Melissa can't handle tornados, but she can handle vampires. Which is an entirely different suck zone.😁

Over 25 years old and I remember my dad had it on VHS and watching it with him all the time. Such good times

I think i mentioned this during the lost boys reaction but its bananas that Jami Gertz is now a multi-billionaire. She is part owner of the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bewers. 🤯

I grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma. The one thing this film actually gets right is that it can go from a clear, sunny day with blue skies to almost pitch black and chaotic within just a few minutes. Tornadoes sound like freight trains, and when you're sitting in a storm shelter waiting for the storm to pass, those minutes you spend worrying if your house will still be there are very tense.

The cow landed at Aunt May's, that's how she got all that beef lol

The cow lived but gave curdled milk the rest of it's life.

This and Dante's Peak are my two favorite 'natural disaster ' movies.

I remember watching this in theaters because the roof was leaky and it dripped on a woman around the time when the outdoor theater gets destroyed. Her scream scared a lot of people in the theater. But it did make them fix the roof!

The cow survived, but had PTSD (Post Tornado Stress Disorder) and gave sour milk after that. The movie also had a great Shania Twain video..

30+ year storm chaser here; terrain doesn't stop tornadoes; have seen damage paths climb a 3K ft hill, drop to the valley floor on the other side, and back up the next hill.

The fact that you watched this and the Twisters trailer released yesterday is impeccable.

Still have my VHS in a display case along with an original DVD. Twister never gets old. Now a sequel... "it's already here." I could watch this classic anytime & not get bored being a trained storm chaser for the National Weather service in Texas.

The Dustman is a great character, he was the first one to try to comfort Melissa after the truck lands in front of her.

Loved this movie growing up. It wasn't until about a year ago that I realized that the actress that plays Melissa is the same actress that played Star in the Lost Boys.
