You too certainly are grafters. It's great to see the potager coming on. I'm very jealous of your land but I'm a fairweather gardener myself so if I did have a decent size garden, it would be full of weeds! I love the stonework pointing you do Tracy. Every time I see someone else doing it, I say to the screen , "do it the way Tracy does it". Can't wait to see the kitchen. My guess for the colour is a dark blue or dark grey, which would go very well with the cream pointing and stone. Looking forward to your next video.

Another thing the fine mesh will do is protect the plants from heavy rain - and any hail - by breaking up the raindrops - keeps the plants from being beaten down. When we did not have the plastic on the greenhouse, we used a fine-mesh net to cover the top. Looking good guys!

That's the plan! I am still using the garlics, onions , potatoes and leeks from lady years crops🤗 and l have planted the purple garlics from the ones l grew as well xx

I’m so glad you’re putting in steps from the kitchen to the garden & a new gate. Hard work is fine when it is necessary but there’s no need for extra steps when things can be more convenient. Tracy and Budo, will you be adding flowers to your potager to bring in pollinators and detract unwanted pests? I bet the slate tingling in the wind helps to keep unwanted animals like deer away. Just a bit of rain says Budo hiding under the plastic while Tracy is bending over working in the rain, sorry Budo😉. I love the idea of the walkway, stairs and new gate. What about adding a beautiful arbor? Time for another Budo beautiful creation! Tracy, I noticed you were having to climb up a slippery incline near the compost pile to get to the wheelbarrow. Do you have a piece of plywood you could put down near there so the wheelbarrow could be closer? I have been doing the same, hauling compost but up a much steeper hill. I wish I had a motorized wheelbarrow! Looking lovely guys!

No greater compliment than having mole hills. This means excellent soil life, full of food for moles. Unfortunately I have plenty of them too. Moles improve your soil even more by letting oxygen in their tunnels. They eat grub larva.

Hi Wanda yes your right they are good soil workers and we need them but there are a lot here and they are making things very dangerous here for us as we keep twisting ankles and could end up with an injury so we don't mind chezzy getting a couple now and then 😉 x

@@FrenchFarmhouseDiaries you are só right. Our dog digs holes to Australia🤣 to trace them. We have some mole traps placed to protect our fruit trees and veggies. Otherwise no rootsystem survives and everything above ground in dead.

Wow, you've got me going now. We're having the same weather here on the south coast in B.C., Canada. I love what you've done. I don't have as much garden space as you folks do, but I do have raspberries, blueberries and will put in some salad fixings. High five!!!

Yes we did last year but l made lots of things which l will be filming this year and gave lots away !! This year l will be going to the markets with the produce and the cut flowers 💐 😍 xx
