I mean for them its just another work day. I doubt they had been laughing about the dead person, And even if they were dark humor is an amazing coping mechanism which is why most armed forces and emergency service people tend to have a dark sense of humor.

I dont think so. Chicago murders in 2023 were 617 or 23 per 1000 population. Greater Manchester 36 murders in 2023 or 1.2 per 1000 population. You have a 20x more chance of being murdered in Chicago than Gtr Manchester. The population of both cities is similar
