I don’t understand why companies force them to loose weight like that. Not only is it extremely unhealthy and toxic but it will just make them weaker and preform worse than they normally would. Would you rather have a starving, weak, unhappy idol who can’t perform at her best or one who is at a healthy weight that is happy, strong, energetic and performing better? It just doesn’t make sense.

I just don’t understand why JYP hasn’t hired on dietitians and personal trainers for the girls from the get go since he’s so health conscious. He installed that organic cafe in the JYP building but bans the trainees from eating there instead of putting low-cal meals on the menu for them. If the trainees met with dietitians and were taught nutrition & weight management techniques instead of told “get to - kg or else” with no further instruction how they should, I think they’d all be in a much healthier mental place.

Can everybody notice how they were speaking freely and at 9:43 Momo looks beyond the camera, probably because she is being told that they are crossing the line of disclosure and should make it up, and then she suddenly starts saying how that way of training (I would say exploitation) was required and she doesn't mean to cover JYP because actually, that is what she is doing? I really think that it's the same problem with all other agencies as well. But I'm glad that TWICE was able to share all this information on Vlive and in the presence of their managers as well. All agencies like YG, SM, JYP, HYBE and others have this sort of weight loss rules but no-one was able to speak like this giving away all the details about their trainee life.

Not even borderline they were clearly abused during their trainee years, but as they are in that culture, in Korea, they are kinda laughing about it. You can see how much they hated the experience when they said they don't want their children to become trainee, talking about how they used to cry regularly during trainee days. Sadly it's still happening.

The non-purging type of bulimia equally ruins your life in the form of X and X. But it has to be consistent and over a long period of time, not trying to invalidate people who struggle with food that haven't reached an ED, but if you just do one of the X's once or twice that doesn't mean you have an ed. This honestly brought tears to my eyes. The way these companies don't even consider the mental and emotional strain they put on extremely young and impressionable kids is quite infuriating. These kids were wayyyy too young to even think rationally! All they wanted was to be a star like their favourite idol. So much so that they would starve themselves for days on end and afraid that they might not wake up in the morning because they're so weak and frail. What could it have cost for the ADULTS to properly monitor their nutrition and exercising regimes in a healthy way? Nothing! This is borderline abuse and yes, bad things in life make you stronger, but at what cost?? They debuted and became wildly successful and I adore each and every one of them, but to go through something as terrible as that is just horrific to me I'm sorry. Having to hide and secretly eat food, Momo nearly starving to death, Sana fainting, Jihyo not even feeling joy when she was selected for TWICE and wondering if all that suffering was worth it. It's just too painful for me to grasp as a ONCE that these people that I admire had to endure such hardships. I just want them to be protected and healthy! On the plus side, they do seem a lot happier now and they have a lot of fans who support them and wish them well. Like us here in the comment section. I just wish that they continue to be healthy and strong and live their lives with bright smiles on their faces and always be the beautiful, talented, strong and amazingly resilient young women that they are.

it's not worth it, at all. and they or many people are still praising that so-called weight loss journey. stop, just stop. i mean of course their efforts & struggles are extremely respectable, but dont endorse this sort of torture anymore by taking this lightly (i really couldn't laugh like them after hearing Momo's story) or with a praising attitude "strong will" or whatever. it's nothing to be proud of or grateful for. these companies are literally killing people, but of course they won't care even if one or two trainees die because they never treat them as humans, they are just dispensable properties/money making machines to the company.

The manager’s afraid the general public will criticize the girls for talking about their traumatizing experiences, but everyone, especially those who bully idols over visuals / weight, should hear the process that was required to meet their unrealistic expectations.
