Tyrion the Brave releases the Dragons | Game of Thrones

Фильм және анимация

There is a theory which says that Tyrion was a Targaryen. Tywin was Hand of King of Aerys II Targaryen, otherwise known as The Mad King. There are a couple of confirmed points regarding Aerys’ relationship with Tywin’s wife, Joanna. Barristan Selmy tells Daenerys that the King was said to be infatuated with her. Tywin says Tyrion isn't his son, multiple times.
The fact that Tyrion was able to talk down both dragons, Rhaegal and Viserion, from turning him into a pile of ash, could be the very proof that we've been looking for that this Lannister actually has Targaryen blood running through his veins. The way he spoke to the dragons was so calming, almost like a lullaby or as if he were telling them a bedtime story. He told the dragons that he asked for one of them as a pet on the day of his name day and cried himself to sleep when he was told that they no longer existed.

His acting is on another level. He wasn't telling the story to calm the dragons , he was telling the story to calm himself . Lowering his own stress and anxiety so the dragons would not see him as a threat bc they could sense that in him.

Very true, I couldn't agree more. The only thing he had as a weapon was a torch. But than again maybe they could sense he was afraid of them. And they just took pity on him. Or maybe they could smell they're mother on him. But I think it's because they could sence he wasn't afraid of them. And after he freed them from they're chains, is when they realized he was a friend and not a threat.

I think this is the most beautiful scene in the entire show. Two great, majestic creatures of untold mystery and myth, two INTELLIGENT creatures readily listening to and feeling sympathy for a man brave enough to speak to them as equals, with the reverence these incredible creatures truly deserve and returning the same respect he approached them with. And then they kill off these two brilliant boys so unceremoniously, in manners that are frankly almost an affront to them as characters. The only speck of the intelligence of dragons we see after this is Drogon's anger and grief over the conflict melting the throne and leaving John unscathed- and I'm gonna be honest, maybe this would have hit a little harder if they'd done more respect to the dragons than "they are blissfully unaware of their one weakness and totally unable to dodge projectiles despite numerous insane feats of agility". Like, I'm sorry- if the archers didn't take out BABY Drogon during his first Dracarys, Scorpions ain't shit.

That is an interesting spin on the whole story with Tywin telling Tyrion that he's not his son after Tyrion just put an arrow into him. Tyrion had to be confused, at least, by all the times that Tywin said the opposite. The man died either trying to console himself with a lie, or finally decided to be honest with his last breath. What a dichotomy. And the real issue is that he had no idea if Tyrion was actually his son or not. Seems the entire kingdom was full of bastards who thought they were someones' son when they weren't. What would Joffery have done if he had known that he was Jamies' son.

Superbly suspenseful scene!!! One of the very best scenes of the entire series, so nerve-wracking and at the same time so much emotion poured out in three minutes that we ALL wind up wiping the sweat off our brows collectively at the end of it. 😅

My issue with this scene was that when Dany locked them up, they were the size of a small donkey, if that. Here they have tripled in size, but the collars are now huge too. Who was replacing the collars? They were not happy being locked up, so was Dany going in and switching the collars? Why did it seem as if she had not visited them, when she finally went down in a later season, and they were highly aggressive towards her? So aggressive that Dany ran away in fear.

Dragons eat almost constantly; starve them a day of two so they won't refuse the meal, then feed them a drugged pig or something. As they sleep off the food-coma, install new collars. BTW, that much steel would weigh in excess of 800 pounds, the pin alone a solid 15! Pulling the pin oh-so-smoothly would not have been possible: he would have to drive the pin, like punching out a rivet! The Blacksmith who forged these shackles would have made certain that no casual tug of a slender pin could free Real Live Dragons. Then again, it was one of the most moving scenes in the entire series.

Targaryens ran to twins. Targaryens ran to incest. Joffrey was mad In much the same way as the Mad King, as well as stupid. Tyrion was much smarter than the twins, let alone his nephews and niece. There were indications that Tywin’s liege lord had opportunities as well as the inclination. He was also John Snow’s sire.
