Narcissists tend to attract a certain crowd who are blind to this trait, so it´s natural for them not to see it. Cersei didn't realize how powerful a true friend is in terms of negotiations. She realized it too late. Power is nothing. A true friend is everything.

This was one of the most powerful iconic moments in the show... She lost a friend and He lost the love of his life .... The worst move Cercei could have done.. . The Wrath that Followed was PRESSURE ❤

Danny wasn't mad, she was willing to make peace, but Cersei chose violence even when she knew she didn't have the power

Perceiving yourself to be unloved and unwanted from the moment you were born is enough to drive anyone insane, maybe not clinically insane but insanely empty, insanely sad, insanely alone.
