He reminded me of a human torpedo on the loose that never missed hitting the target with great hands like an elite wide receiver and solid tackling skills like that of Ronny Lotte no matter what play you called. Once the ball is snapped and you had him on your team the worst nightmarish threat became a quarterback's reality resulting in destroying everything beyond repair.

You know what made Ty Law great? Most Hall of Famers have great positioning skills, speed, strength and other skills. Ty Law was great cause he could run the route of the receivers, BETTER than the receivers!

Ty Law was the best lockdown corners in NFL history. His impact on the game was incredible, both as a shutdown cornerback and as a key contributor to championship teams. He continued to develop as a lockdown corner for shutting down top wideouts. He definitely wasn’t the fastest corner in the league, but he was very physical. He finished his career with 838 tackles, 169 pass deflections and 53 interceptions.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

Forever my favorite cornerback of all time Ty Law he was the interception king and when he hit you better watch out my favorite play of his is when he picked off Michael Irvin or when he picked off Kurt Warner in Super Bowl 36 those hands were pin point accuracy and knowing where the ball is that man is a legend

I live in N.E. and was maybe 10-12 years old when I saw him play and he was the sole reason I got addicted to Patriots football at all. Every time he intercepted the football I got so excited. It was my goal as a kid to watch Patriots games just waiting for the moment Law would pick the ball off. I'll never forget watching that AFC game where he got Manning 3 times... this dude brought me so much joy as a kid. Way more than Tom Brady, and Brady's arguably the greatest QB that's played the game. I'm so amped that Law got into the HOF finally. So well deserved.

Belichick made a ton of terrible decisions about letting veterans go bc the Pats were, and still are, so brutally cheap, but none of them felt worse at the time, and proved worse in the long run, than letting Law go. Hard to look at his career and think 'he could have done more', but finishing out with the Pats would have maximized his production - and I'd have been a lot happier. Perhaps the greatest 'We Really Need A Turn Right Now' corner in NFL history, he got better when it mattered most. A privilege to watch him.
