My grandfather passed away a few years ago but he spent 30 years traveling to Haiti feeding children and building churches. It would break his heart if he could see how bad it is now. He truly loved Haiti and its people. I grew up with Haitians my whole life. They would stay with my grandfather in Cleveland, Tennessee so the place was always filled with laughter and good food.

@@silentmajority8365 A failed state requires specific criteria that Haiti only recently met.
My dad passed away three years next month, he spent decades and hundreds of thousands of dollars through donations building churches and homes for the Haitian people, feeding thousands as well as housing many Haitians in our homes since I was a teenager. Of his 40+ trips to the beautiful nation of Haiti, with me accompanying him almost a dozen times, his love for the people there grew exponentially! I miss my friends living there deeply. Although I miss him dearly, there’s a part of me that’s glad he hasn’t had to witness this heartbreaking demise of wonderful, loving and generous people. 🇭🇹

Haiti was NOT ALWAYS like this. Watch the youtube video "Introduction To Haiti, 1950s" If you're wondering why Haiti is like this now, you should read about it's history, including how it was forced to pay France, (then later the US) billions of dollars for rebelling and winning their freedom from slavery in 1804. This gigantic insane debt crippled the Haitian economy from the start, and they finished the payments in 1947. These payments included interest and enriched American companies and economy such as citibank. Imagine making your slaves pay for escaping slavery. Then when they work their way out of the debt, you come back and keep trying to control them. You should then ask yourself why does the US and other European nations have a 'stake' in Haiti? Why when Haitians elect their leaders, somehow the democratically elected and well loved leaders end up assassinated by weapons supplied by the US government. These people are now trying to remove PUPPETS. Haiti was the first and only black country to fully rebel against Europeans and WIN. I'm sure they will be able to finally kick out the Europeans and regain their status. Proper leaders will emerge!

Chaos and instability in the western hemisphere should be the number one concern for the US foreign policy establishment. Whenever happens in Ukraine and Israel is of no consequence for the average American because we are separated by ocean. The same cannot be said about Haiti or Venezuela

Haiti has not recovered since they defeated the French who wanted to enslave them. And before France and US investors made Haiti pay them "reparations" over 122 years...FOR REFUSING TO BE ENSLAVED. GET IT!!!

@@benjamintaylor4402 China was as poorer than Haiti more than a century ago. China was also mistreated by outsiders but they did just whine the whole time. They built there country. Haiti are real ones. That is why this is happening. The world needs to leave them alone and let haitians be real. Let the natural course run and let the gangs take over. If you don't like it, its because you're not real one like haitians.
