“When We Were Kids” is played approximately 3 minutes before an Outbound Muni Metro arrives at Embarcadero, Montgomery, or Powell stations for the following Metro lines: K Ingleside (To Balboa Park), M Ocean View (To Balboa Park), N Judah (To Ocean Beach), or S Shuttle (To West Portal). This is also played on the 28 19th Ave. (To Fisherman's Wharf), 28R 19th Ave. Rapid (To Inner Richmond) Muni buses, or SF State Shuttle (To SF State) and also the WestCat LYNX Bus (To Hercules Transit Center). If you also noticed, banners were passed out outside the venue before the show, in which inside the venue when the screen said, "Please raise your banner now", is the sign that "When We Were Kids" was about to be performed.
For Muni Metro (Westbound direction) from Embarcadero, Montgomery, or Powell stations, an approaching train announcement is said towards the end of the song as the train arrives that says, “Arriving Westbound 2-car K to Balboa Park station/M to Balboa Park station/N to Ocean Beach/Shuttle to West Portal station”. For the Central Subway (Southbound direction) from Union Square/Market station, an approaching train announcement is said towards the end of the song as the train arrives that says, “Arriving Southbound 2-car T to Sunnydale and Bayshore”.
For Muni Bus and SF State Shuttle: Played during the AM commute on certain days of the week (Every other Mondays and every Thursdays during the Fall and Spring Semesters only)
For Muni Metro: Played anytime
For WestCat: Played either before or during the PM commute.
