Spooky Jim Christmas I don't think those exact lyrics are ever reused but it's similar to ideas found in many other songs, about not being able to sleep, writing music to have a reason to live, etc.

He’s using it in two different ways actually. “It happens to be free” he’s referring to the answer to life, likely being God, and saying that it’s free, as in costs nothing to obtain.

I don't think they did, considering this song isnt really sold out material. At this point of time, his delivery, is rapping, and his confidence aren't what they are at this time. Perhaps they thought he'd make a small fame for himself, maybe. He worked hard, though, and got there eventually

The Bible says when we are weak God is strong! His strength is perfected in our weakness!! ! I love Tyler a d 21 pilots...!their lyrics are heart wrenching and real but it’s God in them that truly rips my heart out!! only Jesus truly saves!

If you twist the part of the song where he sings "he is strong and I'll live another day" to our part looking in, you could say that that's pretty much what the clique is all about. Tyler and Josh are strong enough to play their songs for all of us. They are strong enough to share with us their insecurities and their doubts. They're strong enough to live on. I know "He is strong" is about God and his faith to Tyler, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that to me and to my life, I'd say "He" refers to Tyler and Josh. "He is strong and I'll live another day...."

A year has passed now, and I can listen to this and remember how much shit it helped me get through when I was at my worst. I often feel a need to listen to these at night, in the dark alone. These songs chase away my dark thoughts just because he's reused the old lyrics from when he was at his worst. He's taken things from when he was at rock bottom and transformed them into something that took him to the top of the charts. That's why they chase my thoughts away. They show me strength and that you can take what little you had left of you at rock bottom and puzzle them together to make something that changes your life.

People are saying that no one saved Tyler, his music , saved him. Well not really his music, but the people who listen to it. The people who can connect, the people who's lives were saved by him, and I feel that saving people saved you 💗

i thought i knew what obsession was when i tasted chocolate, turns out the way i feel about twenty one pilots is way more that. I'm addicted to the way tyler sees the world. i love his perspective on life. he makes you see the world differently. he finds a way to get to your emotions. i love it though (: he relates to most of his fans and his fans relate to him. he isn't like every other newer artist nowadays where drinking, sex, money, partying, drugs, relationships (that don't last very long), and affairs are the most important things to sing about. tyler should receiver recognition for his most emotional songs. I'm not saying that his new songs are bad, i honestly love them no matter what anyone says, im just trying to say that people judge them for ride, stressed out, etc. but they haven't heard the real them (i just realized this sound really mean but I'm not saying they're fake in their new songs) and what they've been through. they don't know why we idolize twenty one pilots so much, they just think its because everyone else is doing it or only because of their new songs. but they don't know their history. I've been so stressed out this whole school year because of my grades, people talking behind my back, fake friends, etc. but tyler's oldest or unreleased songs even before josh always help me feel that everything will get better soon and to pray to God. honestly i don't feel like anyone took the time to read this or will even reply/like this comment, but i just wanted to put this out there. It break my heart a lot that in all tyler's old songs he put something like ''save me'' and i understand this feeling a lot.

listening to his old music makes me so sad. it makes me wonder if he ever thought he’d be where he is today-touring the world with so many loving fans with his best friend, award winning albums, married and with two kids. i wish young tyler knew

This is going to be buried among the comments. But,, God, is this song beautiful. Really, I remember coming to this song when I was close to harming myself. This song always helped me and was actually a major part in me stopping self harm. I don’t know what it is. But it just made me realize that I’m not alone. I’m about a month clean from sh and I’m extremely proud of myself ^^ But always remember your not alone, frens :) if it’s you at 3am and your laying there, crying or your sitting on your bed, close to harming just like I was. Know your not alone. I love you. A lot of people love you. You don’t haft to go though this alone, I promise. Stay alive. It’s worth it. ||-//

my stomach just hurts from listening to this.. all these feels, because on the one side i can relate so much to "No Phun intended" and on the other side i can't believe that Tyler has to went through this, he didn't deserved it, and i'm more than glad that he made it through this and is alive today. thanks Tyler not just for kept fighting, but also for sharing your music with us so you save so many other lives |-/

it does get better. it does. it does. I remember the months and months I would sit in my basement alone, tears running down my face listening to Tyler’s music. I’m living proof you can get through it. You can do it. Things DO get better. I swear on it. Try to look at the good things in life. The little things. It. Gets. Better.

I came back to this song after Trench came out and Tyler has come so far in his music career it's really inspiring

Wow I've never heard this song before. I love that he uses the same verse in Ode to Sleep just with a different beat. This is so beautiful.

I was raised Christian, so I understand how much he relied on god, and personally, I don't believe in Christianity but this still hits me. We all hold on to something and I l9ve how everyone can take their own personal meaning of this song.

Truly such an underrated song. Love this song so much

he repeats these lyrics in two different songs. okay but every time i hear him reusing lyrics in different pieces, it feels so strange but i get really happy for some reason.

I don’t understand how much courage he must have had to share these pain filled deep and emotional songs with his family and then perform them for other people, like in this recording.

Yeah, I believe it was intended to sound low quality in recording. I like that, it makes it more interesting and yeah like someone else said makes it more special.

Ode to yesterday

the rawness of his voice when he said ''i'll live another day'' makes me wants to cry.

This is my favourite Tyler Joseph song. I am struggling with anxiety and depression but this helps temporarily. There’s something about this man that helps

i just spent 2 hours singing songs to one of my friends and i sung like 3 songs off npi i was gonna do this one but they had to go to sleep. also, its past midnight for both of us

I am trying so hard not to imagine Tyler writing and singing and feeling these lyrics. I don't know if I would survive watching him playing this live.

this song just... brings the tears out of your face. and actually, the saddest songs BEFORE neon gravestones were his oldest songs. i stand beside my point, and i'm not moving.

There just something about No Phun Intended that I would listen to it when I’m sad. And this song just has something to it, it’s a song that you’ll never get tired of, the song that stays with you. It’s just hard to explain
