Twin Waves ~ fat digital analog

The Klavis Twin Waves is a module I really hesitated to buy several times, because I don't really like the optics and the fact that it is so "digital". However, this little 8HP bad boy (slaps roof of rack) gives you two independent, multi wave VCOs, one squarewave sub octave, and lots of modulation and FM (and an LFO and a quantizer) - plenty of goodness!
The patch uses Alan and Enigma from ALA to create melodies with the two VCOs from TwinWaves. They are mixed together in the Waver from Bastl which adds some of its own overtones. The rest of the patch is replacable standard stuff, filters, envelopes, you name it. Strymon Flints adds the final touch of reverb to the mix.

I love twin waves. It's a great module. It usually finds its way into many of my patches and finished tracks. Even better when you start adding modulations to it.

Yeah it is solid. For only 8hp you get very much out of it. The design is... a matter of taste.

@@synthesizer83 Its sound and versatility are just awesome. If it was about optics, I wouldn't have bought anything from DOEPFER to begin with 🙂 I like the Twin Waves look a lot, especially with other KLAVIS modules installed next to it. And all KLAVIS modules are said to be available in black, too, by the end of 2023.
