Ryan Clark was beyond underrated. With not your prototypical career, Ryan Clark made his impact noticed opposite of Troy Polamalu! One of my favorite players to wear the black & gold, Clark was a monster.
Thanks so much for watching.. It honestly means the world.

    Not your typical FS. Ryan Clark caused some of the most violent football collisions I had ever seen. With clutch plays during the divisional matchup against BAL, fair to say Ryan Clark was an absolute beast. Clark left everything on the field. Don't forget to like & subscribe! Ryan Clark #25 is another unsung hero of the 2000s defenses. His work at FS in coverage is what allowed Polamalu to excel and be himself. Without top notch FS play, Polamalu gets exposed. Lastly, Ryan Clark IS THE REASON we won that divisional playoff game against Baltimore in 2011. He took the game over almost singlehandedly on defense.

  • @Leeedy_1

    Well Troy Polamalu was undoubtedly the heart and sole of the defense and the team back when he played. When we needed a game sealing play, when we needed a momentum shifter to get us back in the game, whatever it was, a lot of times, Troy was the answer. But Ryan Clark was a huge playmaker, too.

    @NXS1FY

    Жыл бұрын

    @@bryanreese4231 It's not hard to understand what he's saying. What he's saying is that Ryan Clark was Troy's backup at Safety by meaning Clark's play/ability to play on an island gave Polamalu the reigns to be aggressive, roam the field and play off his instincts not that he was an actual backup lol. Ryan Clark pretty much gave Polamalu the ability to play like he does. They were a great tandem a complimentary to one another a backup to each others ability to play on the ball . The Steelers secondary back then and defense wouldn't be as good as it was without them.

Flash forward to the '08 Steelers Defense went down as on of the greatest of all time, goes without saying Polamalu of course was one of the best, if not the best at SS, BUT Clark was an absolute BEAST!!!!!!!!!!! How FS do you see that can lay the smack down on you like a LB, but turn around the next play and catch an interception, and stop the run like he does. I really hope I never hear Clark lecture anyone about player safety. I know this was a different game than it is now, but man, he was ruthless. The hit on Welker was dirty.

    It's funny cuz the MMA community was pretty reluctant to give rc any credibility when it came to his take on toughness or combat sports, that's cuz a lotta MMA fans weren't football fans!!!! Ryan was a freaking SAVAGE!!!! This man BROUGHT THE PAIN And had the warrior mentality!

    I remember that Ravens game. The Steelers turned the ball over a couple times giving the Ravens 21 to 3 lead. Second half the Ravens turned the ball over and the Steelers scored 21 to 3 then won it in the end

    Rewind to 2012 when we were up against tim tebow and the broncos. We came back from a double digit lead. First play of overtime, the bronco's do a walk off a td with thomas. Ryan clark was out that day, because of high altitude from his stem cell disease. He begged coach tomlin to play, but tomlin said id rather lose than to see something happened to you. Thats exactly what he did, if you watch that overtime play, I can almost be certain ryan clark would have been there to at least stop the play, or prevent it from being a td. He was a difference maker like troy. Hes the pippen to jordan, as clark is to polamalu. You cant have one without the other. Great duo in the secondary.
