The thing is, I wasn't talking about the "mentally deranged" part when I used the Netflix serial killer analogy, I used the analogy to show that people obsessing over a guy in the form of a documentary is nothing new. It is a double standard that some biographic Netflix documentaries on people (both living and dead) are considered "informative" while this Chris Chan one is considered "obsessive". We also need to keep In mind that Christine has put everything about herself and her life out on the internet for YEARS all by herself, this isn't some rando that doesn't want to be seen or harrased by the internet, this is a person that is actively putting everything about themselves on the internet and constantly interacts with the people that are harassing them. Chris has also been asked about her thoughts on Christory and she doesn't even seem to mind (she even attended a Magfest panel that specifically talked about Christory and the trolling). My point is that the documentary is harmless and simply tells us the story of Chris Chan. The guy that makes the documentary has no control over how nasty people can be towards Chris and he also has no control over what Chris puts on the internet (which is the main cause of her harassment) he just tells the facts and has made some pretty well made videos out of it.

I refuse to believe Chris Chan can easily escape like that. But if this true, holy shit! Sleep thight Virginians. Lock your doors.

I completely agree with the person defending the Chris Chan series. There's literally so much out there and he's essentially just reading it off as neutral and respectful as he can. Not giving any opinions. People who complain about the size of the series are the same kind of people who complain about video length. It's a subject and sometimes it needs to be gone as in depth as possible with some entertainment factor.

The person who got mad at Geno’s docuseries was hilarious because their argument was pretty much summed up to “I don’t like how this individual presented the objective facts of this widely discussed individual’s life!! They should have done more to spin a shallow narrative instead of forcing me to make my own conclusions on the situation!!!“ Another thing that irked me is the comparisons to the Truman show, a movie where the main character IS FORCED from childhood to have every aspect of their life controlled and put on display for entertainment. Chris Chan on the other hand WILLINGLY UPLOADED THIS INFORMATION ONLINE!! And furthermore, the appeal of watching Geno’s series isn’t to stalk Chris’s life but to see all the different interactions he’s had, which brings out a lot of great discussions on morality about both Chris and all the trolls. It’s not the Truman Show, it’s simply an extremely in-depth insight into internet culture, attention seeking behavior and self-destruction, sadism, masochism, and so much more!! I just realized about the wording the tweet calling out the comprehensive series. they felt the need to clarify that they weren't defending chris chans actions, which any idiot can see you're not defending what he did. I literally got into an argument with someone yesterday who was accusing Mutahar of defending Kiwifarms when in the tweet in question, he only called out Keffals for how she's been using her platform, and didn't even mention the farms. These people are unhinged
