These kinds of adults don’t treat students like people. Especially in high school, you may not have finished maturing, but you deserve the respect of an equal human being.

I feel like people who actually hate kids need therapy. People that forget that kids literally turn into adults and that they are actual human beings are not gonna treat them like human beings. I get the whole “kids dont have life experience and risk putting their life in danger” but in some situations adults that dont know you are acting like they know your limits better than you do (I don’t think I’ve ever had a good experience with a P.E. teacher) Also I’m in my last year of highscool and i got lucky and the teacher student communication got better.

FRR and they KNOOW if you talk back they have any and every excuse to literally ruin your life. My French teacher singles me out for doing the same thing EVERYONE in the room does and I have genuinely burst into tears in front of the whole class. Wild that you see somebody younger than you, with less power than you, and choose to ruin their day whilst they're trying to just make it through one of many school days just like you. If you don't like kids, why would you teach at a school?? ALso the thing you mentioned at the end of the video is definitely baaad for your voice! it puts strain on it n stuff so ONLY USE IN DIRE SITUATIONS??? (what would count as a dire situation? Idk..)

I had some WILD teachers when I was at school, I had some super chill ones as well, but fr some teachers just shouldn't be allowed in a classroom. Y'all younger folk are even lucky istg, I've had chairs thrown at me, I've been screamed at in front of the whole class, I've been literally called up in front of the class so my math teacher could invite the rest of the class to call me an idiot. And that wasn't even that long ago, only 15-20 years. Unfortunately it doesn't matter how much the rules and safeguards change to keep this kinda stuff from happening, mean people always find a way to get on their bs. You're so right that the sadistic teacher trope is real, and I think it gives kids who get picked on by authority figures a glimmer of hope, for me it felt like "okay this is a real thing that people know about", even if the rest of the adults in my life wouldn't validate my feelings. tl;dr: yea fr fr you're right
