I don't think anyone else has mentioned this, but the founder of Voctave and the arranger of ALL of their songs is Jamey Ray, who is the second gentleman from the far left, singing tenor. He writes for each specific singer's voice, rather than a general "part", so he's really able to showcase the best out of every member of the group. Simply amazing!! LOVE your reactions/reviews -- it's nice to actually LEARN something while watching a video in the reaction genre.

The first song has the princess define herself entirely by her prince, the second song suggests that the princess & prince might define each other, the third & fourth songs speak to how a princess can define herself & in the last song the princess is already confident in who she is and instead asks us to look at how we define ourselves.

Most channels HAVE to do this due to copyright strikes. The videos have to be transformative. And so pauses are necessary.

I love that you're not only focus on the theoretical stuff.. We all want to hear you talk about that too. But for me a good reactor feels something and share he's feelings about that too.. I guess that many that is watching you just as me are or have done much of music themselves. But in the end what we all love beyond all the music and singing theory (that as I said we also want to hear about).. Is the music itself.. The feeling the singer makes and shares. The sound of their voices blending. The colour of pain, love, anger, tears.. What they bring in the voice.. Being a reactor that satifyes everyone is not easy. But it's not meant to be that or meant to satisfy everyone either.. I just want to say you're doing a great job.. Never stop being you.. Much love from Sweden /J

Voctave's entire body of work is outstanding, but as far as I'm concerned their masterwork thus far is their Prince of Egypt medley. They haven't done a video of it (yet! Hope they will!) but the audio is on KZread.

Great reaction.They take pride in NEVER using auto-tune and sounding live in concert almost exactly like they do when in studio! Anyone who has seen them live, to a person, say they sound super amazingly like their videos, Try their Great Movie Medley where they sing the songs to great movies,all John Williams pieces. And if you want to here some amazing man chops... Oh Come All Ye Faithful. The ending will drop your jaw! Kate Lott the soprano, has hit G6 , but arranger Jamey Ray doesn't write anything higher, because he doesn't want to push her ( even though she can go a little higher) .All of them are past and or current Voices of Liberty singers at Epcot!

30:22, I just noticed that the woman right next to the soubrette soprano also has her own impressive I know that comes right after Tiffany. I’ve never noticed it before, and no reactor ever talks about it. I think that that’s a great moment for them to do that one after the other.

loved your reaction! I am music teacher, so I understand the theoretical stuff, but I really enjoy the emotional connection... sometimes, musicians stop enjoying music, which is sad to me. Watching you enjoy Voctave was very satisfying... my brother was a musician and chef, and it was always fun to watch him enjoy a good rock and roll tune and a greasy burger - he didn't turn his nose up to just having fun...

As far as that dude down there \/, Scott Rogers, I think it's a fair assumption that his passive aggressiveness stems from having to make one too many sandwiches for his wife's boyfriend. Give a listen to some of Voctave's Christmas stuff...EJ Cardona, the tenor standing by the 1st soprano, Kate Lott (E6 in her sleep) get showcased, and is a one-man lesson in breath control. Well worth a look for the vocally-minded.

Please react to The Human Abstract's album Digital Veil! It's one of the best progressive metal albums in existence, and there are almost NO reactions anywhere for it! If you want a recommendation, I would say start with Complex Terms, and continue sequentially if you like it. The first track on Digital Veil is just an instrumental intro, and you can probably do it alongside another song, in one video. Anyway please check them out! They deserve it!

I just subscribed and was looking through your back catalogue and noticed that its been a year since you looked at anything from Sohyang. I suggest you look at her again.
