In this video, we explore the question of whether a longer and more detailed description can lead to better results when using AI art generators like DALLE-2. DALLE-2 is an AI art generator that can take a human-written description of a picture and attempt to create it. We know that the more detailed a description is, the more accurate the generated photos become.
To test this, we decided to use another AI tool called Chat GPT. Chat GPT is known for taking small descriptions and turning them into much more detailed and sometimes better written versions. So, we thought, what if we combined the two?
We started by writing three relatively short, but descriptive descriptions of photos that we wanted DALLE-2 to create. These descriptions were: "create a photo realistic image of a blonde man with a shocked face looking at a computer screen. the screen has crazy art on it", "create a photo of a dog flying over a barn with horses in the background", and "create a photo of a horse jumping a fence. the fence is on fire".
Next, we gave these short descriptions to DALLE-2 to see what it would create as a control. Then, we took these descriptions and gave them to Chat GPT, asking it to write much longer and more detailed descriptions of the same photos. We then gave these longer descriptions to DALLE-2 to see if it would create better photos.
The results were quite surprising. The photos created from the longer and more detailed descriptions generated by Chat GPT were significantly more realistic and detailed. They captured the essence of the scenes described in a much more accurate way. This experiment shows that providing more detailed and specific descriptions to AI art generators can lead to better and more realistic results.
In conclusion, we learned that if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a thousand-word description can indeed make a better picture. By using tools like Chat GPT to expand on the descriptions we give to AI art generators like DALLE-2, we can create much more realistic and detailed images.
