Most players are adding a extra step on the "gather", circumventing the rules. This is a thing for a long time now, LeBron was one of the first who used the "crab drible" and the NBA turn a blind eye for it, now everybody travels, set moving screens and so on, etc.. the level of play is pathetic

He really after that $500K, made his team beat Giannis, Dame, and the Bucks, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and the Celtics. Let’s see how he does in the final round.

I wish I could understand the travel rule in the NBA. From the layman's perspective, it looks like two dribbles and 8-9 steps and shuffles of the feet.

You can take as many steps as you want between dribles, till your palm doesnt goes over under the half-point of the ball, because thats a carry. The problem is that Haliburton carried at 0:27 that is for sure 100% and i think he did it again at 0:28 aswell but it was rather a borderline case so i can accept referees cant catch it in live. But they should have called the first one. And even if they were not sure everybody seemed it was something weird about it so for that only reason they should have blown the whistle

He was still dribbling when he took all those tap steps. That's allowed as long as you don't CARRY the ball...which he did.

Walking is insane. I know it has been around in the NBA for a while but how did traveling/walking become so normal in the league.
