Two Armies Fight Over Dinosaur Bones

#Diorama #Craft #Dinosaur
This week, I made a diorama of two armies battling over the unearthed skeleton of a giant T-Rex. The two armies are mercenary groups hired by competing trophy hunters to protect and secure the dinosaur bones for themselves.

Dude! Such a cool build! Now I want to see more fossil gathering! Maybe an excavation in a swamp pulling out the skeleton of a mammoth? Or on a beach with a plesiosaur skeleton and a monster hidden in the waves? Would love to see some structures like tents or scaffolding worked in.

The "hidden monster" idea fits with many of his other dioramas. Love it!
The fact that the skeleton is both ginormous and fully articulated tells a terrifying story. These bones are recent. Fossilised maybe, but probably not in the MYA range as contemporary dinosaur fossils. These would likely be in the TYA range, akin to Pleistocene megafauna. Land of the Lost perhaps? Speaking of such animals, can we get some interactions with prehistoric animals and cryptids? Such as a Columbian mammoth herd being stalked by a dragon or suitably horrifying beast? The world you've created is amazing, and the more I see of it the more I want to tie my boots up and explore it! Excellent work as usual and I eagerly await whatever comes next!

I find it kinda funny to think that, in the imaginary wild west, it would probably just be a normal day finding this considering what's alive at the time.
Would love to see a western scene at a beach front, if possible.. Maybe a haven of sorts where trades happen? Either way, love the work and the story you're building! Keep it up, Boylei :)

So much action going on in this one, my eyes wander around looking for all the different stories going on. Well done!
The little conversations between the minis are one of my favorite parts of tour build videos. 😂
Boylei's Weird West - A most interesting timeline! I've loved watching this world get bigger and more fleshed out with every diorama.
The conversation between the minis was funny.😂
GREAT DIORAMA and story. The BONE-WARS actually are historical, but not very bloody Two rival paleontologist COPE and MARSH competed over many fossil finds between 1877 an 1892 in what was the real wild west.
Your builds are awesome as ever. But those 'speech bubbles/commentarty' between the characters, when placing the figures are out of this world! Love it!
Your Fantasy Wild West would make an awesome show. You've made an amazing world come to life with your descriptions and dioramas.
Looks fantastic. You should do a last stand style diorama. Have one small army defending something while another massive army approaches.

I’ll do you one better - a tiny, under-equipped group hauling a gargantuan fossil while several much larger armies try and steal the catch. The only reason the small group has been able to defend is because the main forces of the larger armies are busy keeping each other in check. It’d be a big undertaking but a pretty epic diorama

@@quakxy_dukx that's a great idea. Like a caravan caught out in the open, having to defend from all sides.
I really want to write a homebrew dnd setting based around this universe you have made. Mechs and all. I absolutely love it!
Great build, and great sense of humor. Love it! Thank you Boylei!!!
Dino, yay!!!! This turned out awesome! Kind of the "Bone Wars" from real life brought to the Wild Imaginary West!
I love the dialogue between them and awesome kit to use for the build.

love the dialogue when ya put in the figures, always great
We need a tour of all these dioramas ! Love the channel
Another brilliant build. You are full of ideas and never seem to be short of things to build. Your commentary and sense of humour makes it even more addictive to watch. Brilliant man! Keep them coming.
Truly one of my favorite channels on KZread. Just a man doing what he loves in a very well executed format. Just so incredibly entertaining and full of knowledge. Love this build!
I am so glad you're doing more with dinosaurs! I'm actually aspiring to go to Texas Tech for a paleontology major. This is something that really brings me happiness. I didn't have a favorite of your videos until now, more WIW dinos, please!

Beautiful! I love this! And I learned to never judge a paint job before it's done. This looks great!
I love these types of builds. It appeals to my creative mind. The broken ribs and partially buried head and foot, you nailed it. So cool
I loved the little dialogue between the hired guns towards the end. Really got me chuckling, bravo.
I love the depth. Looks so good keep it up
excellent artistic skills and even better story telling. I hope this gets made into a movie
I am truly hooked in this little world you've made. Every addition is so exciting to see!
Even when I'm on a trip to Asia, I NEVER miss your videos. Great job!
An army camp for one of these mercenary groups would be a cool build.
I absolutely love your videos ❤❤
Your art is amazing! Love your work.
The pre fight conversation between armies 😂 This is great
I'm loving the expansive stories you also create!
This diorama gave me big "Dragon Teeth" by Michael Crichton vibes. It's a great book about the Bone Wars that was published posthumously in Crichton's name.

I didn't think about the book, but I also had a feel like the Bone Wars between Cope and Marsh got very literal in this Wild Imaginary West
I have spent my day Binge watching these wild imaginary west videos and I am loving them and I can't wait to see more. If I may suggest a future build, maybe a dark forrest area with a pack of large Wolves tracking down a gang of outlaws.
This is amazing, and I was invested in their little conversation. Shame they had to fight over DNA.
As someone who wanted to be a Paleontologist when he was young, this build pleases me greatly.
Love your hobby mat, love your dinosaur, love your terrain, and really love the clever and funny dialogue between the trophy hunters near the end. LOVE THIS BUILD!!! A-OK ❤❤
This one is now my favorite. Amazing work. Your videos continue to inspire me to do this.
I agree we need to see more dinosaurs on this channel. With this one I like how the soldiers were positioned so there was no clear winner. Each had the upper hand in different spots
Like this one. There actually where bone wars in the late 1800's between two paleontologists who indulged in some underhanded methods.
YES. Your content is so unique and cool wish for more longer more in depth builds it’s honestly so relaxing !!
I absolutely love the overall feel and color palette here. That said, the red vs yellow thing has me thinking of team Mario vs. team Wario, and that only makes me enjoy it more. What a fun and simple project this week!
The diorama "Two Armies Fight Over Dinosaur Bones" is truly amazing. The level of detail and creativity put into it is remarkable. The portrayal of the battle scene is so lifelike and the use of different materials to create the different elements is impressive. It's a true masterpiece and a testament to the artist's talent and skill.
I love watching videos from channels like this juxtaposed to ones from places, like north of the border, where one puts a lot of care, time and effort into the craft, and the other is just haphazardly brute force in its way through until they get something that’s good enough
Another VERY inspired dio, you're so creative...and talented!
Amazing project as always 👍😁, love the concept of fossil hunting in your alternate universe..I especially loved the Convo between the two armies lol 😂
Thank you patrons for helping him give us commoners awesome builds!!!
Wow, what a great build, the terrain and paint were perfect. I loved the backstory as usual, really brings the world to life.
I thought this was gonna be a really weird one… BUT IT IS PROBABLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE DIORAMAS FROM YOU BOYLEI!!!!! This is so FREAKING original I love it to DEATH!!!! Keep this up dude!!! 😁

As always, another imaginative and well executed diorama! Thanks for sharing
Dude, this diorama is truly magnificent and all of your videos just spark my imagination and make me want to do things like u do. Once again absolutely amazing job!
A detail that would’ve taken this to the next level (on top of incredible obviously) for me would be if there was an archaeologist *in the rib cage* continuing to excavate the fossils. Incredible work as always, I love that dinosaurs in the WIW are even bigger than they are in real life and hope to see more 💕💕
I love these army fighting dioramas so much.
I have seen meny t-rex used craftings , but these is the BEST 😮🎉
Love your stuff, my friend. I’m always learning from your videos to apply to my own hobby. I greatly appreciate you. - Rick, USMC.
This remind me of the real life “Bone Wars” where a couple of archeologists had a mini feud with each other.
I was confused about the diorama until you explained to lore. Now I'm totally here for it.
Hell yeah its the "Bone Wars" something that actually happened in our world with the rivalry of paleontologist Othniel Charles Marsh and Edward Drinker Cope. Its so freaking awesome
Love the video bro keep it up it never fails to impress ❤️
LOVE this build! Out of curiosity, was the idea for fighting over dinosaur bones inspired by the real Bone Wars in the late 1800s American West?
Outstanding! Love the Dino addition to the imaginary Wild West!
I absolutely love the banter between figures!
Always an honor! 😌🤙🏼
Finally, DINOSAURS!!!! As soon as I can afford it I will want to make dioramas centered on dinosaurs and you don't know how much your videos will help me, thanks
He just makes stories like in point 25 seconds for every diorama
I just started watching your vids and I've fallen in love with the attention to detail. I love how everyone holding a gun is pointing at an enemy without just aimlessly holding a gun. I think it makes it so much more livelier. Great work man. You work is so beautiful.
it’s always a good day when boylie uploads fr
Such an amazing artist.
This little world never ceases to amaze me. Have you considered making something along the lines of a "giant cattle ranch". As in a regular ranch that holds giant cattle...?
The really incredible thing is that this happened. Othniel Charles Marsh and Edward Drinker Cope, previous friends and paleontological colleagues, had a terrible falling out and started the Bone Wars, a cold war where they each tried to discredit and name more genera than the other. Later on, it got ruthless and they hired mercenaries to defend their excavation sites and sabotage the other’s. That’s actually where modern American paleontology can trace most of its most notable discoveries such as Triceratops, Allosaurus, Diplodocus, and Stegosaurus.
The dialogue between the characters in these dioramas always cracks me up.
Wow The archeology series is great
Masterful work! You continue to impress, Boylei!
Glad to see you've corrected your ways. Keep the dinosaurs coming!
Ok... I'm probably not the first one to say this but... There is something about you're voice that is so relaxing to hear! Thanks for the awesome content, keep it up!
You should do another underwater monster diorama. Glowing eyes, sharp teeth and everything. Perhaps a cross between a wendigo and an eel.
A mueseum of alternate history that housed all of these dioramas would be soo cool.
as a kind of sequel to this, I would love to see some mercenaries fighting over a downed UFO.
Your local hobby store has got to be the coolest place on the planet.
Mr Boylei, you are correct. More dinosaurs are always good. I'd really like an anime series or something in your West, it's fantastic and the world needs more.
DINOSAURS! This might be one of my favorites. I just love all these little things you are able to create. Its amazing
Your statement is indeed correct, everything could use more dinosaurs. And now this is my favorite WIW build with the dinosaurs and worldbuilding and that dialogue. Love it!
When I first saw the mounted guy next to the dinosaur I thought it must have been huge, my next thought was how I hope these guys manage to find a living dinosaur at some point because that would be way too cool! Great build!
Think this has to be one of my favourites so far, I like how it could have been a real situation
It would be amazing if he could combine all his diorama to make a massive one that tells a story of the world I would ĺove to see that
It's absolutely hilarious that this is actually somewhat historically accurate. It's only a slight escalation from the actual Bone Wars between Edward Drinker Cope and Othniel Charles Marsh
One of my favourite imaginary wild wests to date!
So very cool. My daughter loves dinosaurs and couldn't wait to watch this with me. She begged me to ask you to do more dinosaurs, please. We love your work.
The banter between the soldiers at the end was hilarious
Very cool build and story. Reminds me of Michael Crightons book “dragon teeth”. Very cool nostalgia seeing the images from that book come to life here
NGL i love the little miniature converation bits a lot.
Best part about this is there really was a period of time in the 1800's called "The Bone Wars", where there was a heated rivalry and competition for dinosaur bones between two palaeontologists former friends Othniel Charles Marsh and Edward Drinker Cope.
Now I think you're just making things up.... another very cool build. Thanks for sharing your work.
Love the little conversations
