These jokes are timeless. It was a joy to watch these 2 every week especially when they did things like this. I love watching the 4 candles. I grew up watch the 2 Ronnie's and they were hilarious and watching it now it never gets old, I will be 66 this year and still love watching the old time great comedians 😅😅😅😅

A timeless classic, they don’t get any better than this.

Yeah when we couldn't get enough of Paul Hogan 'Hoges' The Two Ronnie's sure enough made up for it good and proper.

Brings to mind the Fawlty Towers episode with Manuel's Filigree Siberian Hamster

I loved it when Ronnie Barker struggled to contain the laughter. They're both master's at keeping a straight face. I laugh my head off before I get to the punchline.

it always amazes me what attention to detail the props department had, we really did live in houses like that in the seventies, right down to the black mark on the water heater, signifying that its probably gushing out tons of carbon monoxide.

that has to be one of the best of the two ronnies,class,style and pure gold comedy.Unbeatable.

This is just one of so many brilliant sketches the Two Ronnie's did , brilliant writing and comedy the likes of which we'll never see again . Ronnie B was a comedy genius and also a talented actor .

Love them , even now I'm laughing with tears rolling down my face 🤣

Look at 3:20 and 4:45 for example. Without even looking at each other, they both instinctively know how long to let the laugh run before doing the next gag. Masters of their craft.

Nothing like the good old British comedy! Really funny and brings that, side splitting, belly laugh every time.

Comedic geniuses, the Two Ronnies!!! I'm so grateful for You Tube. Otherwise this American might never have even heard of the Two Ronnies. I've always been a huge British Comedy fan but never even heard of Ronnie Barker nor Ronnie Corbett before I discovered them on You Tube. So funny, the both of them.

This sketch was written by the late john Sullivan. From only fools and horses. You could just imagine Del Boy and trigger playing out this scene...

Innocent,clever and very funny.Genius double act Ronnie Baker was a true wordsmith

i can remember watching this in 1979....39 years later still as funny.

If anything its funnier now than in 1979, simply due to the collapse of contemporary comedy into a black hole of ironical self loathing and vile hatred of all mankind and existence.

Actually just watched this sketch on BBC4s 2 Ronnies Sketch Book. They said John Sullivan went on to make Only Fools and Horses with some inspiration from this sketch. You can see where Del Boy and the dodgy dealings came from with the Victorian watches ect. Barker was absolutely brilliant at writing. And how he could do the sketches without cracking a smile is bloody phenomenal

The performances are pitch perfect. Genius.

This is one of my favourite comedy sketches of all time. As good as when Del Boy and Rodney came out of the fog dressed as Batman and Robin.

It took me a moment to realise the joke, but when I did I couldn’t stop laughing.

Utter masters of their craft along with the script writers inc. Ronnie B himself. Ronnie B was also one of the finest serious actors too according to none less than Laurence Olivier.

Legendary the Donald bit cracks me up

absolute brilliance -- simple little subject turned into clever comedy.

Today's generation wouldn't understand this humour at all. So glad I was born in 1990 to grow up watching this sort of good old fashioned UK comedy

Ronnie Barker's greyhound wasn't keen on going for a walk at the end.

Little known fact: this sketch was written by John Sullivan, he of Only Fools and Horses and Citizen Smith fame.

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s an Argentinian racing pigeon.

I think their range of accents are seriously underrated to be honest
