Two abandoned babies ? 🧐

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Remember how much Nova hated the community babysitting service - now it's time to embrace it !

    The comparison between the 2 groups of monkeys: short and long tail macaws and their eating habits is interesting. Personally I like this group better. They do seem to increase their eating but judiciously. It's amazing. Of course the fact that the "meals on wheels" personnel are providing more fruits and vegetables is a bonus. Better diet, healthier babies, and better breast milk. Once again, Thanks Arroz for your dedication. It's opened a whole new world to ne.

    When they are juveniles they get tons of treats they are always in front. When they get to be a young adult it’s just the way it should be So it’s their time to figure out how to live without all the handouts so they will be ready when they are tossed out of the group. It’s sad but it does get them prepared .

    Oh, let me answer... They forage for food and the right nutrients, they stand guard, for meals on wheels or danger, mothers, nurse and watch and teach them, family ladies babysit, they socialize, different ages, for different reasons, they also look for a mate to mate. They sleep and rest... I don't know if they have to find place to sleep, or if they sleep in same tree or area, in a group is there a pecking order for that? That's my little take on wh5 do they do. 🐒

You can even hear the man with her. I think a camera man crying hard as well. I thought these people were heartless. I still don't agree with them dumping their pet. But for whatever reason they did they were not cold hearted about it. Search for ( hardly leave her lovely one to live as wildlife.) Heartbreaking

    Arroz I was wondering, why are the monkeys here so mellow and easy going. I used to think all monkeys were kinda just crazy and unpredictable. I watch the LTM in Cambodia around the Temples and I used to really love watching them. It seems now I am just paying for their torture when I watch. I wish I knew who was a reputable VO that stays away from hurting them. I come to your channel when watching Rhesus macaques. I thank you for keeping their best interest at heart. Lately I have been seeing a few videos of Rhesus macaques and I don't know the location, but I have seen babies that look like they been in a boxing ring. I have hardly ever seen anything remotely like this at monkey hill. Videos of babies being thrown and hurt by the older ones. Where is this place? Why is this happening?

    8:14 Why would mom hold the kid against going to play in order to wean it? Isn't the problem that these mothers bore the hell out of the kids making them sit by the roadside for food instead of playing in the trees all day and going to monkey home school with the moms? 11:20 how difficult she is to restrain? what monkey mom restrains their kid in the wild? The kids beg for milk because they are restrained with nothing else to do and the illiterate moms don't teach them how to talk, make tools, open stuff, nothing. Just sit. You want them to not beg for milk, let them go play. Oh that's right, this is the hood, more than 2ft away from mom is dangerous. This is so screwed up. 13:50 Rank has nothing to do with it, other than she's even more maleducated than the rest. No, she's been held by her tail in a 2ft diameter circle for 9 months and doesn't know how to play or even climb right. I bet not a single one of these yearlings could sit on the side of a vertical tree using just their feet while using hands to do other things. They should not be using hands to hold onto branches, even vertical ones, when not in motion.

  • @leslie6938

    @leslie6938

    Жыл бұрын

    The baby isn’t being held/restrained by her mother, she’s in the arms of a babysitter. The mom is having the baby babysat so the baby won’t keep asking for milk. It’s not uncommon for moms to do this while weaning. Another way troop members sometimes help during weaning is when older siblings or friends will play with a baby to distract it from the milk bar. Helps baby and gives mom a break from all the pestering.

    I'm not going to lie, to me there's something satisfying about infant monkeys being abused. I've never had violent tendencies towards animals or people at all. I fully recognize how strange and frankly gross these weird feelings are. I made a conscious decision to not watch any videos of infant monkey suffering due to the simple fact that I'm fully aware that these feelings are in no way healthy or productive. I'm sure people will say this says something about me as a person, but as I said, I've never had any feelings like this before. I only discovered this recently by seeing KZread videos, then discovering it's a huge community. The fact that I harbor these feelings is disturbing, as it should be to anyone with a conscious who isn't a complete sociopath. I have never felt any desire to harm any living thing! For the most part, I've always considered myself an average, caring human being. I find this very strange, so I've done some research and I'm floored at how common this is! It seems to be specific to infant monkeys in particular. In my opinion, professional psychologists should look into what is behind this strange phenomenon of people who harbor these feelings towards only infant monkeys in particular, but are otherwise average, normal people that have no other sadistic thoughts or behavior. The fact that I acknowledge that these are disturbing feelings and I in no way endorse any animal cruelty should discourage people from making rude, judgemental comments. I admit this because it's just the truth and I'd like to get some insight on why I harbor these gross feelings, because I'm not comfortable with them as a person. If we're going to get to the bottom of any issue, we have to be honest about said issue.

    I hope it won't become something like the Japanese soldiers bayoneting babies for fun in their occupied territories during WWII. To them, in their testimonies after the war ended they said it was instinctual to torture as most of their peers took pleasure doing so as they had all been brainwashed to look at non-Japanese people as vermin or cockroaches.

    @@ArrozMarisco360 To clarify, I truly believe if an infant monkey was in my presence, my instinct would be to care for it. I've never felt any desire to harm any living thing, that's my whole point. What is it about vids in which infant monkeys are abused by adult monkeys. I don't watch any, but I never enjoyed the ones in which humans mistreat them. It's depressing to think people can be so cruel. Just the fact that there's so many vids of these infants being abused, with so many views and likes, I just find it so strange, not to mention the comment section. I can't help but wonder, why these animals as infants in particular. I think it may have something to do with their behavior. Don't get me wrong, I understand they are simply behaving naturally, 'm not suggesting that as a justification.

    So rude! This man spends enormous time, cost and effort to share the fascinating, entertaining world of these wild animals with us, for FREE. His knowledge of individuals, families, and the species overall is phenomenal. Think about what it must be like to lug all that equipment around, to film these incredibly nimble animals as they scamper around in 180 degrees, often in very uncomfortable weather. It’s got to be pretty uncomfortable and tiring. This Hong Kong reserve is unique, unlike anywhere else on the planet. We are beyond lucky that this channel exists. Your ingratitude is mind boggling.

    @@BigBaller-he1dz Of course he has the right to comment and I never said otherwise. Please feel free to re-read my comment to understand my point, if you wish. The last paragraph and the last sentence in particular sum it up, and the rest provides supporting detail. I pity people who focus on finding fault instead of appreciating the wonderfully unique and free gift they've been given.

    The abandoned babies are Jodi and Nova... they’re not with their moms. That “c” word never applies to Arroz!
