That's because Stephanie Meyers, the author, is a raging Mormon weirdo who was insistent that all her characters be leeched of color. Even adding Laurent, I think that was his name, the black vampire in books 1 and 2 became a chore because she wanted all her vamps to be translucent.

All 4 of the movies have some sort of cold shade filter on, Actually. I believe you can find clips of the movie with normal coloration here in KZread, but it's basically like when they want to portrait Mexico in movies and everything looks yellow. This is commonly known as 'The Twilight filter' since the movies came out

The dad is my favorite character. He was the only character that was actually realistic, and acted better then most in the movie. He saw through Edward's bs, and felt bella could have gone with someone better which I totally agree with. Edward was toxic. He even was trying to get her to make new friends, and hang out with them because she was around edward constantly. She had like no social life or any other relations besides the Cullen clan, and Jacob. She couldn't completely have a normal human teenage life. At the beginning yes she did have highschool friends, but because of edward she got pulled away from them.

In Biology we had a sub, who also happened to be the guidance counselor, and she put on twilight and had us write down all the toxic relationships in it. We spent an entire class just roasting the absolute crap out of it😂

what i dont understand about the movie: 1. how bella fell so deeply in love with a boy who she's known for like... one week? 2. the way bella acts. she's always huffing, and puffing, twitching awkwardly, always looks down and sighs whenever she's face to face and close with someone. 3. how bella was immune to almost every single special vampire power (like edward's mind reading or aro's mind reading by physical touch), but not alice's future telling or jasper's mood controlling, or even renesmee's memory recalling skill. 4. why james, laurent, and victoria were trying to kill bella to begin with. 5. why the filter of the entire movie, was blue. 6. why mike kept trying to shoot his shot. 7. why everyone was so obsessed with bella when she first got here. 8. why bella hesitated to marry edward, but was ready to commit suicide for him on multiple different occasions. 9. how the heck was edward able to get bella pregnant? 10. what was the point of jacob telling charlie he's a werewolf? after he exposed himself, he still didnt explain to charlie what happened to bella, making his whole reveal, as completely useless.

Okay I am answering The movies are DISGUSTING. 1. She didn't fall in love in a week. It was 3 months. He saved her life twice at that point. So I think it's pretty natural for a 17 year old girl. 2. Very very bad acting. Book Bella didn't do any of these. She was just introverted, headstrong and clumsy. That's why she didn't like attention, like what if she falls on her face in front of everyone. She also wasn't verbose, just like her father. She could read people well. That's why her only two best friends were Angela and Jacob, who were actually kind. 3. Bella has a gift called "Mental Shield". She blocks purely mental supernatural powers. Not physical ones. Alice and Jasper have physical powers. They see and can really change things. And Renesme has just flipped both of her parents' powers. 5. Trash movie. Anyways I guess it's because the Location was Forks. 6. Mike had a crush on her. 7. In Edward's own words, it was like showing a baby a shiny new toy. Bella was pretty, too. Also, a small town school hehe 8. Bella actually wanted to avoid the obvious cringe , "Getting married at 18 right after high school!". But she loved him nonetheless. 9. Edward had sperms...I guess 😐 10. Only one rule in Vampire world: Keep your existence a SECRET. If a vampire exposed his identity to a human, both would be executed by the Volturi. Charlie was desperate to meet his daughter Bella but she wasn't being able to find a way to keep him in her life. So Jacob helped. He showed his own identity. By that, Charlie understood that there are supernatural beings in this world, too and his daughter has become one of them . Thus Both Bella and Charlie didn't have to break the vampire world rule and they could stay alive

1. I know she didn't fall in love with Edward in an actual week, it was just a hyperbole because she fell in love with him pretty quickly. And 3 months is still too quick to fall in love for someone and as someone who's 16, I can say that it's still ridiculous even if you're 16 or 17 years old. 3. Not a good explanation. Alice and Jasper have mental abilities too because they just need their mind in order to change people's emotions or see the future. They can stand still, not touch anything and still be able to do it. What's physical about that? 6. Yeah, obviously Mike had a crush on her but my point was why he keeps pushing it after all the hints Bella dropped about not being into him. 8. Worrying about what other normal people would think about you getting married at 18 years old is also still absurd when you were almost committed su!cide several times for someone. Like, Bella is okay with putting herself in near death positions for Edward, but people judging her for getting married at 18 is too much? 9. My question was why he was able to get her pregnant. Why would a vampire (who's essentially a walking corpse) be able to produce sperm to begin with?

My mom read the Twilight novels (though I don't know if she watched the movies). She said that she prefers Jacob over Edward in terms of appearance. I'm inclined to agree with her.

What if he was just like: uh, yeah. I'm a vampire. Just to romance her. But on another note, this reminded me of gravity falls when dipper thought Mabel's boyfriend was a vampire, which she got excited about until he confessed to actually being a bunch of gnomes

Hands down the best character of this movie was the dad. I mean, imagine a story of a distant little town's police chief trying to hunt down evil, blood-sucking undead and uncover the mystery of how and why they kill people, aided by a group of his longtime friends who secretly are a pack of werewolves. They really put the wrong character in the center of the story.

I literally came out of our bathroom and told my gf not to go in there for it feels like Mordor. This woman is a keeper ❤️

Bella: "I don't really like the rain. Any cold, wet thing..." Also Bella: falls in love with a vampire whose skin is ice-cold

This movie, and probably the whole series, would have been an absolute masterpiece if it was from the perspective of its best character: *BELLA'S DAD.* No, seriously, Charlie has a somewhat estranged teenage daughter moving back in with him, and almost immediately things seem off. New friends, new boyfriend, she's acting odd and sneaking off, and she keeps getting injured in weird ways. This guy's a small town police chief, and he's made out to be the unobservant lackluster dad. Yeah, sure, teenagers be teenagering, but at a certain point he's going to start actually doing some detective work. I would much prefer a supernatural police procedural with Billy Burke as lead over… *this.*

This made me realize how Kristen Stewart sighs at EVERY. LINE. SHE SAYS

It's like... Everyone *except* the main characters are interesting. Imagine the story was about Bella's dad who discovers his best friend was a werewolf and the town doctor was a vampire. Similar story, but with no Edward/Bella romance. It would be SO much better.

The one good thing about this movie is Charlie's character and the fact that it made me appreciate Interview with a Vampire, The Vampire Diaries and the Originals EVEN MORE for being GOOD vampire stories. lol

It’s supposed to make it look cold. Like when the lights are dimmed it’s something romantic or whatever. The cold represents the whole “vampire/no soul” theme. Not saying it’s good just that it’s there
