    Thank you for your video. I was wondering if you could give me a link where you bought the light blue beads that have the shiny spots. I want to see how they are listed so I know which ones to buy that will have that. I tried a search on amazon for Czech seed beads size 11 but get too many results that don't look like yours. Thank you! :D

    I love your tutorials. You said these are hair ties for your daughters. Can you show what hardware or method these use on the back to secure the hair. I have 1 daughter whose hair is so thick that a barrette won’t hold her hair. Looking for ideas.

    Hi, beginning beader here, I’m so confused as to how is one side of the tacking thread is open? How does the needle stay on the thread and where does the knot go when you’re preparing your tacking thread?

  • @monac.8890

    @monac.8890

    You can double up your tacking thread. Knot at the end always. I just leave my tacking thread open because it leaves less of a gap when tacking down in-between bead

    Yay! Thank you. I just started to do beading, I mean I used to watch lots when I was young and sit with my grandma when she would sew, but I didn't try myself until recently. I am excited for your moccasin videos, I am learning how to bead from a book and from videos. I have a book for making moccasins also. :)

    Good morning hope all is well with you . You said the beads are 12s can you tell me also the name and where I can buy them. I use seed beads and they don’t have 12s only 11/0. 6/0 and so on I love your work and will like to continue using your kind of beads and your technique. Wish I can attend a class that you teach cause I really really love work I’ve been looking for a videos and truly you’re the best. This is a hobby for me

    donna fermin. There are a few types of seedbeads that have that carry 12's, particularly Czech seedbeads and vintage. I looked it up to double check. 😉 My mistake though, these beads I'm using are a size 11. I got them at powwow, so I'm not sure which vendor would carry this particular bead. However Shipwreak Beads has the most extesive inventory I've seen. Hope This helps. Happy beading 😊

    A good way to make the white spot disappear is no use a dot of blue marker before sewing the one bead on. The white spot will disappear.

    Honesty I don't know the name. I got them from a vendor at a pow-wow. As far as I know they don't have any kind of finish. It's just the color and the tri cut.

    Im so confused about the tacking thread and what you mean about it not being doubled... can you do another video of a close up on how you’re tacking with a thread thats open on one end?

  • @monac.8890

    @monac.8890

    Hello. I'm sorry it seems confusing. I do have a few other videos that might clear it up. The simplest way I can explain is you are using 2 different threads for beading. One thread is to string your beads on and the other thread (which I was explaining is open) is used to go over the 1st thread to basically "tack" it down, or rather keep the beads and thread in place . How ever I do have a video "beading for beginners that does cover how to use the 2 needle beading technique. Hope this helos

    When I say open I mean to say I just tied a little know on one end "Open"means I didn't double up the thread as one would normally do.

    Mona C. I understand you are using two different threads, the lead thread and the tacking thread. I’ve watched all of your other videos and I don’t understand how its possible to sew with a needle where the thread isn’t doubled (I’ve never heard of this before). Sorry i’m sure its such a simple thing to do but I’m having such a hard time figuring out how you’re doing it since in this video your tacking thread was already ready to go 😅

  • @monac.8890

    I see what you mean. I only use an undoubled thread when my thread is to thick. Like size D and I'm not wanting it to show. Instead of tying both sides together and making a knot just keep one side out. But really it's unnecessary and just a personal thing I when I bead. Like I said in my videos just do what feels comfortable for you. Everyone has diffrent ways to bead.
