the video too. 14 years later, looking back through all my life experiences this song hits to the core and I’m bawling. Past the awesome beat, I found the deeper meaning of the song. Such an excellent portrayal of traversing through life’s struggles and the beauty despite the messy, ugliest parts. Bruised and broken by experiences but this song continuously helps me heal. I hope anyone who reads this will eventually find their own path to healing.

Also, i've seen the world falling apart in this days, i've tasted the human nature, and sometimes is very dark, but however, more than that, i've see a spark of hope when it seems everything is lost. We must fight for whatever we think it's fair, for whatever we want to get, or to make real our dreams. We must fall first to learn how to climb. But most importantly, we must found the things what complete us. As the Tramp found food, the Girl found peace, the little girl found her dog, and the women and the boy found mutually, we must found the people, everything which makes our life beautiful. :D

40 years of great music also helps.

I was going through some dark times when I listened to this song every day. My family and I had recently immigrated to the US and we ended up homeless for a year during high school because of domestic violence. This song and video gave me strength.

Brings back good ol' times. This song and the video have a special place in my memories. I remember when I discovered this on MTV years ago. Every time they would play it, I'd always go watch it. It has this distinct, nostalgic feeling that makes you kinda teary. I love it!
