Here in Placencia, Belize we are just having nighttime showers and thunderstorms, but very warm & humid during the day. Northern Belize, of course, has been getting hammered, with part of the Coastal Highway washed out over the weekend. Thanks for all you do, Brian!

I’m just inland, over causeway at Galveston into Galveston county, and I must say that although I do stay tuned to my local news and weather for immediate updates during these types of events, I totally rely on your channel for an absolute no-nonsense, no hype, no drama reporting. For the next six months our anxiety will be riding somewhat high, but we are thankful and grateful that we have you to keep us informed and guide us skillfully, by God's help, through this hurricane season. Our little chain of islands (The Bahamas), has never been mentioned by foreign Meteorologists unless the storms has to pass through us to get to the bigger countries. This is not only true for us but for other small and forgotten island nations during the hurricane season. We are so close to the United States that if Florida "sneezes", "we catch a cold". We pray for Mexico and Texas, for the parts that had too much rain, and for the part that had no rain, that Mother Nature will be merciful in all areas and that the flooding will be minimal.
