On one hand, being involved with this case would be absolute Hell, as there are thousands upon thousands of documents to get through to comprehend the full story. On the other hand, they've all be compiled into audiobook format... a *_43 hour_* audiobook, hey, that's easy-mode for law-school types. It could also just turn into a plea deal if they're able to convince Chris-chan, meaning no trial at all. Legally, if she consented and isn't legally declared incompetent it wouldn't be charged as rape. And it's good that it isn't because if they overcharge him he could be found not guilty by jury if they feel the charge of rape is not correct and he could be let off. However the lesser charge of incest would definitely be appropriate in a jury's eyes and therefore he would most likely be convicted of the lesser charge. It's for the same reason there are different degrees of murder. Charging someone for first degree murder when it was more along the lines of a second or third degree would likely end up with them being let off due to the charges not aligning with the situation of the crime. Chris most likely would be either charged with misdemeanor incest and released for time served, or it would be elevated to felony incest where he could face up to 10 years. My money says it will be the misdemeanor charge and probably sent off to an institution because you just know he's going to say some crazy shit in court. This saga is going to be tits!
