Was a dumb, silly, and fun show to pass the time with. I used to like having it on because I didn't care about the plot at all, just Charlie's zingers and Jake getting up to mischief. Once Ashton took over, man it went downhill fast. Sad because I like him. Fun fact, Jon Cryer (Sheen's brother) almost played Chandler in Friends. Imagine that.. lol.

Caught the show during reruns and Charlie-era eps are pretty entertaining. Perfect odd-couple dynamic and amazing chemistry. But on top of story fatigue any sitcom with duration suffers, the Kutcher era felt more about proving the show was bigger than Sheen, which this case demonstrates it wasn't. Alan and Jake's characters changed for the worse. Bad ploys like introducing Charlie's "long-lost" hot lez daughter that inherited his libido.

Yeah, I can't think of any modern sitcom on a network TV that comes close to what it use to be in terms of taking risks with joke telling. Even early seasons of The Big Bang Theory would say some risky stuff.

One of my favorite sitcoms of all time. Although hard to post a reaction due to the heavy editing you'd need to do! 🤣😂 Like the Seinfeld "best of", these are not the best of Charlie. Taken out of context, you need to learn the characters, the running jokes, the premise of the show, and the dynamics of all the characters together for the lines to really be hilarious.

Charlie was a great actor until cocaine, booze and whatever else he pleased trashed his life, professionally and on a physical, psychological and emotional level. Happens a lot to people who have that level of success, wealth and fame at an early age. Of course he grew up with wealth and a degree of fame as a member of the Estevez/Sheen family so he had a head start.

Here’s the tying about the show: it’s completely unoriginal and had been done dozens of time and it’s just a straightforward sitcom reminiscent of a style that should have died in the 90s. BUT if you watch it in that context. As if that’s the only sorts of shows that have ever been made, then it’s not a bad show. Charlie Sheen has some decent lines in it.
