Wow I'm happy you covered Udupi thali.All the curries are my favourite. Just Fyi,in Mangalore the payasam is mostly made with moong dal, coconut milk,sabudana,sugar/jaggery, Cardamom & ghee only for tadka of kaju+kishmish.I don't know why the lady said made in Ghee LOL 😆

For daliya payasam usually we dont put tadka of kaju kishmis.. Only cardamom and ghee is used.. She was right.

In Gujarat you also find such green eggplants in the winter. We use them specifically to make surati undhiyu.
So amazing atmosphere nice good heathy food
