What UN talked about. Barbecue is not the main problem of Haiti. What we want UN to do give us the names of everyone in Haiti contributing to the assassination of Jovenel and financing the gangs in the country. Also we want UN to let the Haitian people chose their government. Leaders they trust and and are willing to cooperate with to resolve all the problems they are going through. Stop choosing governments for Haiti. For Barbecue we will take care of him once you remove the actual government who supported him anyhow.

I'm Haitian. I know the name sounds funny. But part of the reason he is called that is because he is known to burn his victims alive or dead. The amount of terror we're living in every day is dire. We're like on house arrest. The whole country came to a halt because he is holding the fuel reserves hostage. I hope the world does not give up on us. We're human beings who just want to live in peace in our country.

No one cares when it's black people killing each other and ruining their country. I heard them talking about imposing sanctions but can't help but wonder to myself whether the gang members actually knows how the sanctions work in the first place. This is not like a country that's so developed to the extent that these thugs are heavily equipped with modern weapons. Just send some forces on the ground to contain the situation. But that's not possible since all weapons are only headed to Ukraine.

The PM and his government is not doing what they supposed to do, to cop with the current situation. Miss management of the PM to handle the situation. The problem of haiti is not the problem of gangs, it's rather of high political leaders supplying weapons and ammunitions to the gangs.

This behavior cannot be corrected without occupation and the establishment of law and order. This is not an orderly and civil society. Occupiers will likely be criticized for a variety of reasons. When the occupiers depart, and they will depart, the violence and death will begin again. How do I know this? I was once part of a force sent to Haiti to help stabilize their national government and reduce homicides. The U.S. intervention in Mogadishu under similar circumstances resulted in a great number of dead, with casualties on both sides of the conflict. Then U.S. forces quietly returned home while Mogadishu continued to seethe in violence and death. We cannot permanently fix Haiti’s unbridled mayhem anymore than we can curb homicides in major North American cities. When violence is a cultural norm and remains acceptable within a society, violence will flourish. With Haiti it is to the point of pandemonium. Haiti, it appears, no longer has a functioning government to restore some semblance of order. Now it is gang law, which is no more than the survival of the strongest, with the rest of the population existing only to be savaged at will. If this is to be addressed the U.N. should undertake a humanitarian mission. Occupation is an expensive drain on any single sovereign nation, and there will be no return on the money spent. The U.N. should consider stepping up to restore order and provide the necessary aid. But be forewarned - the kid gloves should be left at home. This is a dysfunctional country ruled by a culture of violence. Conditions may have to stabilize before help can be made available. It is doubtful anyone will forcibly invade Haiti to extend a helping hand.
