Thanks so much for this video - I had some limit switches but really had no idea how to connect them. Luckily I have all the supplies from other projects, and also have a 3D printer. Saves me tons of work and tinkering!

Thanks for the video, i need an info, but the grbl configuration will be saved on controller and usable also with lightburn? I mean the homing will activate also if I use lightburn? Very thanks

Just another note - the limit switches don't have to be rewired with new connectors as long as you don't mind two things. First, you'd have to bend and/or remove the metal fin that covers the ports for the limit switches. Second, you'll have to pay attention to the wire orientation because the black connectors that come with the limit switches will let you plug them in backwards.

Thanks for the info! Was about to do this and was waiting on my connectors when i decided to re-watch the video and read the comments. I figured out you don't even have to bend the metal fin as long as you bend the wires 90 degrees off the connector and really finagle it in there.

What board are you running on the laser?

have you guys had any problems cutting? I've been trying to cut 5 mm underlayment plywood from home depot and am really struggling to cut through it at all....not sure if it's beyond the limits of this thing...I'm cutting even at 1% and 100% power and not able to get a through cut

I added some other limit switchs but they are acting like a turn off button if i trigered them it disconnects the engraver and connect again after released

I fallowed your video and now I am getting an alarm 2 and will not engrave or cut

Just finished installing the limit switches. Thanks so much for the instructional video!!! When I clicked the "Homing" icon, it performed the homing sequence as expected. I started a simple file with a small box to test it out, but when the print started, the laser moved to the back right corner and started burning. It now seems to think that the home position is in the opposite corner from where the homing sequence set as the home position. Any ideas?

Did you figure out the solution to this? I'm having the same problem, I think it has something to do with the homing direction invert in the config?

Can this work using the Lightburn software? Or are you doing it with GRBL, uploading to machine, then Lightburn can do the homing properly too?

Oops, you seem to answer that question and the end of the video! Is any configuration needed beyond what you showed here within Lightburn?

I tryed this but when the lazer hit limit switch it stopped kill all power to lazer when move lazer back from switch power resume on checking settings all had went back to 0 0 1 what am I doing wrong

OMG Panda how have you been? And yes I believe sometimes my laser is possessed, but then again it could be user error. I'm going with the supernatural.
