This man isn't treating these cubs like pets, he knows they're wild animals and he knows they belong in the wild. He is also not treating them like human children, he is not using human language, rather he is using THEIR language. He is simply looking after them until they are big enough to look after themselves.

@Inanna Banana That mighty arrogant of you. Species come and go - over 95% of EVERY species that EVER lived are gone. We didn't kill them all. We contributed towards 3-4%. It's what nature does - when a species becomes obsolete they disappear. Or it's what God does if you believe. Also Nature is not your friend - it's an enemy that we have battled for survival. From animals, poison plants, poison animals, bacteria, elements, diseases - we battle constantly for survival. Living in the wild is extremely dangerous - one injury can spell death. That's why MANY animals actually prefer living in good zoos, reservations or as pets - they are protected, fed and taken care of in case of injury.

@Inanna Banana just like you know absolutely nothing about the bears mother or what happened to her. She could have just as easily been killed by a male or simply left her cubs behind because it was too hard to care for them/they were weak and there wasn't enough food. Animals do that you know.

Have you actually have any proof he is doing the right thing for these animals...it looks sweet but what is truly in the best interest for the bears....when full grown they are not cute little pets just like if these were lions would it be okay ? no they deserve to be treated as the dangerous power bears that they will become simply because that is the truth.

@@lynnb1108ou're gonna let the cubs out and die? They're doing what they need to do, let the cubs grow old enough to be released, and the man taught them enough when they were younger. Clearly he can't take care of them 24 7 until they're 2 to 3 years old, so they do what's most rational, keep them in a bit enclosure where they will be safe. I don't get your point at all becuase they're going to be released in the wild when the time comes. Well apparently the video was staged, and it's still tragic that the cubs had to be taken away, but they're going to be just fine. Who knows what the next step is that they're going to take the cubs with, as long as the animals are kept well and happy is all I care to be honest.

They have the odds STACKED against them until they are fully grown(takes less than a year) and they are then big enough to stop any predator. This human man is doing them a huge service protecting them until they are of the size to 100 percent be able to do so without help. This man doesn't take them out of their element and helps be a mentor since they are without their mother whom is normally their protector/teacher. He is like a wild baby bear foster dad. This gentleman is a director and screenwriter, a former senator. The bear cubs were born to a breeder who worked in a circus and uses his animals to make commercials and films for a living. He also breeds and sells them. So no orphans. As soon as the bears grow up and are no longer funny for children's fairy tales, the director Václav will make a collection and put them away at the public's expense in some castle. The last three are in the city of Beroun, one drowned in a pool. These two are in the Točník castle enclosure and people bring them eggs and cookies. This is how they grow old and live, having only seen a few glimpses of nature's freedom. Sad reality, but it's not a fairy tale like in this movie. Everything is traceable, it is in the Czech Republic.

By analyzing the environment around him, understanding the nature, psychology, physiological, social needs etc. of the bear cubs, he was actually able to formulate a system by which he could raise the cubs teaching them about their environment, imprinting them onto humans, teaching them to avoid non familiar humans and livestock and spending hours with those cubs which is more time than most modern families are wiling to spend with their kids today anyways. I think he pretty much surpassed the very low benchmark of "modern-parenting" a few miles back.

One of the most heartwarming documentaries I have ever watched. Filled with wisdom, love, care, and respect for life, all of life. Imagine a world where one helped the other, how beautiful it could truly be… as God intended. May we all find our way back to what matters most. Godspeed 🤍✞🕊 Edit: Angelika Sigl’s filming is spectacular, from the reflection of the bear cubs in a drop of rain, the humming of nature, the glide of the looming hawk, to the sway of a delicate flower; all beautifully depicted in the serene narration of this beautiful journey. Vadslav’s priceless, inherent wisdom in the nature of things, an intuition seemingly lost to humanity. The wisdom from just this one film, is near all humanity would do well to aspire. ‘’Each to their own, within their love of nature.’’ In all that is, the frailties, the joys - the sheer peacefulness of life as it was meant to be, is depicted in this beautiful film. Much gratitude to it’s creators.🤍✞🕊

Hey, _Real Wild,_ you could really distinguish yourself from other producers of KZread nature docs by giving us _follow-ups_ on your stories. The struggles and joys of these animals don’t end when the documentary does. Now that you inspired our interest in these two sweet orphaned bears, keep it. Please consider doing another doc about them in a year or two. And look at the comments and the views to see what docs have generated the most interest. You could even do one or two full docs that are compilations of brief updates about the specific animals your audience cares about. I think it would be well worth the effort, especially with docs like this that end with only the beginning of a new chapter for the animals.

@Inanna Banana damn you crazy, as someone who works in the parks im confused as to how any person just forgets animals can die??? Mom could have gotten sick, starved, been killed by a male, been new nd abandoned them, or been hit by a car you. Any person in their right mind isn’t going to kill a bear just to take the cubs its illegal in the entirety of the states. We get cubs all the time that people find in the roads and have to rehab them. Educate yourself before you act stupid, tbh I’m guessing youre just a troll.

Would love to see that. I lived in Vermont for 10 years. There was a man from New Hampshire like Vaclav who raised orphan cubs and brought them back to the wild. From time to time he would encounter them in the woods and they always recognised him. When the female eventually had cubs of her own, she brought them out of then den to show them off to him. What a loving man Vaclav is. How hard it must be to finally let them go, even though that was the whole purpose from the beginning. It's pretty much the same for humans too. What a world it would be if we all recognised how alike we all are.

He's doing very well with the cubs! He's very knowledgeable. I wonder how many orphans he's raised. These cubs were lucky to have each other to play with. And their foster dad, too. He's taking them out in the forest plenty, letting them run around and figure things out for themselves, and teaching them what not to eat. I'm sure their mom would have taught them what to and not to eat, too.
