My father-in-law hated cats as a boy and young man. But they finally got one he liked when he was about 50 and after that they've never been without at least one. He looks like The Skipper on Gilligan's Island. We found a stray that was injured and nursed it. One of the most loving cats ever. We named it "Little Buddy" and gave it to him. If you don't understand Google it.

My cat is the one who looks left and right before crossing the street 😄 he also stops at alleys to make sure no cars are speeding out, and he only crosses at crosswalks. He is 9yrs old now and walks with us and our dog everyday for a long walk, then i found out from neighbors that he also waits at their doors from as early as 6am to go walking with them and their dog, and he walks with families and their kids to school in the morning and comes back. He is the block mascot and loves his walks 😆

1 mine looks left and right before crossing the road as well. he goes out in the morning before the busses start running and doesnt come home again till after the last bus has stoped as his territory is across a busy road and he only goes out before the roads get busy and wont come back till the roads get quit again. so i only seem him for a few hrs a day as by the time he comes home its my bedtime. His tracker says he goes out between 4 and 5 AM and he doesnt normaly come back home till around midnight. he never seems to stop for more than 20 mins in 1 place so he is nearly always on the move during the day and only sleeps when he is home. the tracker updates every 10 mins and it keeps the history so i can track where he goes over a 24hr period whici i do at night when he comes home and i put the tracker on charge before puting it back on him then go to bed.

How sweet..I have one cat who looks under my car for other cats so I won't hit them..

I can't live without cat. They are smart and they are the most beautiful beings.

We slept in a tent in our backyard one week. The stray cat we started feeding years earlier slept with us each night. It was very nice until she put a mouse under our pillow while sleeping. Good kitty. Thanks for the gift. 😴😟😯😲😬🙀🐭🐁🎁

About 4 years ago, during the height of our Australian summer my wife (a dedicated dog lover, cat hater ) found a litter of kittens seemingly abandoned in our yard. The next day with still no sign of the mother we gathered them up and started the hand rearing process to try and save them from a horrible death. There is no better feeling than having 5 kittens nuzzling your beard and exploring your dressing gown while bottle feeding the sixth. The mother cat did return 2 weeks later and rediscovered her litter but no attempt to capture her was successful. We lost 1of the kittens around 6 months of age. He was an explorer and we like to think someone took him in rather than alternate possibilities. My wife is now a convert to these wonderful animals even with the high costs of having 5 fur babies ( 3 male, 2 female ). They are all desexed and microchipped, and it helps when the Vet gives us a bulk discount on the annual check up and vaccinations. There is always a cat needing a cuddle, playtime or scratch when you have 5 of them. Eric

We had 2 sets of abandoned babies on my mom's property (triplets and quads) that we nursed and kept as pets- we became crazy cat people ever since! Although they ideally should be with their own mom, it was an amazing bonding experience that I kind of miss. My current "covid sisters" were between 6-8 weeks when I rescued them and the bond is just not the same. No matter... I'm a diehard cat fan for life 😺

My cat (a former stray, still indoor/outdoor) had four kittens a few months back. I'd honestly love to keep all of them, but as a single guy who still rents in the city, it's just not realistic. Though I'm keeping one of the kittens, saying goodbye to the other three is proving to be an emotionally trying experience.

I had a small male cat who had surgery. He had metal stitches and I had to put salve on them. After coming home from the hospital on day 2, he was acting kinda crazy wanting to go out but not actually leaving when I opened the door. In that animal to human mind meld of staring at me, I realized he knew he could not go out there by himself in his condition. So, I bought the vowel, opened the door, he waited, and I followed. He took me on journey around the property, marking (peeing) on trees and such, moving ahead stopping to make sure I was following, until we made a circle all the way back to the door and we went in. I did this a couple of days. Afterwards, he was always happy and purring on my lap. We marked our territory together to make sure the bad cats stayed away.

Cats are soo amazing and mysterious in their own ways. Absolutely love them! 😌🐈‍⬛🐈❤️

My friends 'adopted' a stray cat. He'd demand to go out for 1/2 a day, then return for the night. They took him to the vet because he started getting so fat. The vet laughed, and asked if they were SURE he was their cat. The vet recognized the cat as he already had a file on him. Turns out the furry conman was a "bigamist". He already had a family. They contacted the 'other' family, and agreed to share him, only coordinate his feedings, so he didn't turn into a glutton.

Ha! My older cat used to be indoor/outdoor, and everywhere we have lived when I was loading up to move out I’d have neighbors coming up to say goodbye telling me they were going to really miss him! I’d be like, wait, who are you? Apparently he would visit certain families at certain times when they were outside enjoying evenings on their porches and whatnot every single day, doing all his best bits, even jumping into their cars when they got home to say “hello.” He gets more done in a day than I do! Anyways now he’s indoor only though bc it drastically lowers their life spans to let cats out to wander. He loves it when we have visitors tho

My cat kept disappearing and coming back home with smoke smell lingering on its fur. we don't smoke. then it stopped and later we found missing cat note... of our cat! these poor folks bought him everything and considered it theirs. our prodigal cat got double food and cuddles for almost a month. This is happening right now with this new kitty I have been feeding. He comes in the house usually at evening and night then goes home in the morning lol I know he has a home. My cats are indoor. One doesn't like him but it's not dangerous. My daughter is in love with him. Our senior kitty passed a few months ago and she has been devastated. So let him sleep with her. Such a great cat too

I adore cats. I love dogs too, but cats just have so much personality and I admire their ability to live only by their own rules.

We had an old mamma cat that went out and brought back mice, squirrels, rabbits. Mom always said that she was paying her "rent". Mom would make a big fuss over thanking her and telling her what a good kitty she was. She never scolded her for it. We were amazed at their relationship. We always referred to her as Mommy's cat..

My wife and I watched this documentary the other night, and we had one of our cats (Sophia) sitting between us as we did so. We had about as much fun watching Sophia's reactions to the show as we did from watching the show ourselves. Sophia attentively watched the show at least 90% of the time, and her ear movements and body language as she saw and heard the cats on the TV screen were fantastic. Cats shown with their tails whipping made her hunker down as she knew what that means. Cats crouching down for an attack also made her react similarly. Basically, our cat reacted with the poses and body language one would expect from a cat who was right there live with a cat or cats exhibiting various behaviors. It was fascinating and hilarious at the same time. This is the first time we've seen Sophia pay much attention to any program on the TV, and it was wonderful. We're going to seek out more cat programs to watch with our cats, particularly Sophia, who seemed to really enjoy it. She was in a most playful mood after the show, too. Oh, and my wife and I enjoyed the show, too. Very interesting, well photographed, well edited, and entertaining while also being informative and fascinating. Often, documentaries are not so well produced as this one. So: Bravo, and thank you.

There was one time I was playing a video of a bunch of kittens crying for their mother, because they got themselves stuck somewhere. Our cat Sam was very concerned and began scouring the desk for them and seemed to be shouting "I'm listening but where are you??"

Years ago I watched the movie "The Bear" with my sisters. Our cat, who ordinarily ignored the television, planted herself in front of the set and watched the first half of the movie, which had no humans, with intense interest. When humans appeared in the second half and the focus shifted to them, she lost interest in the movie.

Rudi is my favorite. He's clearly a badass. I also love how he didn't particularly feel like he needed to refresh his scent every day. He's like "I'm tough enough that I'll be able to take it back if someone comes on my turf."

He was my favorite too:) That was the main reason why I clicked on this video was because of the thumbnail that had his photo.. he looks so similar to my cat Bella that just passed away a few months ago.. he was 22 years old. My boy had longer fur though:) He was a big Maine Coon tom cat. It reminded so much of him.. this was a cool video.

I had him since he was born. It’s still so hard being without him. I miss him terribly. But he had a very good life, and he passed away in my arms, so I’ve got to be grateful for the time I had with him:) You know how hard it is losing your fur baby though.. and he was my first one that I had on my own once I moved out when I was 16. So he was my favorite..♥️

After seeing this I would be interested in getting a GPS tracker for one of my cats Lucy. The other day a neighbor told me she saw her hanging out with her big friendly male pit bull. I didn’t know she had dog friends. Lol.

A car dropped a box off on my road one day. Went up and found a kitten. Eyes weren't even open. Bottle fed it and what not. He's almost 18 now and is legit like a dog. And surprisingly still fast and agile. Jumps higher then my younger cat that is fat🤣

@@dannyarcher6370you and I both. Thank god for people like this person who will actually take the box and take care of the kittens inside instead of leaving them for dead. I have 2 nearly 3 year old maincoon cats who’s mother was even found in the middle of the road half ran over. Everyone went over or around her until we got her and took her in and nursed her back to health. Not long after, we had the 2 lovely cats that we have now. I love them like actual kids.

We had a feral show up one night. We fed her and slowly gained her trust. Took about two years but she moved in and she eventually lost interest in going out at all. We took good care of her. She was such a sweetheart. She suffered medical problems from years of living in the wild. We always wondered where she came from and what her life was like.

Oh funny, there was a HUGE "Garfield" colored male cat from somewhere in our area of the city. He must have 35 lbs at least. GORGEOUS~ To me he seemed as if he might have some Maine Coone in him to be that large and not be an obese cat. I could never get close enough to him because I had a dog. My dog loved kitties too.

I thought it interesting that Lars and Emily live with the same family but never bonded at all, yet they have the exact same territory patrolled at different times. I'd sure like to talk to all these cats and have them explain what they're thinking. Fascinating study.

I hand delivered my furr babies. Momma was bought for my son, and she escaped the just before she was to be fixed and was ended up pregnant. We went to the vet to get her fixed, and he was like she's pregnant. So, we bonded over the three months, and she came to me when she first started labor and made her a nest like bed on my bed, and I stayed up with up with her. A few hours later, our first little bean popped out, and she literally held my arm as she pushed. Then, half an hour later, a second little bean, and then labor stopped. I called the vet, and he said if she didn't deliver the last babie that we had to bring her in at 7am. I dropped her off and came back and bam. Not one more bean but two!!! She was fixed just after he did the surgery to get the babies out. So fast forward a bit, and I was the only one allowed to be near the babies. She would get so exhausted after delivering and then major surgery. She would meow and look at me and be like it's your turn. I am done, lol. And we would switch and she would go relax with my son and I would watch the babies. She would carry each baby to me and take off for a bit. The second they would meow for food, she was back instantly. We ended up keeping two beans and gave two away. The boys are more human than cat. They are now 5, and they think I am also momma and are the biggest sucks. They even talk a lot. Lots of chirping and always tail straight up and happy. They are my babies and are part of the family. I would love to put gps on them and see where they go. They are the only cats on my block and have the whole neighborhood to themselves. Anyways, sorry for the book, like comment lol Have a super awesome day everyone!!!

Enjoyed your ‘book’!! I too had a kitty, Sugar, that got pregnant by,, her brother!🥴 She was only 6 months and didn’t understand. She had 2 babies, both boys in my lap. I made her a bed for them, but she would pick them up and bring them to me. She wanted her babies in my lap! Sweet. They ended up being the smartest kitties, but I made very sure that never happened again!!! God bless❣️

In Boxtel Netherlands smallish woodland animals in the country were being hit by cars routinely , so the town decided to pay for tunnels , or corridors to be dug under the roads , in key areas where they frequented . It was a complete success . I suspect cats have learned to use them as well

I loved this. I have cats but they are indoor cats. I’ve rescued 3 from outside. The first one was a intact ginger Tom about 5. He was so beautiful. At first I let him out. I didn’t know who he belonged to. He was under my deck in a blizzard. I figured he was forgotten by his family or someone died & he was just let outside. He came home from a fight & I never let him out again. However, he got out a few times only to run under my deck where he has lived. The 2nd was a feral Tom I thought was a teen. Took me months. Eventually he came inside. He was about 3 the vet said. I wasn’t sure if he was a female or male. He’s never been out again. The 3rd was a calico teenager in my front tree trying to catch something to eat. I coaxed her down w food. I figured someone couldn’t handle her & let her go. She was quite a handful. I take her outside w me only. I had another cat that died 2 yrs at 20. He was allowed to go outside in the summer w me, so that’s how the Calico got the privilege to go outside, plus I really couldn’t control her. She never leaves the yard. I’m always outside w her.

This was a great watch. I have two cats (Cashew and Mango), but the rule is they are not allowed out once it gets dark,so they're very into the human rhythm of up at light, asleep at dark. They have evening entertainment though, as we have 4 foxes that regularly visit at night (I leave them food) so it's their own version of Cat TV. Weirdly though, when I let them out at day break I have regularly seen them playing/chasing the foxes like it's the best playtime - the foxes know I feed them/are aware the cats come from the same house. It's hilarious watching a cat a quarter of the size of a fox chase them around and give them playful punches.

lived under a mountain with houses spread pretty far apart and we had 2 cats. one day a bear was trying to get into our garbage and one of our cats who was the most chill cat in the world named Smokey just walked up to the bear and they acted like they were friends. we just assume that wasnt their first encounter, pretty awesome if u ask me.

Others say they do it to teach you how to hunt because they find you a bad hunter. Either way, cats shouldn't be let to catch native species (that includes native rodents). That does not include house mice, since they are not native, but sure includes mice that live in the forests and fields, they are different species.

Wow. This is the first docu I've seen in a while where the narrators voice isn't drowned out by the music & sound effects. Give those sound people a raise.

I've been obsessed with cats since I was a little kid. After a number of years I quit fighting my obsession. Now I watch KZread vids of them every chance I get.

What a awesome vet these cats have! What a great understanding he has about cats having souls...I think all these cats are in the right place:) A very interesting documentary. Thanks to the people who put this useful scientific study together for us to view.

All animals do and as a vet, something is wrong if you don't understand that 😂

I used to be agnostic about cats but always loved dogs. I took in a stray and it freely goes in and out of my house. They are MUCH more interesting than dogs. They lead lives outside of what we see, maybe even with second families. They're extremely stealthy, sensitive, territorial, and instinctive killers. They are fascinating.

The big difference between dogs and cats is (besides the size) is that Dogs pretty much lost their ability to hunt because they know we will give them food. Cats however despite feeding them they have not lost their ability to hunt. And what I do love about house cats is that they are technically teaching us What big cats do

I feel the same way about my cats. My heart drops so hard if I think they got out or something happened to them. Especially since we live on a busy street with a bunch of A holes who speed through they’d just get ran over. But one thing I have found that works and gives a good balance is trying to get your cat adjusted to walks with a harness and leash. They get to run around as much as you can put up with, and you can also keep them in bounds and insight the entire time and react to things if necessary.

Wished we had this for our orange tabby we had for 17 years. He was an explorer. He roamed all over and visited many I'm sure. He went out at 6 am, hung around the house until after children went to school. Then off he went. He was very regimen. 6am all better get up and he sat on the until 9pm. Then he bathed himself every night at 9pm. Then goes to each child's room and sat with them until they fell asleep. He was a true parent. During the day, he usually brought us decaptitated squirrels, baby rabbits, and bats. He always came home just before the children came home from school. He would go on walks with us. He also walked our eldest and neighbors children to and from school for 3 years. Two of us had asthma during winter at times, he would come sit on our chest and dig in applying pressure. It actually helped calm and relax like a heavy blanket. He could open doors. When neighbor boys played baseball, hecwoukd run outvand sit on the ball. He was so fun! Very social. Now we have another kitty with a mustache. He is 2. He is now wanting to explore, but people today are so different. They don't let cats roam anymore and or try to keep them. This kitty also comes and sits on our chest and digs in and applies pressure on cold winter nights. I do believe there is a healing aspect to this they are trying to do. My comment was humans who eat meat, the ones in the wild don't have Walmarts with literally hundreds of other things to eat instead of meat. I mean we have so many other choices. Animals do not need to suffer under human beings anymore, I mean who can eat veal and call themselves a decent person? All I can say is if aliens come and see how we treat animals, we deserve the same treatment from them. @@Deploracle

The BBC did this documentary in an English Villiage many years ago, it was surprising how many Cat’s had supper at different houses! No wonder we can’t get them to loose weight. It’s good to see another country do the same. I’ve got 7 Cat’s left from the 9 I had. Two are British Shorthair and 5 Burmese. They have their own garden that’s been converted to prevent them leaving home.

I love this kind vet who saves neglected litters of kittens. Wild cats suffer terribly, as he says.

@@regant.cameron8237 I agree with you, since the grains that are needed to feed the cattle's. chickens, pigs, and lambs, and other livestock's, etc. are skyrocketing in prices due to sanctions on Russia over Ukraine, then watch the feral and stray cats population completely DISAPPEAR, and will appear on many families dinner meals and plates, and restaurant menu's as we speak. Russia has become the largest producer or wheat, barley, corn and other grains in recent years, since many people in western nations tend to like to sit around and play with their devices all day long, and will NOT do this kind of laborious, and back breaking type of work, producing the necessary foods that we have been conveniently enjoy eating all of those years, and taking things for granted as well. I hope you know what I'm getting at?

India has a very good crop of grain and will no doubt export a lot of it.

I have watched cat tracking videos before and its always amazing how wide reaching they are. When either of our cats are gone the whole day I often wonder just how far afield they have gotten.

I used to have a cat named Rudy. I had to put him down last year due to a cancerous mass on his face that couldn’t be treated because he also had chronic kidney failure, but he made it to 19 years old, so he had a good long life. He was the sweetest, most affectionate cat I’ve ever known, and I’ve had a cat since I was 5 years old (now 37). He was a Maine coon, but ironically, my cat KC looks exactly like Rudi in this documentary (just about 8 years younger). My parents lived on a corner for most of my childhood. People tend to come around the corner way too fast, despite it being a small residential neighborhood. We had 2 cats get run over (verified) and 1 that just disappeared (presumed run over). After that, we made an agreement as a family that all our cats would stay inside. It limits their territory and might make their life more boring, but we try to make up for that with toys and attention. They definitely have longer, healthier lives when kept inside.

I watched my cat get run over when I was just 10 years old. Poor guy didn't get much of a life sadly. (Munchie - only 2.5 years old) It was so traumatizing and awful that I have never had an outdoor cat again. Even when my mother's cats, who still are allowed outside periodically, come back in I scold her and remind her of what happened to our poor orange friend Munchie. Her cats are very healthy and happy, but I'm always paranoid for the ones who go outside. People drive like damned idiots all the time and you just never know. So for my 2 cats (Stan and Nigel) they live indoors 100%... To help them cope, I've hung kitty hammocks by the windows in clear sight of the bird feeder, and I've placed a bowl of potting soil with wheatgrass and bluegrass growing in it, which they chomp on from time to time... so at least they can still have a little bit of simulated outside time.

A couple of thousand dollars will build a big cat run in your garden.

Few days back,my 6 month old indoor kitten went outside the house when I was sleeping and he got lost. I searched for him everywhere,call his name, ask to my neighbors, but he didn't come back. I tried to control my emotions,but when the night falls I almost lost the hope of finding him again.I was crying badly i cried so much that I even puked.I deleted all his photos and videos because I wanted to forget him. I couldn't sleep properly that night. But a miracle happens when I woke up at 2.27 am he was walking on top of me while I was sleeping on my bed. I couldn't believe this. I was so so happy. Thank God for answering my prayer.

The Vet in the video is an absolute animal lover. Thank goodness for him. He is sitting here lovingly staring at the babies

My friends cat started going out at breakfast time. They decided to follow him. He went to the next door basement flat with two OAPs. He was sat at his place at their table eating a boiled egg. The old dears were devastated they thought they were rescuing the little conman. His name was FRODO

Semi rural UK here. My old cat (sadly lost to cancer) used to range at least a mile, he would bring back rabbits and squirrels and was extremely territorial, he was feral when we got him. Very aggressive but the most loving of cats with us and his adopted brother, who barely left the garden. The current cat (18m old) has spent months getting friendly with the local dogs, a few of them he even plays with, they chase each other round the dog owner's gardens.

Bye bye, all wildlife, when domestic cats roam. Leash & harness walkies is kinder to birds' and small animals' lives. A bell break-away collar always great accessory for roaming kitties

My free roaming kitties always headed right into the middle of traffic

I knew my cats were going further than I imagined, quite scary but they always come home. I keep mine in at night now since some of them have come home with injuries, but they’re happy spoiled kitties. Only a creature with a soul could return love as do my cats & dogs ❤️

I bet if there were meth addict cats in the streets you wouldn't let them go out at all .... I'm not even allowed to defend myself as a homeless woman. I even get robbed by police. when my Pete was alive, he was the most relational cat I have ever had. He did a lot of things seen in this video of cats. When I sat at the sewing machine, he'd jump on the back of my chair and drape himself over my shoulder and nuzzle my ear until I was done. And ornery, he was notorious about snaggin' a chicken nugget from my plate and trot victoriously out of the room with it. When he played, it was like there was someone invisible playing with him. I believe in angels. The bible says every human being is given one at birth. My friend tells me she's asked God to give me three more, because I tend to be a bit fearless. I believe its an angel that played with him. A week before I unknowingly would have to put him to sleep. I discovered an obscure verse in the bible, that animals that serve honorably on earth return to the Creator. I had one of those cat trees. Pete played on it like a monkey. He was tubby and aging, and he fell off the top level and broke his back. I took him to the vet. He was already paralyzed. He didn't seem to be in pain. As the vet administered the medicine, Pete Pete went to sleep in my arms for the last time. (no more cat trees). That night I had a dream. I was sitting on my bed writing like usual. I looked up and there was Pete. He was facing away from me, and there were two sets of human looking legs and sandaled feet on each side of him. Pete started walking away from me, stopped, looked back at me with his perpetual smile that he had. Then turned away and with his signature question mark tail wag, all three walked away and the dream faded. I awoke, tears in my eyes. I knew that Mr. Pete returned to his Creator and I will see him again one day. And he was ushered into eternity by two angels at his side. (btw: heaven isn't the end. Heaven is the next age to come) Pete was 10y/o. And just this past Thursday, Feb 24th, 2022, Ms. Tilly, another tubby little tabby, at the age of 19 went to be with the Creator also. I now have just one left. Tag, my shadow, a ragdoll that has no idea how to be a cat. When they are all gone. I will get another, only an elderly cat. My health if failing too. Depending on your health and age, I'd recommend a kitten, two or three are best at a time. So they can have years of imprinting on you. When they rub their cheek on you, they are marking you as their very own. Its a great honor they bestow. If older, sketchy health, elderly cats, though they can come with health problems too. If you can't afford medicine or vet bills, go for a healthier elderly cat to grow old with.

I agree. I am a vet tech and wish I could share this with every cat owner I meet. It’s I find it extremely educational especially at the 35 minute mark which explains cats belief that humans are bad hunters.

What a fantastic response to this film! I'm halftime student at college, and thanks to the miracle of Motorola voice recognition I no longer need to use my fingers to type out words so I can write longer pieces for whoever social media or comments for state agencies all that kind of stuff while still getting A's. I got my kitty a couple years ago, it was a new living situation and she found me, and so she became my roaming feline, then a year later she brought me five, and one of those unfortunately got attacked by another cat and he died immediately, so I have four left. But yeah I mean she was gone for a little bit a few weeks, she went she went on her honeymoon with her partner in the neighborhood, and then she came back for nesting and and all that. However what I noticed was that the fear of separation that these cats evidenced was definitely palpable because having been in the neighborhood they had seen how cats get torn from their mothers only a few days old. So my cat was really concerned for their for her brood. in fact, as they were growing up the first year, she slowly migrated away so that they could have more room, when it was feeding time if she was in the area she would always let them eat first and she would just wait back... Then for some reason one day she took it way too far, she was gone for a month or two, and not long ago a few weeks ago she comes back and she she's limping, think another cat bit her in the leg and she's bleeding and all that. So I bring her back in and this time I'm not going to let her go from the house because she's going to get a more trouble and she's not ready, so she finally decided to stay she finally decided to accept medicines and bandages, and so now her skin is 100% healed up. But such a good cat such as this one, who is such a good mother, who has taught her kittens the skill she knows, which basically includes shiatsu style massage and pressure points, and just a wonderful therapy as far as body therapy I've had several injuries and they've seen to it that I'm healed up from my muscular and stress injuries!!! They're so grateful for the good food, I don't just feed them cat food, most owners you know feed them dry food and occasionally wet food but not here, I share all my food with them, doesn't matter what I'm eating shrimp it could be a steak, the other day I bought a special steak for my birthday and it was a you know a really good steak and I still gave them other cat a portion of it because she had been hurt and because she deserved the best. The boy that survived, at first as soon as he started getting into heat he started looking at his sister's, and I quickly this abused him of that notion, I trained him never to even contemplate trying to do anything with his sisters because because I would I would kick him out immediately. He finally got the point, you finally grew up and now he's a really he's the best tomcat I've ever had I've never had a tomcat and this cat not only is he larger but he now he's really sweet now he understands to look out for his sisters in case of other cats, we really bonded as a family and that's because I treat them like I would literally my sons are my daughters And so as far as fertility, you know in the United States the trend is yeah neuter and spay them or else, well not here I'm not going to chop my boys balls off and I'm not going to tie my girls tubes, the other remedy is hormones. So yeah so after all that, the 1 year old went and got pregnant herself too, and now she brought me two more, but these two new kittens they are so divine that immediately they were so grateful for having me as her caretaker and I knew that they wanted to be here more than anything, and so I I decided I'll have to keep them and just raise him as my own so now from one straight Kitty that showed up, I have seven wonderful loving cats who are so incredibly grateful for the food that they get and the medicines, that they really go the extra mile to make sure that I'm feeling okay. When I just need to slow down, they let me know, and I know that they're doing it on purpose that they know that I'm fatigued that I that they know that I need this or I need that, and they always find the answer they're so bright too. Anyhow, thanks for the movie and thanks for the KZread and all that, and good job congratulations to the scientist and all that, and yeah wow must have been quite a quite a lot of work. I feed a colony of ten cats around my rural house and they all hang out together happily. Same goes for the twenty cats living at the monastery up the road. I live in Cyprus where the oldest archeological find of a cat was discovered - buried face to face with it's owner - nine thousand years ago! My house cat, Frida, also ignores my guest foster kittens when she is not snarling at them, and she'll be glad when they go to their forever home in June.

My wife and I have 5 cats. I love them and it's pretty common to find me crashed out on the couch in the living room with 2-3 cats laying on me lol. My wife is paranoid about them getting lost or hurt if they went outside so they're exclusively indoor but they all seem pretty content. I found this video fascinating.

My cat was adopted. He's such a blessing. Loving, mostly sweet 😇 and very vocal. Sleeps inside for most of the day then runs around outside after dark. I often wonder what he gets up to.

I've had cats since I was a tot. Can't love them more! Such beautiful, fascinating creatures!

All I know is I love Kittys so much I feed all the strays in my neighborhood. I love them all! Rudy reminded me so much of one of my Kittys.

I have a stray cat that I feed and she stays with me 6.00pm 6am. The other 12 hours I always wondered what she's doing. I went from hating cats all my life, to feeding strays. Now I love all animals unconditionally ever since I found the Lord.

I don't want much, I just want the person reading this to be healthy, happy, and loved. Wishing you a good day my friend

I brought a tiny stray home from work 3years ago. My husband never had a cat and is absolutely fascinated with him. He was about 3mo old when I found him so he's primarily wild but he comes and goes as he pleases. He returns home every night of his own will and clearly understands he belongs to our tribe. He adores our Doberman and scent marks her every chance he gets. He is a great joy to us.

I have cats for the last 14 years and with cats for 3 decades and I am amazed by this little beautiful but mean creature. From my experience I knew a lot what is told in the documentary like hunting, wandering, and free lunch, but without any scientific proof. Your research just proved my knowledge. Thanks.

He's over 9 years old with me now

My last cat who was 18 when she died went out on the staircase one time and got psychologically stuck on the first floor of our three story building. She would not go down or up and when I tried to approach to help her she was so petrified that she began to hiss at me. I called an animal rescue service for help who said he would be there soon but was at present stuck in traffic. I put treats down on the steps, hoping to lure her up another floor but nothing helped. Sheer terror had glued her to one stair and she was remaning there. A friend came over to help, the expert was on the way, I was still hyper nervous and all of a sudden she sat up and sashayed up the stairs to the third floor and the open door of my apartment, strolled in and flicked her tail as if nothing had occurred at all. Cats! The never cease to amaze.

They’re asking the good questions “what’s do they do” “where do they go” “what motivates them.” I always wonder when I look at my cat. This video also has no business being so cute!!!

I can tell her where a lot of cats go in the evening! I have a gorgeous furbaby of my own, but I also feed a couple of cats who live in my neighbourhood! I think a lot of cats walk around visiting friends who live nearby. They're very social animals, especially when it's raining and they want a nice, warm and dry place to come to!!! Years ago, a friend of mine had a boiler in her kitchen and her cat, who had a cat flap, used to bring all his cat friends home. 🤣 They would crowd into her kitchen - about 20 of them!!! - and sleep there for the night. Then one night she came downstairs and all the cats tried to get out through the cat flap at the SAME TIME!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing this video. Rudi is a smooth operating veteran that knows about longevity in the turf game. For sure a kingpin in the area, despite his age.

I’m glad to see they are testing an orange cat. They’re in their own little world. We have one and he’s so special. 😻

I love cats. I had a Russian Grey but I lost him a mixed up adoption process with the Humane Society of Washington, DC. But he is with a good family. I am happy for them and him.

44:14 I encountered this phenomenon years ago at university when walking home from my friend's house in the early hours a little worse for wear. In the middle of the town with no one else around there was about 7 or 8 cats just hanging out. I genuinely wasn't sure if I was imagining it at the time because it seemed like such an unlikely thing to see!

I had the most wonderful cat that I rescued from a mad man. It was kind, loyal, affectionate just a spectacular cat. It lived to almost 20 and I miss it even now.

I was walking in my neighborhood yesterday and a black cat cozied up to me. He really loved attention and rolled around on his back in front of me, swatted at my ankles as I tried to keep walking. Cute😎

My neighbours cat did the same thing to me for 10 years. I think the swatting at my ankles meant that he wanted me stop trying to walk away because he wasn't finished receiving attention from me. Sometimes he would just sit on my foot making extra sure I got the message to stay. Love it!!

I also love cats. Growing up we never had cats how ever I was always fond of the feline. I had my first at 18 and at 57 I’m in my 3rd. Each new cat in my life has been completely different in personality. I thought myself most astute when it came to cat until I watched and thoroughly enjoyed your film. Very interesting. Glad u covered the homeless often feral cats emphasizing the importance of neutering. I live in a neighborhood in Oregon USA. Since I moved here I have had neutered countless cats. I have heating pads on front porch for those who are not feral or semi. So many hit by cats or die from FIV or something else. Just when I think things are under control more show up. 85 and get in despair about the cats sometimes. I am the only one that deals with. People around here often don't neuter. Good documentary. Had a cat named Charlie who lived to 22 and 4 months. A wonderful cat

A super affectionate and friendly cat named Archie greets me EVERY DAY when i get home from work. I guess he can hear my car as I approach and I could bet money that when I arrive, he is bolting across the lawn, over the fence or from behind the shed to come and say hello. I didnt know where he lived until I posted on a neighbourhood Facebook page and found out that his home is 3 blocks away!! Wild! I love Archie

I had to train my cats to come in before dark due to so many predators in my area. It worked: they come in for dinner and then go to bed for the night.

How did you train them? I'm planning to get a cat this summer but the idea of them staying out all night worries me!

I do the same although my male tends to stay out later. I cannot sleep or rest until all 3 are I for the night. Like clockwork they are meowing in my ear between 5 and 7 every morning to be let out for the day.

How? I have a dominant female. Who always want to go out but i live in a block and don't have a cat flap. So i spent many a nights walking around at 11pm calling her.

@@charly.s96, I apologize for not responding sooner. Depending on the time of year i personally don't feed them after a certain time. This time of year not padt 2 PM and normalky arond dark or an hour after they are ready for dinner. When they are in I don't let them back out until morning. It works for me

Although my cats don't get as much exercise, they are safe from harm from diseases and accidents. That puts my heart at ease and protects what I love. I guess not everyone sees it that way...

My cats have always gone outside and not once have any of them ever gotten a disease. When they eat at home they avoid some diseases. I also break up cat fights by chanting next to them. If I get there soon enough I will grab one of them and bring them in my house for awhile. It is usually about food. One cat I fed for ten years and when a big grey cat started coming around to eat it became a fight for who got to stay.

I absolutely loved this. That they put cameras on some cats, if only they showed more of the camera action from their travels. But the data collected on their paths and territory was very interesting. And I never knew they couldn't see red! Pretty cool, thanks 🐾

Lol I have attached camera to my cats and there's sometimes they were just stalking neighbors till they left and then go up to there house and cause mischief and then other times were just doing things that I won't put on here, but oets just say some things that cats do is self incriminating and better off not seen . But still agree with you that we all could see more of there regular non trouble adventure.

@@julybliss4440 ohh I believe you, if the way they sneak and act in the house is any snippet of them outside and free then I would imagine the mischief they can get themselves into..

I want to come back as a cat.......no work, just eat, sleep and hunt.....and the other thing 9 lives is a treat

23:33 to the people caring for these cats, you are truly my hero, I have come off an excrutating few days of watching the bs going on in the UKR and it is a blessing to remember that humanity is made to be kind and loving

My feral cats adapted wonderfully indoors. I fed them for a couple of years near my job, they are happy indoors and not once have they tried to run out the door. The one has FiV probably from a fight when he was a street cat. If I didn’t take him in he would have probably suffered a horrible death. Every place is different, I personally wouldn’t want to risk my cat being killed by a car or a hawk, or poisoned by car haters. My cats also love each other, they are all males.

I care for the homeless cats in my neighborhood. I have an out outbuilding with several individual areas with blankets and heating pads. Plus, i have an electric heater in there. It stays pretty comfortable in the winter time. All the cats get spayed or neutered and vaccinated. In combination with all the food, we spend quite a lot on cats. But I love them dearly, and I'm a firm believer in spaying and neutering. Several litters have been born in that outbuilding by new cats that came here already pregnant. I've had to find homes for many kittens. A handful still live here and make up the majority of the group.

This is the kind of scientific research I fully support! Wiemer by the way is one of the most interesting cities in Germany, many buildings and gardens landscapes designed by Goethe, with a retirement community far superior to anything in the states.

We had a female gray tabby that lived to 19 years in Pasadena, TX - the most populous adjoining suburb of Houston, TX (the 4th most populous city in the U.S.A). She would ALWAYS look left and right before deciding to cross streets. We would see her quite a distance away from our house, having crossed several busy streets. She was very tiny, but very smart and very healthy. Her name was Tiger Lily, or Lily, for short.

Live in Houston myself. To afraid to let my fur baby out. He's a big boy but he is a bully so I don't want him getting in fights or getting hit by a car cause the way ppl drive around here 🤣

We live on a one way street & my old boy knows which way to look when he goes to visit one of the neighbours. They're the one who noticed that he looks in the direction traffic is coming. They're way more intelligent than we give them credit for, I think. 😺

I loved this! Cats are so interesting! Id like to see more footage! I got a lot of laughs from this ...from the owners cluelessness over their cats ventures and activities outside..to the vet calling out their nacissism! 😂

My grandma used to have a cat that will hang out with neighbors’ cats and visit neighbors everyday as her daily routine. Until now everyone still misses that cat. Her name is Kathy ❤

When I was a kid in the early 80's we had a male cat that would disappear for weeks on end (not neutered. Fixing your animals wasn't really a thing back then). My mother would be coming home from work and see him when she stopped at a light 2 miles from our home. He'd be sitting on the corner. She'd open the passenger door and he'd jump into the car. It became a routine. When he was done roaming and didn't feel like walking 2 miles, he'd just wait for her on the corner at 2:30pm. He also used to bring home girlfriends, always a different cat. My mother would wake up for work at 3:30am and find a second cat waiting in the kitchen. After they ate, they'd leave and we'd never see her again and he'd come back a week or two later.

Rudy is an older chubbier version of my one year old Luntik. Their faces are practically identical 🥹 I feel like I’m watching my cat on his own adventures.

white cat at 36:00 is identical to my childhood cat Mozart. He had one green eye and one blue eye which I loved. He was a big cat. He made it to 19. I thought I would never have a pet that lived longer until I had a chiweenie that lived a mind boggling 22.5 years. Was devestating to lose her. Her brother “only” made it to 17. Women always live longer. lol

I'm not even a cat person but I can't stop watching this LOL.😅

My cat sleeps with me every night. Follow me everywhere and hangs out under my couch when I'm gone. He's more predictable than any dog I've ever owned. He's technically a kitten under a year old. Maybe a couple months old. I've built him a comfortable routine and given him his space. Mi casa es su casa.

My father grew up in Whiting, IN on Wolf lake. His cat, "Felix" liked to roam the railroad tracks on the shore of the lake. One evening, Felix did not come home for supper. The next morning, he'd still not come home. My Dad got worried about him and went searching for him on the shore of the lake. He found him lying on the railroad tracks. Some horrible person had shot Felix in the head with a .22 caliber bullet. 😥
