Nothing compares to the Music of the 1980's......There is NOTHING today that can even hold a candle to the music of that time period.

Matthias Jabs is the lead guitarist and Rudolf Schenker is on rhythm guitar. They switch out on some songs, but are equally good. They're still recording and touring with some members in their mid 70's and killing it!!🤘

I know there's still hope when two young boys like you get so deep into the Golden Age of Rock. This song came out when I was 17. I'm 54 now and it still sounds as awesome as the first time. Keep rocking, guys. Never lose the good taste and the capacity of appreciation for good music. It only takes a seed for a new garden to grow.

Saw the Scorpions in like 1982 on the Blackout tour… awesome! They’re a German band. Mathias Jabs is on lead guitar. The rhythm guitarist is Rudolf Schenker who is a great rhythm guitarist but solos are not his strong point. His brother Michael Schenker who played on a couple of Scorpions albums (most notably the Lovedrive album) is a guitar god who played in UFO and his own band Michael Schenker Group. Their original lead guitarist is another underground god named Uli Jon Roth. Check out Sails of Charon for Uli Jon Scorps and Another Piece of Meat for Michael Schenker Scorps. You can thank me later. 😎

This album came out when I was in high school 1980-1984, total rocker! Check out The Zoo from Animal Magnatism, also Blackout! They've been around since the 60's I believe! A great live band as well! Klaus Meine is a tiny man, but a huge voice, Rudolph Schenker-guitars, Matthias Jabs-lead guitar, Francis Bucholz-bass, Herman Rarebell-drums! Great band from Germany!

I love to see young ppl enjoying "our" music. When my older boys were little, like 6 and 7, that summer when their dad was really sick. We would take 'midnight AC/DC soda runs" to relax and just be. We lived in the country then. At about 9:30 pm they would be in there pajamas. I would yell 'SODA RUN' they would come flying out of the room grabbing slippers and robes. The boys and i would head the 20 minutes into the next town over. The only convenience store that stayed open past 10. They had a deal that after 10 fountain sodas where a quarter for smalls and mediums, 50 cents for a large. So we would go in windows down with what selection of metal cassette i picked out of the case. it was a choice of AC/DC, Def Leppard, Poison, Scorpion, Metallica, Ozzie, Twisted Sister and the like. We would blast the speakers and head bang the whole way there and back. It was our way of letting off stress and steam. And 9 times out of 10 there would be motorcyclists there at the same time. My #2 had a thing for Harleys. Even before he was born if i heard a Harley he would be rolling in there to wear i could feel him being excited. Even after he came out that sound was his favorite..he's 35 and still...but 5 kids...cant do it ..but he wants too! Music has a way of pulling those wonderful memories back. I Sure negative rhings happened to those songs as well..but all my brain remembers is the good ones. I worked full time, were always broke and had a husband and my sons father dying so those moments of abandon, screaming out the words, music blocking out any negativity our brains tried to think! It truly was a Wonderful experience those nights of "Midnight AC/DC soda runs".

Music videos were a huge deal for bands in the '80's, MTV and all, a good video could take a band to arena level and record companies spent mad money producing them, biggest part of the band marketing budget at the time. Rhythm guitarist Rudolph Schenker (guy with the V guitar) wrote most of their biggest hits during this era, Mathias Jabs is the lead guitarist with the striped explorer guitar. Scorpions basically put Germany on the rock and roll map, most bands from Germany during that era were new wave and electronic synth based groups like Kraftwerk.

Scorpions came out of Hanover, Germany in 1965 and peaked in the 80s. Greatest rock band in an era of great rock bands. I don't understand how music like this ever became old and fell off the charts in favor of shit like Taylor Swift and now no one today listens to it or hears of it unless they're doing a retro show or a react vid like this one.

Hey, Twins. I stumbled across your channel today looking for reactions to Rush. Very good reactions. One thing... You ask if the song is playlist worthy, you need to think about playlists differently. 1. Playlists for you to keep track of which songs you've reacted to from different bands. 2. Playlists for people like me who recently discovered your channel, so we can binge on reactions to our favorite bands. Looking forward to more reactions from you.

  • @randycomerford2038

I really like your reactions cause most people your age are into either pop or hip hop, which are all auto tuned and no feel or soul, or talent to be honest with you. Keep up the good music, and if I might add a suggestion, dive into some harder and heavier rock...cause I really think you'll appreciate the real talent that's involved in it....rock on guys.

I just started watching your reactions videos it is 01-26-2024 Friday night. I had lot of records over my early younger years, not no more it's KZread to find them and listen to them. when I was young back in the 1970's early 1980's I seen 11 live rock and roll concerts. work 60 hours weekend going to concert the pay was awful back in the 1970's and early 1980's. But I bought lots of record albums life changes. thanks for choosing this great rock and roll band to react to. and delay Happy New Year 2024.

I see that you listened to this song 10 months ago (& you may have already - probably put it on your playlist.) I am not sure how much you have paid attention to the song since then (or the video), but I think it was Lucas? that asked if there was any reason for the images in the video or whether it was just creative. It WAS creative - VERY creative - in the way that the whole VERY, VERY dirty song conveyed sex. (You should either have hidden that cross around your neck or held it out in front of you, Samuel!) I believe it was Samuel who raised his eyebrow at the reference to "inches" in the song - yup, you were right to - that's all I'm going to say. He referred to himself as a wolf, a hunter & being "hungry". The wild cats & the woman in cat costume were no mistake either another name for a particular part of a female - isn't EXACTLY cat, but ...Then there is THE CIRCLE that they are INSIDE OF "performing" in - with the SIDES of the circle being rocked back & forth - again that is to refer very visibly to a particular activity etc., etc.

Back in the late 70's and into the early 90's music videos did not have a theme. They were just creative. It was all about the music not the visuals. Music videos did not exist before MTV was started. So every thing you see that was filmed before that time was live music being filmed while it was happening. There was also no such thing as Auto Tune until the 90's. So yes everyone before then was actually that talented.

The video was just an idea I think, not anything specific..the 80's and early 90's was the time of MTV and I mean actual music videos not this nonsense crap it is now lol. A bands video was almost as important as the new song it released, that's what a huge impact MTV use to have.
