Also, I love the story about the guy technically committing kidnapping/false imprisonment and assault and battery to get his stuff back. I’m glad that story ended relatively peacefully.

58:10 Retep mentions how the women sitting next to him held his arm during turbulence in a plane ride. Interesting because I learned in communication studies that women feel safer holding onto someone’s arms even if it’s a stranger when it comes to stressful situations. Obviously a partner would make them feel safer but interesting how that concept played out perfectly in reteps story.

I jumped off a 46 foot cliff and it took me 3 days while camping to talk myself into it. Forrest is crazy with doing 68 without questioning it…Retep is right, he has no amygdala

My mind is so torn between Forrest and Retep for the battle royal, I love all of those places. However, as a lifelong New Englander, I think I have to give the slight advantage to Retep for the Dunkin. Stuff like this and the never ending science talk are what make this podcast beyond amazing. After a long day of teaching it's nice to come home and listen to the guys talk some nonsense for a bit.

If a time machine was invented today you could only go as far back as the second after it was first turned on.

My parents have a “party barn” at their house with an out house they built. One time my friend and I threw a party out there while my parents were gone. A girl came rushing out of the outhouse saying she had peed on a cat. My cat, Dick, was in the hole in the out house. And sure enough, he had been peed on 😂

Retep, Dunkin’ Donuts originated in Quincy, MA a suburb of Boston. The headquarters is in Canton, MA. I live/grew up about 15 miles south of it. My home town has 5 Dunkin’ Donuts in it and a population of about 20k. Each location is crowded every morning. It’s wild. Also Forrest wins in terms of good food. I can’t get behind subway. They have too much controversy between their ex spokesperson and they’re fake meat.

@The Wild Times Podcast ive seen one(black footed ferret) in the nose creek outside airdrie alberta, hasnt been seen since 30s in this area but used to be one of its prime stomping grounds... weve had a recent invasion of a crawfish from a different and isolated river,when we found it it was feeding on these crawfish in a rocky depressed creek channel about 1ft deep with steady flow in grassland. gives me hope...noone believes me but my friend took a video and we showed it to a zoologist i worked with at the time,she couldnt believe it... i can try and get a hold of him and try and get that video...i didnt realise it was such a big deal. i knew it was endangered but so are cranes and we see a couple a year ya know...so ya msg me if u want to find that vid

my dog was the one that found it, ive lived here my whole life and am familiar with ever species from the badger to weasel to the rabbits and snakes in this area for last 2 decades. i did not recognize this animal it was a ferret of some type for sure and semi aquatic. at first i thought it was an otter but we dont have otters

we saw it during mid spring wich is almost upon us here i will search again and try to get video footage for you and maybe you will know how too maybe protect this creek if needed because the continual development on it is definitely threatening...were getting algae blooms and shallow pools because they keep stretching out the flow of the creek into suburbs. if i find it ill post on my youtube and send to you
