U.S. Military Bayonets Part 2

Another video in the U.S. military bayonet series at The Gun Barracks. This short video offers information on the M4 bayonet for the M1 Carbine. Textual information in the video on the M4 bayonet is gathered and summarized from many documentary sources found on the web about the M1 Carbine and the M4 bayonet

Nice Accurate vid on the U.S, M4 Bayonet. All U.S. post war made M4's had the wider crossguard. Camillus, Imperial, Turner, Conetta & Bren Dan

Thanks for your approving comments. It makes the time and research for making these videos worthwhile. Another observation I made, but didn't mention in the video, the tang is very pitted and to me, that is a sure sign of a rusted tang from water seepage through a leather handle. The rusted tang was probably sand blasted, another sign of a rebuild.

Usually when I'm digging in my safe, the thing that I am looking for always seems to be in the very back after digging all the stuff out. It's like a universal law.

@@thegunbarracks6064 That law certainly applies hereabouts.
