That made me laugh when that male was giving Dopey the evil eye and Dopey, instead of running completely away, sat there, looking back at him as if to say, “Yeah, yeah we know you’re a big deal but ima stay right here.”🤣😂👏

You have a talent for touching the heart, for replacing grim reality of life with its viruses, riots, & harshness with stories of cute little monkeys. We get transported to a hill on the other side of the world to watch a sweet baby grow up. His life has become important , to those like me who saw the similarities to our own species, but still celebrate & cherish the differences. I am grateful for this glimpse of our boy living his life. That is success, & it gives me hope for the rest of us. Thank you for being so good at telling stories, & for generously sharing them! I am looking forward to the next chapter!

Well said. I too truly enjoyed watching them grow up, and the VO really did an outstanding job of bringing us to them.

I am so glad you were able to find him and Buddy in their bachelor troop. And the montage at the end of the video of one of the most memorable babies of Monkey Hill. I think Dopey and his mom Reddy captured so many hearts over the years. Thank you for sharing with us his journey from klutzy baby to agile and confident young adult. Long live Dopey and all the monkeys of Monkey Hill.

Arroz, thank you so much for taking us through the years of one of our most favorite 😍 and adorable baby's ever ❤️. It is so good to see him again. Long over due. And who could forget that mischievous face and eyes !! He was always so fun to watch. Please keep up with him for us in the future. It would be sad to really never see him again. OMG I nearly cried! Dopey has been such a huge character in this story. Then one day he was just gone. I didnt think I'd ever see him again. I hope he becomes an alpha and gets his own heirum of females! I really hope we can continue to see him on the regular. Thanx Arroz!!! So much.

Gloria Brawldy I remember watching intense moments right after his birth and wondering if he was ever going to be right. He had a pretty wobbly start. They become like family just watching them in videos. 😁

Gloria, I also started watching these videos when I came upon Reddy and that adorable baby Dopey. He was so small,so clumsy. And those eyes. She raised him with such love and patience. Sometimes I wondered if he was going to survive. Mom had lost a couple baby's before him. But slowly he started to blossom. And he turned into such a nice young man. But oh those days when he was so small and adorable. I can't believe he is 4yrs. Old.

Dopey is still very aware of his surroundings, like Reddy taught him to be. I thought just like you that he took to the leaf to hide his potato pouches. Sad to think he is so low ranking. But, Dopey will survive, he always has.

Very true. I found out about this channel 2 weeks ago (not even knowing the appreciation and love I feel towards monkeys). This content has changed me. It sounds melodramatic but I had no idea I could be so enamored by a single species. Beautiful beautiful beings.

Watching your videos, I just think "thank you". You show their life and don't sensationalize the nursing, dragging, falling from heights etc for the freaks who "get off" on cruelty and just focus on that, and, oh god, the vos that discovered slow mo and show it over and over. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being so kind, informative, witty, funny and loving.

You know u wish to see ur favorite monkeys 4ever but also u know the males have to leave at some point. Dopey has always had a special place in mine and probably all of our hearts. It's so amazing to see him. Looking healthy although maybe a bit skinnier than were used to seeing. Thank u Arroz for searching for him. I know he means so much to u as well. I'm sure more than any of ur subscribers seeing how u have been there actually with him his whole life. Must be kinda like having a child leave for the Army or college or something similar to that. We've watched him grow thru ur camera lens into a handsome young man. I hope becuz he has such a close relationship to his mom that he will be allowed to come back from time to time to visit. A lovely tribute and send off for Dopey. Like you, I think Dopey will be a great Alpha someday, if he can survive a few years as a bachelor. He is smart and handsome so all the girls will surely be enamored of him. He is a bit of a rascal which is always a plus when you want to be the top dog! He was such a cute little guy and so full of life. I am hopeful that you will see him around sometimes. There are so many from that 2016 crop of babies who are gone already and we don't get to see them anymore. It is hard to believe how fast those years went by. i remeber watching the first videos you posted of Batty to begin with then this lil devil named Dopey came along and it was game over for me! I've watched every video you've put out since then! I'm so glad like Batty is together with Spocky that at least Dopey has Buddy with him!! May all of our boys live long and prosper!!!

Dear Arros, Your beautifully told stories of these amazing monkeys have touched my heart so deeply. The story of Dopey reminds me of my son Michael. Always charming & funny with such wit. To watch Dopey & his shenanigans, is priceless. My son Michael was high functioning autistic. We lost him to suicide 10 years ago at the age of 26. I started to surf the net looking for something to fill a very big hole in my heart. Since then my 2 other sons have wonderful lives, however I too re-married 3 years ago, & have a wonderful very supportive new husband. I still have though empty nest so badly. My new marriage has taken me far across the country away from my sons. Watching your videos has been enchanting & fills alot of the emptiness I feel for my boys. The stories & watching these guys grow-up like Buddy & Dopey make me realize I must have done a good job raising them as I watch their families grow. The fact they no longer live with me makes sense in realizing that was my job all along. To raise them to be happy, independent & responsible which they are. Even though Michael never left us a note, & we will never quite know why he left us, it just doesn't seem important anymore. What has become important is the life he lead. All the amazing memories that he left us with. Now I am more at peace since watching your videos. It has made me look at life with a whole new perceptive. Thank you for sharing all your amazing videos & the job you do bringing them all to life!! They have changed my life in the best way possible. Thank you so very much for sharing!!

I prayed that we would see our Dopey-baby -err- Dopey BIG boy, again, and that he will be in good shape! Not only is he in good shape, but he looks GREAT, AND he got goodies from an old friend, too! It seems as though you and Dopey were really meant to be. I can only imagine how special seeing him must have felt! I have been a daily viewer of yours since I stumbled onto your first videos of both Dopey and Baty as newborns, when their legs didnt work. I love Monkey Hill and still hope to visit. I, Iike other viewers, admire your dedication and passion and thank you for sharing with us. I watch so many BBC, NG, Disney, etc movies/docs on animals. I have to say they should contact you or vice versa because your footage could make for some great documentaries! I love the stories and how you tell them. Wow i am amazed at your vids, been watching for about 6 months and of course you have made dopey one of my favs. I was so happy to see him since he left , i wasnt sure if we ever would. I know this is an old video and comment may not even be seen A.M. But I just wanted to say that I have been watching your videos since Dopeys burth year. He was the little baby that caught my eye and that I fell in love with watching. Through all his growing and exploits I watched intently and couldn't wait for the newest video of yours to come out. Your channel got me watching and paying attention to monkeys and apes which I've always loved. But your channel opened up a whole new world to me and I have learned so much it would be hard to regurgitate it all back to someone. I now have an absolute monkey obsession and crave learning more and more. But it all goes back to you and Dopey! Thank you so much for that and I still love your channel and its my favorite one to watch to this day. As well as Rhesus Macaques over all other monkeys I watch. Its been wonderful watching your channel grow and I have so much respect for your method of catching their story and journey and the passion you have for them as well. Tiny, Teenie and Kailey are among my other favorites with the sadness of Kailey and story of Charlotte as well.
