Im confused, Amazon posts the player has 5.0 bluetooth. However the manual states 4.1 I wanted to use dual wireless headphones, which is it?

Like how you structure reviews, got Surfans you're right, it's great. Do you have a relatively reasonable wired headphones you like that offer near premium experience? Thanks for what you do. Is it possible the volume controller is positioned that way on the riuzu to prevent heating damage?

Great video. Here are my questions. If I turn off the device in the middle of playback of a MP3, will the device pick up at the point in the playback where it was it was turned off? If I have all of the MP3 files for an audio book in one folder, will it play the files in the folder in file title order or track order

does this play album songs in order? i bought a cheaper ruizu once and any album with more than 10 songs would have songs 11 through what-have-you up at the beginning no matter how you tagged it

Can this play 2x or 3x speed for audiobooks?

I just ordered this player from Amazon. In the sound settings can you adjust the Gain. Some players give this option which makes the sound bigger. Just curious. Thanks for a great review. I'm looking forward to getting mine and trying it out

This player has allot of settings and sub settings I haven't even started experimenting with yet. The 10 band EQ and various EQ presets are very extensive. So there may be a gain adjust but I haven't seen it yet or looked deep into it. I may make a future video on this. The sound is big, open and for a $100 player quite amazing. Of course the player is only as good as the source data (song file) and headphones. Anyway I do suggest buying this player the UI and sound quality is a huge value for the price range (and above).

Hi and thanks for two great reviews. My sit. is a little different. I perform using tracks in a playlist. I will put together a playlist for each performance, so its important to me just how troublesome is it making playlist and getting them into the player from my Mac. Right now I just put the playlist together in Music on my Mac and sink it to my player. Can I drag playlist directly from Music or would I now have to work with the mp3 files through Finder. How many volume settings/steps are there between min and max volume.

Hello! I got this device recently and it came with a bug that other people have reported as well. When turning on the device and selecting a song, a loud clicking noise will be heard and the song will always play on max volume, this is fixed by selecting the next song and moving back. It was supposedly fixed in a firmware update but mine still has the same issue and it says that is up to date. Do you know anything about it or where could I get a firmware update for this device?

Your welcome, This video was rather raw with my bird flying around the room (almost all bird flybuys edited out) and being kind of self-conscious about what I was going to say causing more UM's than I wanted but didn't want to video to be too edited up. Have you try the volume output power on a Bluetooth speaker?.. If yes, please tell me if it has real good power. I'm asking you, because I just got a Phinistec Z6 Pro, and it doesn't power up the volumen on my Bluetooth speaker, in other words, it sucks, I don't use headphones or headsets, only my Bluetooth speaker while I commute in my bicycle to work.. Yes it has a good output to provide a BT speaker or car etc with sound. The BT speaker has allot more to do with the sound. A $80+ BT speaker will sound better than a $5 ebay BT speaker.

you can rip music from cds you own ot trade with friends or some websites. Tidal is great for the highest quality music recordings.

I leave my Daps in a charger when not in use so really never have issues with them running out, I dont have a time test myself but never ran into any issues with a quick drain on it. I use this one amzn.to/3KLlzkU amoung others

Ive yet to have it run out but I have a bulk charger I leave it in at night. Amazon says 5 to 7 hours, depends on brightness, volume etc. See amazon link in description

This is well worth the price (and more) with the amazing sound and features. I would put this slightly above the Surfans F20 for its features and UI. Now if you were ok spending $350 the Sony NW-A306 is my top choice as it has features of players $1000+ BUT this is a great player your sure to enjoy, its a HUGE value! I would say YES - buy!

can you try IEM like tangzu wan'er or qkz hbb khan or others? also, have you tried using a usb c dac like jcally ja3 or other brands? jcally ja3 is 32bit/384khz..you did not mention the dac or amp thats on the a55, guessing it's only 24bit/192khz which is very decent..hope you do a follow up review with this additional peripherals..I'm eyeing the shanling m0 pro but if it works with a usb c dac, I might go with this one. It's only $80 here in the Philippines but I can get it maybe $70 or $65 depends if its on sale..

Ive been looking at a few IEMs although for the money the Surfans SE01 amzn.to/3Okg3Gr Do you have a favorite pair? The Tangzu has been tempting amzn.to/3ls5mYm - Ive looked at amzn.to/3lrnBgq and it looks like a huge value but Its so low priced, not sure sound quality would beat the surfans SE01. As for an amp I use this amzn.to/3zQHwZM I may do follow up on how this plays with other hardware. In some ways I dont like to hook daps to amps as its really a portable at heart. I have the new sony on order.

the jcally ja3 usb c dac is just a half inch device, it wont bother me :) or if you have other dac on hand that you can try I will greatly appreciate it, if it will work with dacs through usb c :)

Tangzu Wu Zetian is a great set watching reviews about it too. But I already ordered the Khan since it fits the tuning that I like (bass head)

Being an avid fan of HD audio I use a 3.5 mm cable connection. I have on rare occasion I have connected all my DAPs via Bluetooth (if equipped) in my C7 Corvette. It should work but there is variables like your car. It could be the players your trying to get to work but if you have defective player after defective player I would test all possibilities.

​​@@TUXXREVIEWS I did my phone and my partners iPod touch in my car via Bluetooth with no issue. Its a 2021 Mazda3 with no aux connection. Seems like many cars are removing that connection. I will get this player anyways, because the sound is likely better than those below $100 android players. If it's my vehicles bluetooth, off to the dealer it goes.

@@giancarloc1985 Sorry to her of your bad luck. I just started testing the sony nw-a306 walkman today and really impressed. If you can go up to $350 its a solid choice. I think the only player I look back on as a poor choice is the Surfans F35. I do still love the Surfans F20

I purchased this from Amazon based on this review. I liked most things about it, but did return it due to the player’s horrible battery life. I hated the case and volume control issue you mentioned as a potential issue. I was tempted to file back the top guard or just remove it entirely to solve the problem. The more I used it the more I realized how bad the battery usage was. For me I couldn’t accept the battery performance, it ultimately was a deal breaker. I purchased a Surfans F20 that came with internal upgrades, mostly a change to ESS DAC, firmware v2.7 models indicate the newest build, the model now has USB-C connectivity. The latest build is what shipped from Amazon, noting they have not made changes to the descriptions and pictures showing the older version. I asked the seller if what shipping would have the USB-C version before buying and received messaging stating yes. The Surfans F20 is in my opinion a very good featured and sounding player with greater overall battery life. I’m experiencing something like 12-15 hours on a charge.

I've always been a HUGE Sony MP3 player fan, but after searching Amazon for them, there appear to be some that are newer models, but WAAAAAY too expensive (Btw - What's the model # of that Sony you're hoping to review?)

Thats the magic of feature rich players like Ruizu and Surfans. Have you tried Bluetooth? I have tried 2 other musicplayers and returning them because the Bluetooth is awful. If they promote Bluetooth then it should work.

When it comes to HD Audio I listen with wired headphones but Bluetooth does work. You will lose alittle quality but if listening to a normal MP3 you may not notice.

converting a mp3 file to a flac file wont improve the sound quality. You need to make a flac file from the highest quality source available.

Very! I think allot of companies say a smaller number for stability but will take allot (and I mean ALOT more). The only downside is bigger the memory can add alittle slow down to searches.

Ruizu A55 is kinda flaship from ruizu, I use it as a backup when my hiby pro saber is empty battery😄. its good sound and have big power can drive my hd650s and dt990s easily. But UI, lcd and feature just B. Good job Ruizu

I have allot more to say about some of the strange behaviors of this player connecting to the internet and even going to 163 dot com. Its possible some of the base UI was on another player that connected to 163 dot com to download music or stream content in china. still looking into the whys of this player
