American troops in the Breite Str. Ot the German town Lemgo. The Burgermeister of Lemgo, Wilhelm Gräfer, was executed by the Nazis, after he tried to surrender the town to the Americans. The building on the left is still there today. Its called the "Hexenbürgermeisterhaus"
